Amplify Salon

I wanted to change up my style, but I didn’t know what I wanted since I have thick, dark brown hair that’s difficult to manage.
Amanda D. was so helpful! She found just the right colors to do a balayage/​ombré effect going from dark brown at the crown to light brown at the ends. It didn’t turn out brassy or orange-​looking at all, and I’ve gotten so many compliments!
She also gave me some advice on keeping the color nice for longer. I’ll definitely be going back.
The only thing that could be improved is if they would let you know in advance when a stylish only accepts cash/​check or they should always accept cards, since it’s kind of inconvenient to have to get cash or carry around checks.

I love Carrie!!! Best highlight I’ve ever had. I had a time limit too, and she did such a great job! She fixed my hair when I called her with an emergency situation! She took me within an hour of me calling and made my hair absolutely beautiful. I had an awful highlight job at Voodoo’s hair salon, and the Amplify team made my hair AMAZING. Thank you so much!!!

I called for a last minute cut and color. They were so amazing to accommodate me in such short notice. Carrie Bekker was my hair stylist and she did an amazing job to achieve this style. She was so sweet and very welcoming. I will definitely come back!!!

I did not make an appointment and just strolled in late on a Sunday afternoon. I was met with a friendly welcome and JoAnna cut my hair. Wish I had a before and after photo but she did an amazing job. I will certainly be back again.

Rocio is AMAZING! I came in for a cut and highlights and she did exactly what I asked for. She took her time, asked questions and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. This was the first time I left a salon and didn’t want to change a single thing about my hair. The cut, color and style were perfection! I will definitely be back and would highly recommend Rocio.

Kevin is the man! Use to go to barbers, but not anymore. Kevin is a master of his craft, highly recommend him.

I friggin LOVE this place! The atmosphere is so relaxed and everyone is really nice. My stylist JoAnna was the only person you has ever done my hair the way I really wanted it to the T! I will never trust another human being with my hair again and I do not let just anyone cut and color my hair. Plus she actually got 8 years of black dye out of my hair and I am not back to strawberry blonde. I am so excited to have found this place. Thank the hair gods!

I absolutely love this place. I have never ever had a bad experience! ! I first came here terrified to get my hair cut short again. I had some awful experiences at other salons and was really really nervous. However, I talked to Kevin and he recommended JoAnna Lopez. She is absolutely fantastic! I have been going to her to get my hair done for a while now. She never fails to impress and I trust her completely with my hair. I will never go to another salon again. She’s so nice, makes sure you get exactly what will look amazing on you, and is so accommodating! I trust her so much that I give her free reign with my hair. I can’t wait until I can save up enough to have her do my hair again. I have never had so much confidence in my stylist and my hair. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

I needed to get my hair done for a wedding I was attending in St. Helena this past weekend. Being from New England, I had no idea where to go. I found the Amplify Salon on line and am glad I did. Joanna did a wonderful job of creating a modified French twist. I received many compliments. I strongly recommend Joanna and the salon. C.B.

Amanda L nailed it on both cut and color this morning. In a complicated way I tried to describe that I wanted to keep my blonde darker and natural looking but still have some color variation and lightness and I wanted a graduated bob that wasn’t too graduated or make me look like I was trying too hard. She listened and did an amazing job. Highest recommendations!

Came for a visit to Nappa from Texas… wanted a style & wash before my winery tours. Alex was GREAT! She had me done within 1 hour! Great stylist! Highly recommend booking an appt w/​her!

I haven’t had my hair highlighted and styled in a long time. They were able to fit me in a late night appointment, did a FABULOUS job and I have a ton of compliments! I will definitely go back!

EVERYONE! Hey. I have been going to Amplify for the past year and although Amanda Dunn usually takes care of my highlights, she wasn’t in today and the very lovely (forgive my spelling if it’s wrong) Rocio took me in right away.
THIS WOMAN. It’s like being pampered by your Bff. As someone who gets their hair highlighted I am always skeptical of who does my hair — I don’t like big chunky pieces or copper tones. Obviously I’m a little demanding about my hair.
Rocio took me in with «open arms» so to speak. She made me look UH-​MAY-​ZING. so sad I’ll be leaving for school and have to look for another hair stylist. I might just have to suffer with roots until xmas break when I can come back to Rocio for the great care she gave me today.
The best thing was — she asks you questions. How you wear your hair and what you like. Versus giving a «I know what is gonna look good so just let me do it.» She takes into consideration your wants and … In the case of hair, your NEEDS.
GO MAKE AN APPT WITH HER!!!

I made a haircut appointment for myself and made an updo appointment for my mother. The person who took my call, Amanda, failed to put me on the schedule, even after stating that she cleared the time slot for my appointment. This review will not be based on Amanda, but on Summer.
Summer was scheduled to work on my mother’s updo and she felt bad about the incident and offered to do my hair. I felt really bad that I would mess up her schedule or take away from my mother’s updo and I declined her offer. I was more worried about my mother and her updo then I was about my hair, frankly because I hate my hair. Summer insisted and I was honest with her and told her how it made me nervous to have an updo, because I had fine hair and I was never able to style it for fear that people may notice my scalp. Summer comforted me and reassured me it was all going to be okay.
I have to say, she did an amazing job not only on my hair but my mother’s hair. I never do my hair and my mom wanted me to feel and look beautiful at the wedding and Summer just made it happen. What I didn’t tell Summer is that I cried a bit after she did my hair, because I felt beautiful. Something that I hadn’t felt in a long time. What I didn’t share with Summer was that I’ve just been battling getting over a divorce and through all the sadness experienced through this loss, I lost myself. Little by little I’m starting to move forward and discover self love. Summer, thank you for making me feel comfortable and for bringing out a light that was lost in all the darkness. I will def be making a stop to see you again from Hawaii.

Being new to the area, I was very skeptical about trying a new salon. I did a little research and made the decision to visit Amanda L for a cut and color. I’m not your average customer because I wanted to dye my hair purple. I’ve never bleached my hair so I was nervous about that on top of trying a new salon. I am SO glad that I came here. My hair turned out to be beautiful and even faded into a light purple/​silver. Everyone there was extremely friendly. And the prices are so reasonable! I give this place five stars all around! I will be coming back here :)

I have to say, im in love with my own hair, lol. Kaye Jaye at Amplify is amazingly talented… I wouldnt go to anyone else after her… who could possibly fill her shoes? umm noone… Thankyou you are amazing!!!
What i do want to add is, EVERYONE that came in today while i was there left happy and looked awesome. If your looking for a good hairstylist Kayes your girl, but all around the Salon itself has experienced, creatively talented people working there… YOU CANT GO WRONG!!!

Summer did my curls and eyebrows for NYE. I was very happy with the curls and eyebrow wax she gave me. Only hair stylist ever to not yell at me for washing my hair everyday. My curls stayed for 24+ hours so she did a wonderful job. She also gave me more of an arch in my eyebrows so they filled in very nicely. I would definitely recommend her for anybody’s hair styling and eyebrow needs!

I used to live in LA and went to multiple salons to get my hair cut.
I just moved up to Napa and was looking for a place I could go to get my hair cut for a long time.
Luckily, I found the place. I have just received the best haircut of my life so far.
Joanna worked hard and diligent in cutting my hair. With the small amount of information that I gave her, she was able to cut my hair exactly as I wanted.
I booked my next hair cut, and already recommended all my friends to come here.

I have been here a couple of times to color and cut my hair. Amanda D. Is really a great stylist but the atmosphere at this salon is bad.
In the Times I have been there I’ve heard them talk horrible about customers, about other co-​workers (obviously behide their back) and about other salon they used to work at. I think it was Studio B.
There is no professionalism. As a former customer I love the stylist work but not the atmosphere. Eventually this attuide could affect their busniess.
If you don’t mind hearing gossip it’s the perfect place to get your hair done.
P. S. they are also very territorial with customers.
