Hampton Inn Nanuet

My sweetheatt and I spent Valentines at Hampton Inn. Excellent clean, professional staff, Great heated pool. Breakfast inclued. Great. Thank you

Too bad I cannot give a 1 star rating. This place, not a hotel, is horrible & I do mean horrible. Even the coffee was cold. I’m not picky but a place should be respectable & comfortable. First off, the walls are so thin that you can hear the television in the room next door even at 3 a.m. I’m not complaining about the television being on but you would think the walls could be just a bit thicker. That’s not the main reason of the review. The front desk was extremely rude. Asking for a $ 25 security deposit? I’ve stayed at 5 Star hotels all over the world but never had to be told about a security deposit in case I used the hotel phone. Uh, I thought the majority of people had mobile phones. Then, why can’t a family member, the brother of a family member receive a key without being told we cannot give you one because you may want to see your sister naked? WOW. Then there’s the housekeeping staff. We are Diamond Club members and housekeeping should just knock once. They should not knock over & over while I am saying okay one moment. She then proceeded to tell me that checkout is at 12 pm. I already knew this but our checkout is at 1 pm. Not only did housekeeping decide to police the checkout but the front desk called to make sure we were out before 1 pm. Forget about the mildew in another family member’s room or the peeling of the wall in our room but this is just not a place I would recommend. There is the Double Tree a few away.

Great rooms. immaculate and newly renovated. Staff is as nice as they come! Solid recommendation to stay here!

Recently updated since my first post. Significantly better. TV’s now all have Directv with a ton of channels. Sadly no NBCSN for you Hockey fans during the playoffs though. New chairs, chase lounges, and carpeting and baseboards. Water pressure is always good. They have made significant improvements over the last year.

Decent hotel… but the staff is what makes the difference… they are awesome… they have definitely changed my outlook when it comes to hampton inn… great job… thanks for everything

After a terrible nearby hotel experience, Hampton inn saves the day. Heather at the front desk was so nice and accommodating. Very professional. The room is awesome & clean. Lovely.

Hotel needs to upgrade the rooms and think about providing a little more quality at breakfast. Not the best Hampton I have been to recently.

I wish I could like this place just a little but more, I really do. Then I’d actually enjoy having to stay here. It’s not a bad hotel, but for the price it could be nicer. The showers are incredibly tiny, and I’m a small chick. We’ve stayed here two other times and each experience is about the same. The staff never seems like they enjoy their job (who does when you’re working overnight), and seem annoyed when you go to ask a question. The gym is short of anything nice. But that’s a personal preference, not everyone works out while they’re traveling. It gets rather loud outside our room, especially since we are right next to the lobby.
All negativity aside, it’s in a good location. Easy access to the thruway and the parkway. The beds are comfortable, there are the jacuzzi tubs (make sure they’re cleaned if you’re going to use them) and overall clean rooms.

Came here to go to a wedding nearby. The hotel would not allow an «early» check in at 2:15, with the wedding bus leaving at 3:15.
The lady at the front desk kept putting me off, and whenever I would approach the counter for an update, she would ask me to wait and then disappear for 10 – 15 minutes.
Eventually a different woman came to the front desk and checked me in to a different room (2 doubles instead of the king I booked), giving me and my girlfriend a whopping 15 minutes to get ready for the wedding, instead of the 90 minutes we had budgeted. The gf was NOT happy!
If I’m in the area again, I will be staying at the Marriott Fairfield across the street.

I’m a diamond member with Hilton and stay here frequently. This is my favorite Hampton Inn in the country.
Friendly, courteous staff, great rooms (specially the suites) and a great location.

I had to stay here for one night, on the tail end of a very very long trip back to NY from Buffalo. It was something like 2am and after 9 hours I was totally spent. Stopped by here on a whim and booked a room. They definitely gouged on the last minute reservation, but the hotel wasn’t too bad. The bed was comfortable and the linens were quite nice. I basically stayed for about 7 hours so I can’t comment on all the listed amenities, but for a good night’s sleep, this place is fine.
