Awesome food truck. First exposed at a vineyard function. Tried to book them for an event but got turned off by the approach($ 50/person for tasting, $ 200 for travel, 4x$$ for staffing with 4 hr minimum, $ 200 for showing up, etc.). Great food and may be fine if you are using corporate(cash cow) or investors’ funds, but if you are paying for your own function, was put off(minus 1 star).

Really! This is the best way to throw a casual afternoon party with food. Don’t call a caterer or a rental company. Call Mark(or email), decide what you want to serve, we did 4 sliders: fried chicken, pulled pork, burger and duck burger. All were 10⁄10! The sides also were great, potato leek gratin was the best, beans, slaws, wow, all wonderful. I know this sounds giddy, but really, he shows up, cooks great food, and takes his stuff with him, like no cleanup. Great birthday party!

Mark’s the Spot really hits the spot! Their food truck visits the Napa Valley College once a week and I try to get something when I can. I really like how they change their menu often to add variety. Not only are their food damn delicious, but their presentation’s pretty well done too. I’ve ordered their California Bowl and it is too good for words, especially with the Crispy Chicken on top. Their quesadilla and sliders are really good, as well. My only complaint though, is the price. Kind of pricey for a college student on a budget like me.

Needed an emergency caterer For 30 ppl on one day’s notice. Mark and his team delivered. To be honest I would have taken anything. Mark’s getting 5 stars because in addition to a) being there when he said he would B) being ready when he said he would C) providing super friendly service And D) serving food that event attendees called«the best conference social catering they have ever had. The price was insanely fair. Thank you Mark And I c ant wait to work with you again at next years event.

It does not get any better than Marks the Spot. We just had it again and that makes three times this month so I had to post this. I am always blown how the ohh girl chicken slider is consistently fresh and delicious. Restauranteurs could learn a thing or two from Marks the Spot — fast, friendly, super fresh ingredients and a great value. Thanks Marks the Spot, you guys rock!

Just had Mark’s the Spot again(can’t stay away from this truck!) and was impressed yet again. Fast service, thoughtfully constructed food and a smile — it doesn’t get much better than that! I think I might be addicted to the Oooh Girl Chicken Sliders — crispy and light on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, surrounded by a fluffy bun and dressed greens. Yum.

Usually I buy from this truck whenever they’re at Napa Valley College. This is no ordinary food truck. It serves a rather small menu, and each item is premium price. But the quality of the food is superb. I tried their 8-dollar ¼ pounder burger with cheese, and for the price it is very filling. The meat was medium rare, while they use sharp cheddar cheese. One thing though is how they use cole slaw in their burgers. Although I would give them 4 stars, their prices knock it down one.

It’s extremely rare to find a food truck or even a restaurant of this high quality. All the ingredients are local and fresh. Every time I see the truck driving through town I get pretty excited to the point that I want to stalk it to its destination and buy a meal. Of course I still get like that over the icecream truck at my age. If Mark’s the Spot stocked ninja turtle icecream I would be set for life. Arguably the best food on the menu is the sliders. This truck has a few different kinds to try and they’re all worth a taste. You can not go wrong with a single item on this menu. Anyone visiting Napa for the first time should track down this truck if they can. Though occassionally that can be difficult due to the high amount of catering they do. Good thing the owner runs a facebook page that helps his customers track him down. The prices are steep and it’s really the only downside to the place, but I honestly can’t see how food made with this level of ingredients could ever be made cheaper. I respect the owner for sticking with his guns and not compromising the flavor of his food.

Awesome food and great customer service! The day before a last minute lunch gathering, I left an email message for Mark’s the Spot asking if they were available. I received a response within 10 minutes and was able to work through a menu and details within an hour. Wow. Mark was on time at our site the next day and served a wonderful menu of pulled pork and chicken sliders, heirloom tomato and ceasar salads and mac & cheese. Everyone raved about how fabulous the food was. I highly recommend Mark, his food and his service. Top notch!

Can’t say enough about Mark and his team. We were lucky enough to have them cater our wedding and they helped make a special day even more special. I can’t recall how many times our guests opined on the amazing fried chicken, tasty pork roast with chimichurri sauce or wonderfully fresh salads. I’m not planning on getting married again in this lifetime but if I had to plan another wedding I wouldn’t think twice about contacting Mark’s the Spot all over again!

I’ve had Marks The Spot twice. First time was a catering event at my work. The food was amazing and delicious! I had the sliders(burger and chicken) and some yummy sides! I raved about it to my boyfriend and told him we had to find the truck and go back. Second time(approx 1 year later; last week), we were on our way to Gotts but I remembered they park at Napa Valley College on Monday and talked my boyfriend into going. I ordered a California Chicken Bowl with fried chicken and bf had the Bubba Burger with fries and a soda. The burger fell flat on its face(if it had one), it was poorly seasoned and wasn’t impressive. His fries were normal(hot, crispy, yummy). My chicken bowl was pretty good but the rice was really mushy and there wasn’t much chicken(compared to some bowls I saw going out). So not so good 2nd experience. Hopefully 3rd time will be a charm.

WONDERFULFOROURWEDDING!!! We hired Mark for our CA country wedding and he and his staff were awesome! Great food, friendly service and super fun food truck! All of our 125 guests loved the food, said it was just perfect for a casual picnic style wedding. Mark was a delight to work with and was quick to answer any and all of our questions. We had… Pulled Pork Sliders, Chichen Sliders, Fried Green Tomato Sliders Green Bean, Roasted Corn & Heirloom Tomato Salad Brownie Pops and Lemon Curd cups Highly recommend Marks the Spot for any events :)

Was at an event that Mark’s the Spot catered; the food was expertly prepared and delicious. Of particular note was the fried chicken slider, where the chicken was breaded perfectly and crispy, but moist and juicy inside. Also, the mac and cheese balls were outrageously good — crisp and creamy and gooey and just comfort food in a new form. Next time I’m in the area — and I’m able to pick where I eat, rather than this past trip, where the food decisions were up to other people — I’ll be looking out for Mark’s truck.

We married in November and used Mark as the caterer. Presentation and price were great, service was good and food was amazing. I am still getting compliments on the sliders and nobody likes food at weddings. The only Con– I was so wrapped up that I didn’t even notice he brought the truck– missed photo opportunity!

On a cold overcast afternoon while walking along Fort Mason Park I noticed this food truck parked below at Fort Mason Center( ). I was about an hour early anyways for my volunteer shift at the annual BevMo! Holiday BeerFest at one of the pavilions down below so I decided to jump into the long line and give this food truck a try. Once I realized the«Fine Food Truck» originated from the Napa wine country I was even more curious about the food. The long line moved rather slowly, and I really had no clue of what was on the menu until I inched closer to the order window. The menu offered what can only be described as comfort foods to a fairly young crowd that had gathered at that spot taking part in a card game tournament inside the other pavilion building. I noticed things like hot dogs, burgers, turkey chili and French toast sticks among their more popular offerings. A Caesar salad was also offered as was a fried chicken sandwich that caught my eye. From watching the food come out of the truck I noticed not too many people ordered the chicken sandwich. Did these folks know something I didn’t? I took a chance and ordered it once I reached the window. The wait wasn’t too bad. My name was called and my sandwich was handed to me just a few minutes later. I went off to find a nice sitting spot to enjoy the sandwich( ). The batter was fairly thin but super crunchy. The chicken thigh meat inside was very hot and very juicy. The fresh slaw included inside the sandwich was barely noticeable, but the black pepper aioli definitely lent a second tier of flavor to the sandwich. The bun was a bit dry though. I wish I had a beer outside to wash it down with, but the free-flowing beer inside wasn’t quite accessible yet. This was a very good sandwich, and it served its purpose well by lining my stomach with some good food before the onslaught of holiday beers that followed. Thanks Mark’s!

Mark continues to knock it out of the park. As a regular fixture at our Farmer’s and Chef’s Markets, his ubiquity is my good fortune. The sliders are the«thing» there, and be it a breakfast slider with bacon or an «ooh-girl»(read: fried) chicken slider, they’re all great. I’m trying to think of a dish that came in below par but can’t do it. The burger, the chicken, the hot dog slider… they’re all tops. For bun-based sustenance sourced from a food truck you cannot fail. The wait can be a little bit long, and the man certainly does hustle, but if you can stand the line and don’t demand to be fed immediately then please stop by Marks the Spot.
