Lots of transients asking for money at this location. I usually only stop here if I am in the mood to pick up a Powerball ticket, otherwise I stay away.

As I was walking into the store I noticed a guy in a wheelchair(double amputee), said hi, and this was the conversation that transpired: Guy: «Hey bro, would you happen to have any spare change?» Me: «Not on me homie, but i’ll have some when I come back out ok? Guy: Ok, thank you man. I go in grab my delicious Gatorade, a cream cheese/jalapeño taquito roller, spot a little hoochie at the counter, compliment her extra tight L.A. Dodgers t-shirt and get in line. As i’m in line waiting to pay I see this short yuppie-ish bald white guy chatting up the wheelchair guy outside with a huge smile plastered on his face. He got in his truck and left. So I walk out and as i’m approaching him to give him a couple of bucks this is what he says: Guy: «Hey boss you’re not gonna believe this, but that guy just gave me a hundred bucks! Look bro! *He started crying* Me: «Holy shit dude, cool deal! Here you go I can’t do a bill, but I can do a couple of bucks. Guy: «God bless you man, there has to be a bigger plan in store for you and that other guy that just left. Thank you» Me: From your lips to God’s ears my friend. Have a great day.» Two things happened to me in that short period of time. One, I quenched my thirst and hunger with my delicious Gatorade and motherfucking taquito(oh so tasty) and most importantly… I stopped in here to get a bottle of Gatorade, and left with a life lesson and reaffirmation of the inherent goodness in people(i’m talking about the bald yuppie motherfucker) How helping strangers and not expecting a fucking thing in return makes you feel so good and makes you feel somehow rewarded if that makes any sense(talking about me now). Oh Thank Heaven.

This is your average 7-Eleven. They had the Homer Simpson sprinkle donuts. mmmmm donuts *drool* Anyways where was I. Oh yeah bought coffee for my dad and my aunt’s boyfriend while they were working on the apartment. The coffee was extremely hot and burnt myself in the process. I remember this place as a mom and pop liquor store when I was young like age 4 young.

Short and quick… this 7 – 11 is good simply because it’s there lol. But I do give them props for the new remodel: P Now they just need to bring down the prices and get some better and healthier foods in there! :) I give this 7 – 113 out of 5 stars.
