A friend recommended we dine at Atlas Social, I had not even heard of it at this point. I live in Napa but do not know of all the new restaurants popping up in our small town, mostly because I work out of town. I brought two bottles of Beringer Private Reserve to enjoy with our meal. We sat at the bar, it was a Tuesday evening and there was only one other couple in the dining room. We like conversing with the staff every where we go. We ordered several small plates, all were wonderful, my favorite was the Rabbit Pot Pie! The chef came out with at least two plates for us to try on top of what we had ordered, I highly recommend this restaurant. Great service, wonderful menu, and of course the staff! I would give more menu details however my memory is a bit clouded after the wine!

I want to like this place, but it’s tough. It replaced bistro sabor, which was amazing! Plates are small(I know it’s tapas). Ambiance is nice. Steak and fries– basically a huge plate of fries with a few pieces of meat that are chewy. Octopus dish is lacking. Burrata is ok, but nothing to rave about. I do like the gnocchi and cauliflower dishes. Chocolate mousse is disappointing. Corkage fee is $ 15. I have been here a total of three times and can honestly say I’ve given it a fair chance. Fun place to have a drink. Nice wine list.

We found Atlas Social randomly while visiting Napa for a Wine and Canvas event at a local winery. We were absolutely starving when we arrived and found ourselves very lucky to wander into Atlas Social! The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed. This looks like a typical hang out bar but once we received the menu or took a peak at the Happy Hour specials we knew this was no typical bar. Since we arrived so early in the afternoon we took advantage of some bites from the Happy Hour menu including Crab Toast, Chicken Skewers, French Fries with a delicious house made aioli, and pork belly tacos. The food was fantastic, as was our server who was attentive while allowing us space to enjoy ourselves. I was impressed with the pacing of our dishes and the fact that our water glasses(and sparkling wine glasses…) were never left unattended. This seems like the type of place that I would love to visit if I lived locally, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite and delicious sip or two while wandering around Napa.

So busy eating and enjoying my food, I didn’t take any pictures. Small plates, modern décor, attentive staff. Loved everything we tasted: truffle Mac n cheese, fontana dumplings, brussel sprouts, pork belly taco, burrata with squash, and house made churros for dessert –flavorful small plates. Such a tasty dinner.

Great location in downtown Napa. The place was very inviting and we had high expectations; however, it sort of fell short. The charcuterie plate was very mediocre and the rest of the tapas style dishes lacked flavor. Service was attentive and atmosphere was pleasant. Despite the food not being very good we still enjoyed a nice evening on the patio.

I reserved a table for 10 for my bridal shower for when they opened on a Sunday morning. When we arrived we were all pleasantly surprised. The place is well decorated with really nice modern décor esp the bathroom. We were given the option to sit inside or outside. Seeing how it was raining we decided to sit inside at a tall table. The table has hooks on the underside for purses which is a nice touch. There are also coat hooks on a nearby wall. The service was very on point for all ten of us and was perfectly attentive. I ordered a coffee and it was really good. The food was a good mix or your regular stuff and some fancy experimental items. All very tasty. Everyone enjoyed the food and had a great time.

Every plate was absolutely delicious. Great staff, low key local wine list. All around a great experience. Shared plates… Try the rilettes and the rabbit pot pie.

Modern space that is inviting, except when you sit at one of the tables in the back. They are so close together it was like sharing your table with strangers. The service was excellent, the waiter explained how the menu worked and was prompt and polite. The food is a very wide array of different styles and flavors and is fun to choose different dishes. That said, the food itself while good, not exceptional, and even underwhelming. We will probably be back at some point to give it another try. Hopefully the dishes will pop, because as described they sound like they should.

I went here with my bf couple of months ago and our experience overall was just okay. We ordered oysters, herb leaf fries, pork belly tacos and cherry cola wings. I liked how some of their dishes was presented. Out of the four, I only enjoyed the oysters but even then I have had better. The herb leaf fries was too salty. The pork belly tacos was not what I imagined when I ordered it. I was assuming it would be fried slices of the pork belly. Anyways it was cooked like pulled pork and since it was cooked that way, it was super oily. The pineapple topping? Sounds good and I can see how it would go together but I just didn’t like it. Cherry cola wings… not memorable. Would I try this place again? Maybe… not

My daughter and I booked a reservation here this week. We wanted tapas and Zuzu had a kitchen fire so is closed for repairs. The positives: the patio was nice, especially at 7p, 80 some degrees with very little humidity. Service was very good! I really liked the mussels– the sauce had a little kick to it, but the portion was stingy. The Scottish egg on bacon bits was very good! The negatives: the ricotta plate tasted like uncooked yeast– I just couldn’t get past the texture. The crab ‘toasts’ were fried and very ‘bready’. With an inexpensive bottle of Pinot Gris, total bill for two was appx $ 70. Not too bad.

Even though we are local, we don’t go downtown very often. We were very happy with both the food and the service at Atlas Social. The server was very helpful and friendly, and knew the menu/ingredients well. He steered us towards the happy hour size of the fries, telling us it was smaller. It was still a gigantic portion of perfectly done fries. The tempura vegetables were also very good, very light with a nice mustard sauce. We had two salad plates, arugula & sweet corn with feta(my choice) and heirloom melons & cucumbers with pickled ginger vinaigrette(my wife talked me into it, thankfully) which were both perfect for a hot day. The star of the show for me were the ricotta dumplings. I really can’t say enough about this dish. The slow-cooked tomato sauce with smokey aged cheese really made these work. I will have to have these again very soon. We saved a little room for dessert and had the caramel cream cheese flan which was kind of a cross between traditional flan and cheesecake. It was also very good, and the caramel sauce was outstanding. Great selection of beer and wine from what I could see, plus happy hour plates(oysters, tacos, etc). The vibe was friendly, and the interior is a modern wood theme. Clearly a lot of thought went into everything, and it really paid off. Highly recommended.

We stopped here for lunch before heading home after a weekend in Napa. I’d have to say, this is probably one of the better places we’ve had to eat all weekend. There were only 2 other tables sat and a few out on the patio. Fairly quiet Sunday brunch/lunch, which was nice. Our server was very attentive and made sure everything we ordered contained nothing I was allergic to. They even modified some dishes too! Between 2 people, what we ordered was more than enough! Herb Leaf Fries — HUGE portion! Good for 3 – 4 people to share as an appetizer or side. Good flavor though! Cherry Cola BBQ Chicken Wings — Very saucy with a little kick. My boyfriend said he couldn’t taste the cherry cola, but I could taste the cola. Just not that much of cherry… it was semi sweet and spicy though. Hand Chopped Beef Tartare — I appreciate the chef modifying this dish, but I think I’ll pass next time. The beef wasted too chewy and chunky. I’ve had beef tartare before, but usually it’s more tender. We felt like we were chewing for days lol Pork Belly Tacos al Pastor — These were GOOD! Except you should ask for some salsa on the side. Good service, good recommendations, and good food for the price. Definitely a good lunch spot to share a bunch of tapas.

Came here on a very nice Saturday with a large group. Overall, food, service and price makes it one of the best places in the bay area. 5 stars food Fries — Crispy, seasoned goodness. Atlas Jacks — Great sweet snack that is light. Really enjoyed them Pork Buns — Definitely one of my favorites Oysters Mixed spring greens 5 stars service: our servers had a sense of humor and didn’t at all that some of the part likely enjoyed too much wine. I didn’t try some of the other dishes, but people my friends kept repeating how good everything was. Our overall cost was after tax and tip $ 35 and everyone left full.

Food was quite good at Atlas Social. My husband I shared most of the dishes, and we took our waiters advice on what to order. He was knowledgeable and definitely steered us in the right direction. We started with the mixed greens, macadamia nut vinaigrette, and warm goat cheese, which was delicious. Following that, we had a half-dozen oysters, which were also very good. My favorite dish, however, was the wild king salmon with smoked almonds. It was outstanding, and I highly recommend it! I will say that the overall ambiance on the patio was a little lacking. You overlook the square, which is nice, but it’s missing a certain je né sais quoi. Perhaps if we had been inside, I’d have felt differently. The food, however, made up for whatever was lacking in scenery/ambiance.

We came here on the recommendation of our hotel concierge, who said they had some healthy options. And that they did! Salads and light bites galore. The owner greeted us upon arrival, and nicely brought us our wine/drinks. Our waitress was very sweet and made some good recs. My fav part of the meal was the pork belly tacos, which I think just about anyone would enjoy.

When we entered this restaurant it had a really nice ambience… very upscale but homey maybe bc of the woodsy interior. There were eight of us on this foodie tour so we got to enjoy a few tapas here. The owner captivated us a bit. This restaurant is a very classy joint that I can see or wish it was located in our town but I guess we would need to travel to Napa and enjoy it ourselves. We were told by the owner that this restaurant is located centrally here in Napa. Sherry our guide said this restaurant just opened this past January 2015 which would explained the beautiful newness of it. Several items came out quickly right after all of us were served with ice cold water. First was the bahn mi. A Vietnamese sandwich although the bread was more like a sourdough crusted bread with cucumber, carrot and daikon plus thin salami & pork spread(rillette). I decided to only eat the inside of the sandwich as I didn’t want to get overly full before trying the next two small dishes. It was a good thing as the crab toast was to die for. I could have easily eaten four of those as I never had anything like that before. I then cut into the Panko crusted fried egg with bacon jam. OMG! Another tapa TDF. Yummy in my tummy. Again I’ve never experienced anything like that before! They have this global sharing right! Now all they need is some entertainment like smooth jazz to take it to the next level! When I overheard someone being seated outdoors, I thought that’s really a nice plus. I love outdoor seating but some of us may not like being outside as it was a bit warm today in Napa. It was okay bc we really had wonderful seating in the middle of the restaurant that was communally charming and beautiful. You can bet that we will be back here to try other dishes like chef Ritchie’s chicken pot pie or Dixon lamb chops or better yet the chocolate pot de crème with cherries for dessert! Luckily we walked to this restaurant from the Napa Mill where we were able to park. I didn’t see parking on the street but heard there was a structure nearby for three hours! Plus I thought the restroom was interesting as it was in black & white literally!!! I’m sure we will be back for more new entrees or tapas as well as dessert! It would give us an excuse to drive back out here! That’s not a bad thought at all!

Atlas Social is owned by the same folks behind Norman Rose and Azzuro Pizza which are also located in downtown Napa. We walked past the restaurant our first night in Napa and found the dog friendly patio and the modern new restaurant appealing. We were hungry for some small plates and Atlas Social fit the bill. We sat near the open kitchen and watched the chefs in action. They have an excellent wine list and beer selection. The wines are primarily from California with a few goodies from Oregon. I ordered the Judd’s Hill Pinot Noir, hamachi crudo and the«angry» shrimp cocktail from the«sea» menu. Jesse ordered the lamb chops and bahn mi off the«ranch» menu. The hamachi crudo had tender pieces of yellowtail served with preserved kumquat, pine nuts and fresh horseradish. The fish quality was excellent but I would have preferred a brighter flavors than using the kumquat and horseradish. The«angry» shrimp cocktail had plump perfectly prepared shrimp complimented by basil, chilies and orange. The lamb chops were marinated in red wine and complimented by a delightful mint-lime marmalade. The lamb was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend this dish. The bahn mi sandwich with flavorful pork rillette, rich salami rosso topped with crunchy cucumbers, carrot & daikon was definitely the hardiest of the dishes. I loved the flavor of the meats but would prefer less sauce. Atlas Social has a great atmosphere, delicious food and a fabulous wine list. It is nice but not formal and they show the games at the bar.

Ahhhhh, Napa, I just love you more and more. Yes, the downtown area is modernizing in the blink of an eye, but you gotta love it. Every new edition to the once sleepy downtown beat is like a breath of Californi-fied fresh air. Nothing too crazy or over-the-top; nothing too flashy or gaudy. Just tastefully designed eateries, tasting rooms and venues(City Winery, anyone?!) to breathe some new life into this city. I could literally eat(and drink) at Atlas Social every day, all day. 5-snaps around the world and back. And YASGIRL! they just opened up lunch service. This is my kinda spot for lunch, dinner, drinks, whateva my pleasure. Let’s see, how would I describe this place… It’s like walking into a really hip, laid-back, California-cool kind of eatery. Pretty happening inside, kind of like the Napa version of Nopa and good vibes all around. That being said, I can’t say enough about the food. I am happy to report that any vegetarian would do VERY well here. Plates are meant to be shared so my table of 3 had about 7 or 8 plates total :) On my list: Ricotta Gnocchi(no heaviness here. Very light and fluffy), vegetable tempura(also so light and fluffy!), some seasonal salad with Asparagus(sorry I cannot remember the name), Cauliflower steak(no, it’s not a real steak. It’s a yummified veggie version), and for dessert… drumroll please… POTDECREME. Can you tell I loved it? Marsala-marinated cherries made it for me. Add all of that to an absolutely stellar wine list and I’m good and good. Such a great spot to sit outside, enjoy a glass of wine, some great food, and mix and mingle with folks in the area. Just a quick FYI: Wine Country busy season is around the corner, so now is the PERFECT time to get out of the city, grab a seat at Atlas and RELAX!!!
