Very disappointed. I have been buying products here for a few years now and have spent a lot of money. I recently went there and the place was a mess. The staff couldn’t be bothered and were too involved with talking to their friends inside and then outside the store. I waited to pay for my products for awhile and no one came, so instead of buying $ 100 worth of products, I left. If I’m not worth their time they aren’t worth my money. I will never go back.

Amazing places to shop for hair care products and also get your hair done. Mercy is the best stylist. She’s great at cuts, highlights, balayage(hair painting), wash and dry. I can’t live without my Moroccan Oil and Moroccan shampoo & condition.

The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They’re also very knowledgable about their products which helps a lot when you’re trying to decide what to buy. Also, if a product doesn’t work well for you(I’ve only bought hair products so I can’t speak on anything else) you can always return. Not to mention their prices are fair :-D Also, I should mention that I did get a haircut there once, but I didn’t like it. It wasn’t terrible, but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I asked for my hair to be left curly the way it is, but it was straightened and the layers I wanted weren’t there

I am extremely particular about my hair. As in since I was young, my sister was a head model for Vidal Sassoon and since then have been using high-end products such as Abba(the professional series, not the stuff they sell at Walmart) and have only had my hair cut by professionals. I used to live in the city and only went to Dramatics and even then only have my hair cut by one stylist in particular. Since I have moved to Rockland, B & M has more than met my challenge. They offer the best of professional products although I have given way to Enjoy products turning down Abba. Their prices are untouchable and Rita is amazing at men’s haircuts. Whether it’s razoring or strictly sticking withe the sheers. They are the only outfit in Rockland that gets business from me for anything styling or beauty related. They carry literally everything for ethnic products as well as products used for any hair type or ethnicity and if they don’t have it, they will have shipped from their parent store in Spanish Heights. I am super-pleased and am glad I found a home for beauty needs.

The store is accomodating if you need a particular product you do not see on the shelf. In my case the owner was very accomdating in getting a product i could only order online to his store and sell it to me cheaper than the internet price.

I would not recommend B&M as a go to for weaving afficianados. As a place to buy hair they fall short offering only weaving hair mixed with synthetic. I weave my own hair and can not abide synthetic hair. 100 percent human hair is the only kind I will spend money on because it is worth the money and is just better quality. I can say this for B&M. As soon as i walked in the young lady spotted me and asked me if she could help. I told her what I was looking for and she searched behind the make-up display. She was honest in telling me the selection only offered mixed synthetic and human hair. She even gave me the address to a place that had exactly what I needed. She was very helpful and polite. but B&M does not carry anything other than bone straight synthetic and human hair mixes.

Do yourself a favor and never get your hair died here! Mercedes turned my hair green after I visited her to put a darker blonde color in my bleached blonde hair. She of course offered to fix it on another date for free but I declined. When I had it fixed at another salon I was informed that she put an ash based blonde in my hair which is what caused it to turn green. Stick to buying shampoo, and combs here. A cosmetic place is just NOT the place to get your hair done, stick to the professional salons. The pricey hair salons may feel like highway robbery sometimes but if you have your hair done by amateurs you will end up spending much more in the long run trying to fix your hair I had too.
