I went here for the first time last night with my friend and we absolutely loved the food. We also ordered Martinis which were delcious. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. The restaurant itself had a great feel to it, dim and relaxed for a group of friends to hang out. 4 Stars because it is not as good at the one in Manhattan but then again its not located in Manhattan.

Normally i would have this restaurant a five cause I order here like twice a week but today’s meal me think otherwise I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the balsamic salad with grilled Chicken sounds great right … Yeah I was wrong both the chicken in my salad and on my sandwich is burnt with an odd taste. I tried to get rid of all the chicken that tasted odd but it’s soo much of it the only thing that tasted great was the French fries. Keeps me thinking if I want to order here again. Other than that the delivery guys are friendly and nice.

Hoping the food will be good. Walked into an empty restaurant for lunch, forty minutes ago. Wouldn’t you expect they would let you know if the item you order routinely takes forty minutes or more to prepare, especially at lunchtime? Nope. They claim ‘everybody knows’. Floor is sticky. Ladies room has motion sensor light that repeatedly turns off and requires quite a bit of arm waving to re-light it. Okay, our lunch arrived after more than a 45 minute wait. It was fresh, hot, well spiced. But we’re back on the freeway now. Good as it was, we would have ordered something quicker if we’d had any idea about the wait. Come on, guys, put a note on your menu. Everybody does NOT know. Five stars for the food, two for the lack of communication.

Food was delicious… will eat here again. Not a great location, stumbled by while waiting for my car to be serviced but it’s a really nice place.

I had order wings and fries for takeout. They say to pick up your order in 20 min. I did. As told when I got home the box was soggy from the heat and the Fries as well along with the chicken. I called the manager to complain he said he will give me a 10% smh how much is that you are saving on a $ 12 meal anyways I haven’t been back since

While this restaurant is named BC Chicken, don’t be fooled, it is not a genuine BonChon establishment(the location no longer appears on the BonChon website). My friends and I just ordered a good amount of food only to take our first bite to realize that we were duped. While the fried chicken is still an improvement over regular fast food fried chicken, it is no where close to the quality of real BonChon chicken. I think we’ll pass going forward and order Posa Posa next time around.

Food was VG. Just be prepared to wait a while for your food as the chicken takes a long time to cook because of how it is made. That is why the food takes a while to get to your table. They tell you this when you order the food.

2.5 stars First of all, this place is no longer Bön Chon, but is called BC Chicken. If you are looking for a Bön Chon sign you won’t find it. Secondly, they are beyond SLOW. Went there recently and although the restaurant was not very crowded we were told it would take 20 — 30 minutes, and they were RIGHT! It took 29 minutes. And this was for 12 wings and 12 strips of dead chicken. A serious WTF. I recently went to an ACTUAL Bön Chon and time from order to table was less than 10 minutes. Thirdly, it was not as good as Bön Chon in the city. Flavor seemed to be a bit lacking and the crispiness was not all there. Fourthly, the strip mall it is in is a bit crappy. If you like crappy strip malls, you’ll like this place! Fifly, there is an Office Max nearby with an awful assistant manager. Sixthsly, if you need a spark plug socket, 13/16″ to be exact, there is an Auto Zone nearby. Score!

I’m already a BonChon groupie. I’ve been to a few different locations. Whats interesting is how the menus at different locations vary aside from the world famous chicken. Some are just chicken, I’ve seen Korean BBQ at others and sushi too. The menu at this location offers some interesting twists to say the least. It’s also the least Korean one I’ve been to. First off — the chicken. THECHICKEN. Korean twice fried ecstasy. Get the spicy! The regular soy/garlic is good but the spicy is superior. They serve it with the usual side of daikon which is required to cool your mouth down from the heat of the spice. Also this location gives you a side dish with an order of chicken — rice or French fries. So I also ordered potstickers/gyoza. Let me tell you what this location does. They have pork, chicken and shrimp potstickers that are deep fried. They then brush a light layer of the fried chicken flavorings(soy/garlic or spicy) over them. I got the pork potstickers with the soy/garlic flavor. This was the perfect accompaniment to chicken ordered spicy. I like how they repurposed an ingredient here in a way I have yet to see at any other BonChons. In fact there is a lot of this going on here. On the menu they have Korean staple dish bulgoki served up in some interesting ways. Of course you can order it in a bowl with rice. However they also have bulgoki sliders… And a beef bulgoki sub/hero!?! Oh let’s not forget the bulgoki beef tacos. Yes, I said BULGOKITACOS. At first I stared blankly at the menu scratching my head. After the fact though, i realized its just more«repurposing». It’s interesting and atypical. Like I stated earlier in the review, this was the least Korean location I’ve ever been to. Now we come to dessert. Dessert. I did it. I got the deep fried Oreos. Holeee crap!!! They are coated in a light dough and deep fried. It’s like a piece of fried dough with chocolate cake and cream filling inside. The Oreo goes completely soft. They are served garnished with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. FATHEAVEN! I am eating nothing but salad for the next three days to make up for this. In conclusion, this BonChon location is the shiz! The food was perfect and the menu has some creative innovations.

I have always been a fan of Bön Chon, long before it was in Rockland. The city restaurants are a draw for not only football, happy hours, and late nights but also for regular dinner and lunch diners. This Bön Chon in Rockland County is equally as good if not a slight bit better in my opinion. This location has a great bar to sit at and watch sports, there are some late night events held here and the staff is really friendly. The menu items available outside of the normal chicken wings that Bön Chons are known for is equally as good and worth a try. If you happen to dine in then ask for a fried oreo to end your meal. Overall the place is clean and the space is well kept. There is room to sit and eat or to hang out at the bar. If you have not tried the Korean twice fried chicken that is the focal point of any bon chon then take your trip to this location and get some!

I’m impressed with the bulgoki sliders. And I also love the wings here. Either flavor is great. Soy garlic or spicy. I will have to come back to also try the desserts. Deep fried oreos. Amazing!

Having visited this location a few more times with my partner in crime since my original review I felt it was time to revisit my post and update it. And I have got to say this has become our favorite Bön Chon. This location really separates itself from the others in its layout and feel, It’s very unique, it has a neighborhood bar vibe going on, on my numerous visits I have recognized that it is a hangout for locals and regulars. It’s very welcoming. I feel right at home. And since it’s a bar, they also have weekly events and are open late! It’s much larger then most Bön chons as well, compared to the normal two table take out layout of your typical nj Bön chon. The manager of this location is a really friendly dude who we have gotten the opportunity to chat with on the last few occasions. He really goes out of his way to make sure everything is great. Last time we were there he presented us with this evil little concoction called deep fried Oreos. Lol simply one of the most amazing artery clogging treats one can enjoy! As with all Bön chons I always call the order in ahead of time since it takes approx 20⁄25 minutes to prepare since the chicken is cooked to order in a double fry process. The chicken is fried at a low temperature for 10 mins or so, rests for a few minutes then is finished off once more in the fryer. This technique of double frying allows the chickens fat beneath the skin to be rendered out completely leaving this paper thin super crispy skin of amazingness. That first bite Of crunch sends one into an ethereal world of culinary heaven. And there is no turning back, u find urself hooked. Underneath that thin layer of crunch you find clean juicy meat that is masterfully cooked. These aren’t those antibiotic diabolic hormone induced monstrosities you find at your local KFC, these chickens are all natural and it shows in its flavor and size. It’s fried chicken perfection period. I do not know what sort of voodoo or alchemy that they perform on these magical lil chickens but the crunch never goes away. Even a day later out of the fridge they are still just as crunchy and delicious and for that I salute you mr Bön chon magician.

This is quickly becoming my fav BonChon location. This place is pretty well hidden. Lol. Ignore the address, the BonChon is in the center by the Khols and chillis. Unlike the NJ chons… this location has a bar, pretty nice, some TV’s and a lot of tables. But what really sets them apart is their service. The dude running the place is mad cool, and always good conversation. They also bring us our food to the table. The service you get at this location is very on point, individual, and eager to please and always very very friendly. This is not something you usually get from a chain brand in any Foodie style. We go by at least once a week now. The chicken here has always been consistently flawless. Always crispy(even when its cold! So yum!). Every time eating there is like my first time w bonchon. I’m sorry PeckPeck, I don’t mean to cheat on you, but this is the only location worthy of competing for the best. The fries are always good. There’s always a few extra wings in there while we sit and talk to the manage. Comes w standard fries and daikon kimchee(which I’ve never been a fan of). We’ve had dumplings there too, not bad. The fodie porn money shot here for me tho was a desert. After working with the owner to try and register some listing issues for the address problem, and noticing Roger B and I taking constant pics and Unilocaling and spreading the word on Facebook… or maybe just cuz we r there often lately, the dude hooked us up with a plate of deep fried oreos and fresh whipped cream and it was so old it did hot, dirty, kinky and vulgar things to my body’s overly-inticed growing infatuation w this ultimate transcendence of food Epiphany. These places I have come to see are the great democratizer and glue of our tri-state melting pot, everyone of all walks of life and culture can appreciate almost impossible to beat wings n beer on a Friday night. Call ahead 20mins n order as all is fresh cooked. It is the best grub I’ve ever brought o parties. EVERYONE loves them. :-)

Now i am a big fan of Bonchon. I have been to all the Bonchon’s in the area and I have to say that the Nanuet location is the best one out of all of them. It is interesting that they sell more than just chicken. They have everything from the delicious chicken to deep fried Oreo’s. I am so glad that this came to the area… no more Planet Wings for me!!!

I have never been to Bonchon chicken or even heard of it before till a friend told me about it, the idea of Korean double fried chicken wings was hard to resist. Nice selections of portion sizes, wing sauces and even some options other than wings. The food always comes out piping hot! but the service takes forever, I’m sure this has to do with the fact that the wings are large and cooked to order so they take time, but it is still forever! Love the pickled diakon that is served with the wings just wish that they would drain them from the pickling liquid before serving it to you in a bowl swimming in juice. Place is clean although the bathroom could uses some extra attendance on refiling the TP and removing the overflowing garbage. I don’t suggest take out wings from here since the best part of the wings are the incredible crispy crunch when you bite into them, if you take them home the steam builds in the to-go box causing your wings to be soggy by the time you get home, I’m sure other menu items would be fine to take to-go just not the wings. Overall an OK place for sports nights since there is a bar and flat screen Tv’s, they always have specials for sporting events, and they generally publish them on their twitter and facebook pages!

This Bonchon(Korean fried chicken) place just opened up on May 1st. I believe it’s a chain with several locations in Manhattan. Unfortunately it’s the only bonchon place in town, so you really don’t have any other options. The chicken here is good, but not great. I had their Hot & Spicy and it could honestly use a little bit more flavor. They also charge as if they’re the only bonchon place in town. 20 wings will cost you $ 20, so it’s definitely not cheap. Expect to spend over $ 10/person here if you plan on getting full. They also have several other dishes like Bulgogi, or American food like Caesar Salad. I have not had any of the other dishes. Overall this place is worth trying if you’ve never had Bonchon, once you have it you’ll be hooked and you’ll want to try more offerings in NYC.
