This is a solid park. Nothing that really stands out from most parks I have been to but it is nice. Has disc golf, a place to camp and views of lake Cumberland, many parks, and the bathrooms are very typical of parks in Indy(mostly clean with one bathroom out of order. Looks like they clean bathroom once a day). Why I went here was for the eagle trail bike and hiking trail. I am a serious runner so I figured I would have no problem running this. Wrong. It’s all deep inclines and declines and you feel like you are in the middle of gatlinburg mountains. There are bridges where I’m not sure if there even is a trail after it and a lot of hiking and wet stones with an incline. It is a gorgeous hiking and mountain biking trail. The only advice I can give is do not run, or hike alone there!!! The park was filled with people so I figured I could run down there with a lot of people being on the trail. There was no one down there! No buildings, pure wilderness, no people at all. I actually stopped running because I truly felt like I was in the mountains all alone and I didn’t want to attract any predators(or crazy drunk rednecks). I wish I woulda taken pictures because it was so serene but I was pretty freaked being all alone so I hope the pretty images stay in my mind for a long time!
