The best family vineyard feel in napa. The dog, fudge is so cute. The owners are extremely friendly. A must do for off the beaten path. Quality rose and wine with a beautiful personal experience. Xx

Sciandri Family Vineyards in now one of my top favorite wineries to visit in the Napa-Valley area! They are a super small production(*boutique if you will) winery that honestly, produces some of the BEST cabs we have had in a while! We traditionally like the bigger, powerful cabernets and have always been more north in the valley, HOWEVER, I am SOHAPPY that our car service showed us the great AVA of Coombsville and the great winery of Sciandri Family Vineyards! We got a personal tour from Ron, the head of the Sciandri Family, followed by his daughter Rebecca who showed us the rest of their gorgeous property. Rebecca finished our tasting with some true gems of wines they produce, while providing a delicious spread of fresh salamis, cheeses, and olives! Their 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely AMAZING, as is their red-blend Syrah/Cab Cuvee! Looking back on my experience and the rest of the wineries we visited that day, I am kinda bummed I didn’t pick up more of their delicious wine to enjoy through the colder months here in Colorado! Luckily, I was told they ship wine, so I might just have to give them a call in the upcoming weeks! I am so happy to have gotten the opportunity to spend at Sciandri Family Vineyards, and I honestly cannot wait to go back to try the rest of what they have to offer!!! If you find yourself in this gorgeous part of the country, definitely give Sciandri Family Vineyards a call to make a tasting reservation appointment(and if you do, tell them Tyler S. says hi!).

If you’re looking for an authentic, «Napa-20-years-ago» tour/tasting, this is the ticket. The wine was fabulous but what made the experience memorable was the way the Rob and Roberta Sciandri treated us. There was none of the time pressure or touristy-feel that we thought we might find in Napa. They offer vineyard tours as well as winery tours. We opted for the vineyard tour, which is offered at the family’s home. After a stroll through the grounds with Rob Sciandri, we joined him and his wife on their patio overlooking the valley for casual conversation over wine and hors d’oeuvres. Their story is genuine and I would definitively recommend setting aside a couple hours to spend with them during your next visit to Napa.

I’ve been a fan of Sciandri Family Vineyards since enjoying an early barrel tasting of their 2006 release. If you’re lucky enough to visit the winery in person, you’ll realize why the wine is of such high quality when you meet the Sciandri’s. They put their heart and soul into the grapes and the wine. Do yourself a favor and buy a case of the 2006, give a few bottles to your friends, and cellar the rest. Can’t wait to taste the 2007!

Received a bottle of the 2006 Cab as a gift and absolutely LOVED it. So much so in fact that we made an appointment to visit the winery. I don’t know quite what I expected, but the winery and the Sciandri Family transported us to, what I can only imagine, a small Italian Villa feels like. We were made to feel like long lost family and ended up staying much longer than we intended. We had more of the 2006 and also tried the 2007. Both absolutely EXCELLENT!(And I’m picky!) I highly recommend all their wines and very much look forward to their future vintages.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon(their inaugural release), is very very very good, and will get better with time. I picked up a bottle in Yountville recently, at V Wine Cellar– the wine merchant at V recommended I let it sit, I opened it anyways… I was pleased as could be, and then immediately bought more to put away! It’s a fine young Cabernet, but a wine that if left in the bottle for a few years– will be SOKIND!!! I’ve met the Family, too. good people! Ron Jr. I have seen around town, trippy guy… he reminds me of Kojak, but happier. He must be drinking the family profits!
