High prices, average quality and portions. Pleasant staff. Hot dog was 5.95 and does not even come with fries. Skip the calamari.

I should have checked Unilocal rather than assume that this dive is related to the wonderful Red Tock on Lincoln. It wasn’t until the food arrived that I realized they are trading on three name – but not the quality. The portions are large, but the quality is so poor, it doesn’t matter. Charred ribs and brisket with no smokey taste; a tasteless burger, and truly lousy fries. I had ordered garlic fries, thinking I was at the real RR, but what arrived were limp, tasteless, and sprinkled with burned chopped garlic. Inedible. And not very clean inside. As I said, my fault for assuming, although it is time they rename this place if they are so far apart in quality –and no business relationship, as the owner confirmed when I asked incredulously if they were related.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and it’s a very plain looking burger joint. There isn’t much around and it was early, so it wasn’t that full. We sat down and realized that the menu prices that I found online was outdated, everything has gone up in price, it isn’t expensive, but for what it is, I think there is better value. Now onto the food, the food is tasty, the fish sandwich I got had decent sizes of fried fish on it and the Tartar sauce is served on the side, which worked for me. The burger that my friend looks it had a good patty and the burger was cooked correctly. Overall, I think Squeeze Inn offers a better deal, but this isn’t a bad alternative, and for the extra dollar or two, you do get table service.

This would be my husbands favorite place to eat! He usually gets the tri tip or hamburger, which is always great. I’m tried a lot on the menu, calamari, burgers, garlic fries, onion rings, salads(you can build your own which I love), and most recently the turkey club, which was AMAZING. Everything is always so fresh and yummy! The server, Alex(I think…) was super nice and friendly to my husband and I and whenever we go in the owner(I think he’s the owner, older gentleman) is always friendly with us as well! I have never had anything I didn’t like here or any service that wasn’t amazing! Well done!(Ha, get it? :D)

I went in today to try the TriTip sandwich and I left severely disappointed. The TriTip was overcooked, chewy and dry. The TriTip is thinly sliced to a thickness of roast beef and while this does help it appear to be tender the tritip is not. The TriTip appeared as if it was heated on a griddle or it sat on the bottom of a warmer pan for far too long. If I hadn’t skipped breakfast and had not been working since 6am I would not have finished the sandwhich. Maybe it was good at one point as some of the past pictures show but the TriTip I got was nothing like the pictures. Other reviewers have pointed out the change in their slicing method and hopefully they will go back to what made it successful in the beginning

We went there for dinner, wanted something in the neighborhood where the locals eat and I found it. We had the fish and chips and the tri tip sandwich, both were delicious! Definitely recommend this place if you want something away from the flashy restaurants in Napa. The service was also great, very nice, very polite, made me want to tip 3 times more than it should have been. The price was also reasonable for Napa, I would have spent the same for one meal at any other restaurant. So if you want good comfort food go to this place, if you want flashy there are plenty of other places you can dine at.

First about the service. the owner and wait staff are friendly, prompt and always have a smile for you. Prices are very, very reasonable so no one should have a problem there, so far so good, NOW on to the food, it’s easy to say that the chicken is cooked so that the flavor is all the way through and the tri tip melts in your mouth, the baby back ribs are succulent, Couldn’t get enough of them even though all the portions are more than enough, so I did the only reasonable thing to do by ordering another tri tip and combo(chicken, ribs & tri tip) to go. lol. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants mouth watering BBQ with OR without all the fixings.

Very overpriced for what you get and the quality is mediocre unless of course you have their fish burger. that is excellent. My main gripe is that it is overpriced.

This place is a great place to eat. Burgers are good and hit. My favorite is the tri tip and rib take out after a long day. Sauce has a bite to it and I get extra for the fries. Place is not cheap. But, you an split a dinner. Check it out. It’s worth it

For years, Red Rock has been one of our go-to stops in Napa, but I think we’ve gone there for the last time after today. Several visits ago I noticed that they had started slicing the tri-tip very thin, like roast beef. They must use a meat slicer. I’ve never had tri-tip sliced like that. Usually it is sliced thin across the grain, but not as thin as they slice it at Red Rock. I’m not sure when they started doing that, but it wasn’t always done that way. it dries out easily. My husband order the tri-tip sandwich, wihch used to be our favorite. The meat was skimpy, dry, overcooked, and as i mentioned above, sliced weirdly. The thin French fries that came with it were OK, not great. I ordered the half barbecued chicken. The side salad was OK, the cole slaw was OK, but the chicken was hideously overcooked. The white meat was very dry, like rope. The dark meat wasn’t much better. I think it had been cooked a day earlier and re-heated. And it was just about the smallest chicken I’ve ever seen. There are lots of good restaurants in Napa, so i doubt if we’ll return to Red Rock. Sad.

What a great burger restaurant! We ended up in Napa the morning of the earthquake helping out some friends. We called Red Rock Burgers to see if they were open… SCORE! As we were walking in the owners ons had just cone from their mother’s house making sure everything was ok. RRB ad been open for bout seven minutes and every table was full and the phone was ringing with To Go Orders. Drinks took a bit but considering that there were probably 50 or so folks that sat down at once, everyone, staff and patrons understood and made sure that folks were getting served in the right order, and NOONE got upset. I ordered a Bacon, Bleu, and Grilled Onion Burger with some clams and I was TOLD that I HAD to order a cornbread muffin because it was super yummy! The food did NOT disappoint and the burger was huge! I ended up having to pull apart my burger to finish everything! Other orders included a Tri-Tip Sandwich and a Fish Burger, both were quite good! The tri-tip was a nice reddish color with a wonderful smokey taste! We also ordered a side of Sweet Potato fries and they were yummy as well! RRB became a community meeting place for many. There were lots of hugs and people came to each others tables making sure everyone was ok. I like the spirit of community that was quite obvious at this small restaurant. I will always support small business owners whenever possible. It was obvious that the family had suffered some sort of damage but the owner came in to take care of everyone else Good food, large portions, and a great community spirit!

We decided to have dinner here tonight after not coming to this location in over 2 years. Last time we were here we were highly disappointed. I enjoyed my burger with BBQ sauce and bacon on a nice sesame seed bun. The burger was cooked as I asked med well. My husband wasn’t as impressed as his mushroom swiss burger was a thinner patty which made the burger sloppy. I would pass on the onion rings next time, have had much better elsewhere. It is a bit pricey for 2 burgers an order of onion rings and fries and 1 soda it was $ 40! The shoestring fries though were perfect. I might try another place in town just because of the price.

Not good. This is not the real Red Rock, which is near downtown Napa on Lincoln Ave, and it shows. Not very clean and the food is blech at best. Take a miss.

This restaurant has huge portions, the meat was charred expertly, the ribs and tri tip were great. The salad was Huge… and very fresh. Garlic bread was delicious. In town full of fancy restaurants and wineries this was a welcome respite. Even the young servers were respectful and offered quick service

Really awful breakfast. My wife and kids left all but about three bites of disgusting scramble of meat covered by gelatinous gravy substance. Kids didn’t eat even a quarter of one rubbery pancake. We keep giving this place another chance, but no more. To be fair, staff was gracious and offered a partial refund. Not even real cream or half and half for weak coffee though. Don’t be fooled by the name. This is NOT the same as much better Red Rock on Lincoln.

I’ve been coming here for like 17 years and they’re food is ALWAYS hella good! me and my friends would walk down here just to order their fries when we we’re kids. BBQ bacon cheeseburger is my go to. the ONLY downfall is the prices. they keep going up. I used to be able to get that burger for less than $ 8 but now its $ 11+. I still pay for it cuz its so good but be prepared to spend around $ 15 a person.
