It may be blasphemy, but when wine tastes fantastic even in a plastic glass… that, my friends, is my true test of a great wine. Hold on, I’ll start this story at the beginning. Oct ’06 — 45 wineries in a Napa Valley wine tasting at the Limn gallery(tickets courtesy of my client!). Tasting a lot(A… LOT!!) of wine. Jocelyn stood out as a favorite, but we hoped that our wine-soaked memory served us right. July ’07 — Brandi quickly returned a message I left to schedule a next-day visit to the tasting room. We ventured onto the winery adventure of Atlas Peak Road and found the hilltop location. Susan kindly answered all of our questions while we chatted on the back patio sipping the amazing 04 Cab($ 35) and 04 Reserve Cab($ 70). An absolutely idyllic property, I found myself staring out over the eastern valley and just appreciating the scenery, the shade from the summer sun and the light breeze. Aug ’07 — Lazy weekend picnic. Sandwich. Blanket. Cute boy. Napa Cab & plastic glasses… heavenly.

We began our Jocelyn journey when we met Susan and Brandi at our Club’s Wine and Food Faire in November of 2005. From the very beginning we could tell they were caring and passionate about people and their wines. At this event we purchased our first case of 2002 Jocelyn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. We soon ran short of Jocelyn wine and visited their Atlas Peak property which I can only describe as awe inspiring and truly a little piece of Heaven. This was when we became true Jocelyn converts and evangelizers. Not only are we Wine Club members but also our two daughter’s and son-in-laws have since joined along with numerous friends who are(self proclaimed) wine aficionados. We look forward to our frequent Napa visits and the beautiful, however winding 8.5 mile trip to the top of Atlas Peak for our little piece of Jocelyn Heaven.
