Overpriced and overrated place.
The fried fish was ok but at over 20 dollars for a main you do expect the sides to be decent. The corn bread was unpleasantly sweet, and even my husband, who really loves his cornbread, was unable to eat it. The baked potato was nothing special.
I got a small plate of fried shrimp with a side of cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was also horribly sweet. The four shrimp I had were alright, but not enough to save the meal.
Our food seemed overpriced, and our server was very very slow at attending to us. I will not be going back. The location is beautiful, but in the Outer Banks many places have that.

Great Restaurant… out door 2^nd deck patio was amazing.
Good friendly service and the food was excellent.
Waitress recommended the special… Fresh shrimp to made to order was
really a great choice… Wish we hadn’t gotten the Buffalo wing oysters because they
ensure you’ll leave stuffed.
I’d recommend Sugar Creek to family and friends.
Great Job Sugar… I’ll be back.
