I got my first tattoo last year. Jimi was very patient and helped me design my rose which I put on my right ankle. I was very satisfied with the result. Last month I stopped by Modern Age to talk to Jimi. I wanted to tattoo my left ankle with Hebrew writing. I showed Jimi some samples and he assured me that he would be able to do it. I wanted the word«Shalom», which means«peace» written in Hebrew lettering. We made an appointment for the next week. I was pleased when Jimi told me that he looked up the Hebrew word on line to get some ideas. I love the result. More tattoos? I’m 66 years old my friends don’t get it! Maybe just one more?

I was a stupid 18 year old about four years ago, and I decided to get a tattoo to piss off my parents. I was silly because I went to the first tattoo parlor I found, which was this one. The tattoo itself was okay, but my gosh I didn’t like my artist. Or any of the people that worked there. They made me feel really unwelcome like I was some sort of alien or something. I just shrugged it off. Now I wish I went somewhere else. Not that my tattoo was bad, but it could have definitely been better and less crooked.

Jimi fixed up a tattoo I already had and he did a great job. I’m so much happier with it now. He did exactly what I was hoping for and it turned out great. He was easy to talk to and made me feel as comfortable as I can be with a needle jabbing me lol. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and I’m so glad I went to him.

DONOTBUYBODYJEWERLYFROMTHISPLACE. I purchased a Belly Ring from here a week ago and the top came off within a minute of wearing. I came back and explained to an older woman there(she had an accent and short brown hair) and she would not replace the belly ring top or provide one bit of acceptable customer accommodation.

I came to Modern Age when my cartilage ear piercing that I got elsewhere became infected. I was a little turned off when I first walked into the shop, because nobody was there to greet me or even let me know how long I’d have to wait to be seen, so I docked a star for that. Carmen was great, removing my original piercing and replacing it with a new one, talking to me and letting me know what she was doing each step of the way. I did notice in another review that she had asked the reviewer to hold things for her — she did ask me to open a bag for her, but she had already put gloves on so I figured that was the reason, and it really didn’t bother me at all. It’s been 2 days and my ear is healing really quickly. Definitely worth the trip.

I love modern age! I got 4⁄5 of my tattoos there and all I can say is that they know quality. I’ve gotten my tattoo from all three guys including the owner and they are very nice and professional. Great place!

I love modern age tattoo. I never think to go anywhere else. honestly. it’s because of Jimmie; he’s the best. he’s done 6 of my tattoos, 3 of which were designed by him. he listens to what I want and always designs exactly what I describe. his lines are crazy clean, his designs are great, and he’s hilarious. I don’t trust anyone else to do my tattoos. thanks jimmie!

I’ve been getting my tattoos there from Day 1! I have always had a great experience there with all the staff and my artist. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. THey are always there to take questions, give suggestions and do absolutely wonderful work both Jimmie and Bobby. I would and do suggest this shop to everyone.
