I’m new to the Napa area and I needed a haircut so I figured I’d try Groupon to get a deal and try out a new place. I met Carrie at the appointment time at 1pm. She was still styling someone else’s hair when my appointment started, no big deal I can be patient. However, at 1:30, she was still finishing up and I had to be at an event at 330, so I started getting antsy. I finally sat in the chair and showed her some photos of what I wanted and she started my shampoo and cut. She also let me know there wasnt time for any coloring services with my time constraints so I appreciated her honesty with that. I told her I would make a future appointment for coloring and she was very specific that I could only use a Groupon 1 time, and next time would be full price. Ok no problem. Once she started cutting my hair I felt like she had some nice skills but she did seem really nervous the whole time. She kept answering her phone and speaking with the other stylist, but what I’m used to is a stylist that talks with the client. Anyway, she got to the part where she started styling my bangs and I felt like I had to keep directing her, like«they still look heavy, can you thin them?» Also, had to show her the picture again and she said she didn’t feel like my hair could do that. I finally cut the appointment short and said I had to go when I felt like my bangs kept going shorter and shorter! after some home styling I was able to style my own bangs the way I wanted and I actually liked the cut, I was pleasantly suprised! During my cut, Carrie said I could come back at any time for a bang trim so I made a second appointment for the bangs last week. I showed up at the appointment and no Carrrie in sight. The other stylist called her and Carrie was already home and insisted I had made a mistake that the appointment was acutally the next day. However I knew when I booked the appointment I had to work the next day so there was no way I would have done that. With all that, in the future I’ll just go somewhere else for haircutting.

Professional, caring staff and owner operated, and good prices for the high quality of atmosphere and Service. I love to see women thrive and do well and create something wonderful to enhance other women’s lifes. This is that sort of place. Also, I love the new location on Solano Ave, very peaceful and easy to find parking. I came here for a special hair treatment, and left with silky and beautiful hair and a ton more confidence.

Wow! The other two reviews are really bitter. Kenny R., you are a freak with too much time on your hands :)) My wife has had Michelle cut her hair for over 10 years and I never heard her complain once. It always looks great. Kenny, take a «bic» to your head and maybe that will make you happy…

So I had the pleasure of meeting a great woman today!!! I received a gift certificate for a salon called Nevaeh. Michelle is the owner and she was my gal. I have to admit, I was nervous for several reasons, 1. I had a gift certificate so would she do her best? and 2. there were several bad comments here about this Salon. The funny thing about these reviews were, there were no pictures nor real proof that the people writing them were telling the truth. It really felt like someone had a grudge. So I went yesterday and when I walked in I immediately felt at home. The girls there were chatting and having fun which I loved. Michelle called me by name and was just finishing up with her client who, by the way, looked fabulous! It was my turn now and I was still a bit nervous as I have had bad hair do’s but something told me I would not be disappointed. Michelle and I began to talk like we had known each other for years and she was so down to earth. She listened to what I wanted and she added her own touch. I ABSOLUTELYLOVEHERIDEAOFRED! I was with her for 3 hours but it didnt feel like that long. I got to hang out with her adorable little doggies(her salon is attached to her home!!! No commute for her!!!) and Britney was a blast to meet. I have found my new hair stylist and the salon I will be loyal to forever!!! Thanks to you guys!!! And on a side note, to the previous reviewers… SHAMEONYOU!

Check out the testimonial photos on their website. They are worth a million worthless words falling to the floor like hair to be swept up and thrown out into the gutter. The expression on the customers’ faces in those pictures make it seem like they got arrested for a crime they didn’t commit. The wrongly accused have to pay for a crime in which they are the victim(while the perpetrator chops their hair off, talks their ears off). Did you see those pictures? You can hear the silent screams shooting from the vacant mouths, the last wasted breath before the damage is done. The whole experience makes you clench your fists under the apron, digging thumbs into your legs as the narcissistic cutter fails miserably at small talk. The only ray of hope is that it will be over soon. The only positive thought you can conjure is: It will grow back. ITWILLGROWBACK, RIGHT?! Yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Oh wait, that’s actually a lantern burning, its flame laughing in the dead end cave that is this hair salon. «That’ll be thirty bucks please.»

The ladies were pleasant and I enjoyed the casual atmosphere. I did not appreciate being pressured into having my hair highlighted only to find that the gal doing my hair did not know what she was doing, i.e. did not know which colors to use or how long to leave in my hair. She was great with brows no doubt, but I won’t pay to have my hair cut and colored to look like a sheepdog there again.

This review is for the esthetician, Jenny, at Nevaeh. She did my eyebrows in November and had some good feedback about shape, products to induce hair growth and penciling them in. I’m not a fan of the chola look or the chola girls or the guys who choose to date them — so I’m going for the extreme opposite. I believe Jenny can help me get there! I do feel the prices are a bit high for the atmosphere. But if you can get past that and imagine yourself in an upscale restful Napa Valley Spa — her skills are worth the price.

I just went to nevaeh a couple of weeks ago, they got me in at the last minute since my normal stylist canceled on me. I have to say that I will be going there from now on! Brittany cut off nearly 10 in of my hair and highlights and did a great job! I love my new hair cut! The two other ladies that were working while I was in there were very nice as well.

I found this place while I was doing some shopping downtown and decided to stop in for a trim. should have known better and called one of my friends. BIGMISTAKE! They were more than happy to accommodate a walk-in and the staff were all very friendly, but I wish I could say the same good things about my hair cut. I had asked for a more edgy style and I was excited when she was using the razor all over my hair. What I got, however, was a bland bowl cut, remember the Dorothy Hamill? It didn’t move, stuck flat to my head and just looked like a helmet. When I mentioned this, her response was«what you asked for doesn’t really work for you hair texture». Two things– First, shouldn’t she have said something to me before she started cutting? And Second, I have had short hair for the past 5 years and no one has ever had any problems giving it body, movement and texture. Even after I got home, I couldn’t make it look any better. Sorry, Neveah. I’m going to Voodoo’s from now on, they fixed my hair right up.
