Dear Mike; If you know who I am, you will surely know that this review will be a major rave for #1 Sushi. We have been enjoying your AYCE offerings since you first opened several years ago(in Pearl River) and since October in Nanuet. Your menu, your food, your staff, your service all are of the highest level which we really appreciate. We ave brought so many of our friends and relatives to introduce them to #1 Sushi which is really #1. Thanks Mike and staff!

This location is much fancier than the one in pearl river. The menu options are exactly the same. I love the all you can eat. Staff is attentive. I do think the pearl river location tastes more fresh though.

Location and size of the restaurant are great. Service not so much. Food is just meh. I’ll stick to the original location in Pearl River. Service is so much better even if the place is small and super busy.

Food is great and the price is just right. I always bring my friends and family here and they enjoy the all you can eat. This becomes their new go to sushi spot.

Location, location, location!!! No. 1 Sushi in Nanuet has really stepped up its game compared to its restaurant in Pearl River. There are lots of tables and plenty of space. The food is delicious. The All You Can Eat option may seem pricey but is very reasonable if you’re going to have more than 3 – 4 rolls! The service is quick and wait time is not long. Definitely a great spot for sushi, especially with a group of friends. Only negative was that some of the waiters/waitresses were hard to understand which made ordering drinks, etc, hard. Overall a great experience, and we’ll be back again!

If I could, I would write separate reviews for the restaurant and the delivery. Delivery: Aces. Prompt, delicious, gave us chopsticks(a lot of places don’t!) and large portions. Restaurant: Slow service, food was still delicious, but cup of water had paper in it. Delivery, surprisingly, wins! Never been to or ordered from Pearl River, reviews are for Nanuet location only.

My new go to sushi spot. I’ve been to so many sushi places but AYCE sushi of this quality is unbeatable. I showed up an hour before closing(bad form I know) but the manager(?) was funny and so kind even going under the table to search for my girlfriends card when she dropped it. They politely asked me to order as much as I could because the kitchen would close soon. I did and it was amazing. Try the Hawaii roll it’s fantastic.

Great service, delicious sushi, and all in a more central location than their original in pearl river. I’ve ordered takeout from the Pearl River location many times, and was always satisfied. Yesterday we stopped by the new location — we were in a rush but wanted a healthy lunch. We asked, what can we get that’s fastest? The waiter directed us to a few sushi and kitchen items, and indeed they came out quick and still delicious!

This one is much closer to us than the original one at Pearl River. The place is nice, spacious and clean. Food is very decent for«all you can eat». The price went up from when they first opened but I guess it is still affordable.

BESTSUSHIPLACEEVER. The environment is great and the decorations are beautiful! The staff is very friendly and attentive. They satisfy my every need and request. The AYCE is amazing especially for their prices: $ 20.95 on the weekdays and $ 22.95 on the weekends. Everything is always beautifully plated and there is a lot of things to choose from on their menus. All the fish is fresh and simply delicious! I would not spend my money on any other Japanese restaurant other than this one.

This place is definitely one of the best AYCE sushi places. They take the time in making the sushi rolls and everything tastes fresh. I highly recommend this place to those who live in the Rockland County area. Staff is very nice as well! Definitely want this place to be my go to spot.

This is a welcome addition to Nanuet as it brings quality Japanese food at a very reasonable price. My wife and I decided to come here for lunch after some shopping in the strip mall. The previous reviews here were good so we figured why not. I ordered a dinner bento box, which includes rice and a California Roll, plus your choice of soup or salad and an entrée or two. I had the salad, which was standard fare, as well as Chicken Teriyaki and a selection of sushi. The chicken was tasty and the sushi was fresh. My wife’s Salmon Teriyaki was seriously the biggest portion of such a dish we’ve ever seen, and we’ve been to many Japanese restaurants. Again it was cooked and seasoned wonderfully. Definitely a must go for those seeking solid Japanese food in the area at a good price.

Better location than the pearl river one and a lot bigger. The staff was really nice and friendly. I got a dinner box with shrimp tempura and it came with soup or salad and a California roll. It was delicious!!!

Much better than the pearl river location. Nicer, bigger, nicer staff. Hopefully they keep it up! I’d suggest more specials for different days of the week and a better way to serve the all you can eat sushi plates. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell which roll is which!

Another haunt in the now crowded Nanuet sushi sector. Sister outlet from the Pearl River restaurant with the identical name, this grandly opened newcomer has the same quality you’d expect from the other location. AYCE, for a pricey but fair $ 21 on weekdays, $ 23 on weekends. Quality was well above the other AYCE recently expanded outfit that filled the old Triangle with hibachis and fire suppression. Service was a little stiff, but friendly and effective. Food was brought out almost immediately, and the appetizers were especially nicely done. Nori salad was generous, and it truly was no pressure AYCE, with three chubby roundeyes going three full tours before facing the Divine Wind. Décor was simple if a bit Western, it was certainly brand new and super clean. Speaking any amount of Japanese here is not useful… not that I’m fluent, but ostensibly I know more than the staff. Yet another opportunity to show off, ruined. [sigh] While No. 1 is not *my* Number One, it is definitely worth a try… different folks like different things.
