Went to Pamlico Jack’s with a group for dinner, and everyone enjoyed their food. They had an Oysters Rockefeller special that was others at my table thoroughly enjoyed(I’m not an oysters fan myself), and the steamed oysters were also much appreciated. I split their seafood platter with my mom, and we both loved the huge shrimp, scallops and flounder. Also, their painkiller cocktail was delicious(go for the Ultimate Painkiller bucket)!

Thanksgiving buffet at Pamlico Jacks was a superb dining experience. Fresh oysters on the half shell with horseradish. The she crab soup was very good as well. The chocolate mousse was great to finish it all off with. Also our waitress Rachel was eager to fill our drinks and bring us anything we didn’t see already laid out for us.

Great atmosphere, food and service. Joe«the Pirate» was especially nice and helpful and knowledgeable about local sights!

This is a good, kid friendly place. The food was surprisingly good too — it seems like a cheesy place at first. You can eat inside our outside in the ‘boat’. We had a special which was local swordfish and local blue crab… really tasty. I also love any place that serves cornbread.

We ate dinner here at sunset one night during our recent OBX vacation and it was gorgeous! We sat out on the patio where a local band was playing, and the patio is designed to make you feel like you’re on a pirate ship. There were some children in a nearby party who loved going up the stairs to pretend they were steering the ship. We started off with the Limey’s Lime in the Coconut drink which came in a bucket for 2 to share. We were taken care of by the bartender who was very attentive. I tried the crab cakes for dinner which were delicious! If you are not a fan of aioli, make sure to ask for it on the side– it came on top which I didn’t realize. The crab cakes themselves featured nice chunks of crab and had great seasoning. If you are looking for a nice sunset spot for dinner, look no further!

Awesome meal! The ambiance was great and the service was pretty good. The Pirates walking around and live music was an amazing addition as well. I got the High Seas Sauté and if you’re into seafood I highly recommend it. Best meal I’ve had here in OBX yet and I’ve been here for vacation four years now. Will definitely be coming here again and would recommend it to anyone.

I LOVED everything about this place. I loved the food. I’m not a huge sea food buff so I got the cheddar burger and it was huge and delicious. It came with amazing fries and cole slaw and I don’t even like cole slaw… it was awesome. My boyfriend had the high seas sauté and it was amazing. I don’t like sea food that much and omg. Crab, shrimp, pasta, SOGOOD! My sister had the salmon, swordfish, and rice which was grilled and she said it was five out of five even without the butter artichoke sauce. Great service. Fantastic ambiance. The staff were so friendly and were so into it. I can’t give this a better rating. I loved everything. Cleanly, tasty, friendly, just great. 100% yes. Don’t even question it.

Not sure how this could get anything other than 5 stars for dinner. Went with party of 9 including 3 children. Every meal was different and every meal was absolutely perfect. This is not an exaggeration. High seas sauté was out of this world. Server was very nice«ya’ll». Atmosphere was beautiful. Only complaint is raw oysters were very mediocre and did not come with hot sauce.

Love love love this place! We eat here every year and we are never disappointed. Food is fabulous. Wait staff went out of there way for our son’s birthday. The live music is always a treat. I highly suggest eating outside and around dusk as the view from the upper deck is amazing if the sunset over the sound. You will not be disappointed. A must try if you’re in the Nags Head area.

WOW. Have eaten here several times, and each time it has been great. Food has always been good. Apps are hot and tasty. Calamari has been our favorite each time and done just right. Entrees are good size and decent prices. Fried shrimp was really good and the shrimp and grits are really good as well. Never made the desert because of the amount of food. Prices are good for the beach. Service: Has always been quick, polite and willing to help you choose whats best for you. Staff shows knowledge of not only food, but drinks as well. Will return over and over. Arrive before 530 – 600 for better seating. After that it starts to get really busy. Thanks.

Another restaurant owned by «Mr. Kelly»(see my review of Kelly’s). The service was ok, we asked for a high chair at least 3 times before 2 were delivered to our table at one time, and we only needed one. The shrimp and grits were ah-mazing and the frozen Pain Killer(cocktail) went down fast and easy. There is a pirate who walks around entertaining people and he’s great to converse with. The portions are huge and pretty tasty. Oh, coupons are available in the Sunny Day coupon book and on the receipts from Kelly’s.

This was such a waste of money, unfortunately. I never write reviews but my hubs and I don’t want anyone else to waste their money here. We expected decent food, but EVERYTHING(except the free cornbread) was such a disappointment. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the staff was friendly. The food was just gross. The crab cake was a fried mess, the calamari tasted old, and the soup was mostly cream and little crab. My hubs said his pasta dish was extremely disappointing(little flavor and the sauce was watery)…especially for $ 25. I hope they revamp this menu to include some QUALITY options because the place itself was adorable.

Excellent people, excellent service, and surprising food. When on vacation, it is rare to find something that feels like a staple in your life. After visiting OBX many times, I can’t help but come here everytime. It doesn’t matter what I order, every time they have a special, I get that and it is better than I expected. Maybe it’s because of the added flair of the staff or the extra punch their killer view packs of the sound. If you’re a regular or simple tourist, check out this fine establishment.

Great atmosphere and food. Our party consisted of 4 adults and three children(3,6 and 8). We ate outside with the stunning sunset view and wonderful live music. Our waitress was excellent and the owner was walking around making sure everyone was satisfied. The food was great! I gave the restaurant 5 stars because of the atmosphere and we had a great experience, especially the children. It’s not always easy taking 3 children to dinner, at 6:30, after being at the beach all day and expect everyone to themselves, but we ALL had a great time.

We love this place. Never seems to be a wait. We were seated immediately with a table of 11 right at dinner rush in June. The service was amazing and the food was even better with a nice bayside view. We enjoyed the calamari and Carolina seafood platter which included fried fish, shrimp, mashed potatoes, and scallops. Everything was very fresh. Chocolate mousse for dessert and we were happily stuffed. We will certainly return to this business!

This is a better place for dinner. We brought the kids for lunch and were very disappointed in the very limited menu for both adults and kids. There just aren’t good enough choices. No potatoes on the menu for the few entrees, and though the menu offered a soup of the day, today they didn’t make any today. Very disappointed in our lunch choice today for our family vacation. I’m sitting here hungry, but in no way excited for the food I have coming. I just settled for one of the few unappealing choices. Nothing suited my fancy, because there is next to nothing on the menu.

Everyone was very nice and hospitable with our group of nine(two of them kids under 10), especially our waitress. The crab cake sandwich fell apart super easily, and was quite tasty(they use peppers in the crabcake, if anyone was wondering). I loved the fresh cut fries, and the cornbread that came before our meal(would have been even better warm, but that’s what doggy bags are for!). Definitely check this place out if you’re in the outer banks!

From the moment we walked in till the second we walked out we felt totally at home! We always sit at the bar since I am a former bartender and my lady is a bartender. And Alex was top shelf! There were plenty of wines, and house made cocktails to please every palette. The bar was well stocked and I couldn’t think of a drink that couldn’t be made. We decided after several cocktails that we should sample some of the fare they had to offer. The She Crab soup was recommended and did not fail to please. Their fried green tomatoes were of a southern grandmothers caliber(and they were the first that I have liked) the crab dip was simply Devine! The melba toast style bread brought the wonderful creamy and dry textures together, the freshness was palatable to none! We also sampled the oysters which were fresh, and mild. And at last the wasabi beef was to absolutely die for!!! And we found out that the wasabi shrimp is available by request and has won a foodie award! The total ambiance was brought together by the GM Doug. His kind attention and approachable attitude is the cement that ties it all together. Rarely have I seen a GM with such vitality to the care and standard of his resturaunt. I recommend and encourage all my friends to stop in if they are in Nags Head. Don’t miss out!,

Chauncey was an excellent server and really made our party of 17 feel like a small group! The blackened mahi oscar(special) was really delish and the shrimp and grits never disappoints.
