Captain Otto’s Bicycle World

There claim to fame is being in business for 30 years. I don’t know how! Like the last review stated, the kid is super nice and wants to help; unfortunately I don’t think they have a clue! I dropped my bicycle off to be assembled and when it was ready for pickup I of course gave it a test drive. Well that inaugural test drive almost killed me.
First thing I noticed was the tires were still flat. Then the bike wouldn’t shift properly. Here comes the scary part, the handlebars were so loose they turned sideways on me while I was peddling, then the front tire almost came off and that’s when I realized the back breaks didn’t work!!!
I CAN’T MAKE THIS SHIT UP!!!
C’mon guys! The bike was better left in the box. Be a hero and not a zero. If you don’t know how to assemble a bicycle just say so and I’ll move on. You could have killed me!!!
I gave them 2 stars. 1 solely because the guy was really nice and 2 because their prices were far less than anyone else around《— that should have been my warning sign, but I figured you can’t be in business for 30 years through all our recessions and not be exceptional.
Mama always said, «son you get what you pay for». I need to listen more!!!
**I will say this… THEY MADE IT RIGHT!!! So I’ll give ‘em that credit too :)

A small shop but willing to help get what you need, Talking with the younger guy has always been a pleasant experience. But the older guy has been known to treat him rudely plus being a jerk while he was helping me. I left the shop and will not go back when he is there
