The food is good here, and the customer service is always excellent. This is my young daughter’s favorite restaurant because she loves their pepperoni pizza. We’re all so sad they sold this restaurant!

So sad Firewood closed with no advance notice. I love their salads and pizza! But at this point, I’m sad I didn’t inquire immediately as to what they were going to do with all the fire wood by the front door and outdoor patio! I hope someone’s enjoy many a nice night in front of the fire with that wood. I know there are other locations, but they’re not around here. Darn!

We were saddened to hear that one of our favorite restaurants was closing. It will be replaced by a restaurant that will be serving dishes fom South Africa and Asia. What the hell is that? We will not be going there. Dave

First time discovering the Firewood Café. The ordering format is like many pizzerias; however, waiting service will be provided as far as condiments and drink refills. You place your order, grab your utensils, then pick a seat. Tipping is recommended! Arrived here for a late lunch and ordered Italian Sausage Pizza, Seafood Linguine, salads, and fountain drinks. Salads were excellently made and fresh. Pizza crust was made thin providing a great balance of its toppings. The Seafood Linguine was my personal favorite. With the seafood medley stock, the gravy is a winner. Our cashier slash waiter provided excellent service. He seamlessly refilled our drinks and very polite. The service and food speaks for itself.

I love everything about Firewood Café! That’s why we keep coming back! The food and the staff are great. I’ve tried the pepperoni pizza & the the garden salad(which is soooo good). The salads are large enough to share with 2 – 3 people & you get to pick 3 fixings. We always get the walnuts because they are so yummy! Yeah, overall we love it here.

Gave it another shot as my previous review wasn’t great due to a non-food issue. Showed up for a late evening dinner. 1 Salad, 2 Pizzas(Chicken Pesto, Sausage). ½ Chicken with Honey Dijon sauce and roasted potatoes. The Pizzas were good. If we were rating just on the pizzas this would pull a 3.5−4 stars. Unfortunately, the other 2 items were lacking. Salad was nothing remarkable. Not bad, not great. Just Salad. The chicken was a failure. ½ chicken that was so dry it was laughable. Maybe it was the late evening 8:15…(I hope) as the chicken tasted as though it had been sitting the entire day in the oven. The Honey/Dijon sauce(fortunately asked for on the side) appeared to be a dish of honey. Way too sweat with no dijon. The potatoes were good, well seasoned, and tasty. Unfortunately, the chicken was too dry and the sauce too sweat… end result lousy entrée. I will say the service was better than our previous review. The server poured 4 glasses of water at the front counter. When I grabbed 2 of them and headed to the table she volunteered to bring the other 2 saving me a return trip. I don’t think I can justify another try when there are so many other viable restaurants in the Napa area.

A nice little place where the food is consistently tasty, the staff is another story. The food is really yummy, I can always count on the quality and that it will be hot. The salads are huge, and the pasta portions are a good size. I love their mac and cheese and sauteed brussel sprouts. Their service runs hot or cold. Some days the employees are happy and go out of their way to make sure that you have a good experience, on others they seemed bothered if you ask for butter for your bread.

This place is confusing. It has an uncomfortable atmosphere and is hit or miss. Occasionally they’ll do my salad right, in which case I love the portion size and fresh veggies

Probably the best value in Napa! Seems like a lot of local people come here to escape tourist prices. Great wood fired pizzas and pasta dishes. Bring your own wine, there’s no corkage fee!!! Nice.

I find this a very strange place. It’s really probably 2 stars but it’s a chain that’s aiming higher than most and I think that’s good. You order at the counter, which takes a good amount of time. The staff is fine but the customers always seem confused and you have to wait while they decide. If you charge, there’s a place for a tip. How much do you tip if you are standing in line? How do you tip before you are finished? It’s an awkward situation. Almost always you wait. It’s not fast. Last night there were lots and lots of people behind the counter and almost no customers yet it took forever to get the food. When it arrives, if you didn’t remember to grab your own cutlery, back you go. The food is better than average. The chicken we had was overcooked but the pastas are fine and the pizzas good. This seems to happen all the time, but once you are done and ready to go, someone comes and asks if you need something. It’s nice but it would have been nicer 20 minutes earlier when I was standing back at the register, waiting for a refill of water. My instincts are that the staff is under-trained and there’s no clear manager. The menu and concept are good but it would be much better with little effort. I like them enough to wish them well.

Food was ok, service very poor. Woman that helped us at the counter delivered the food then went off shift and we were totally ignored. No one asked if we needed refills. Very sad customer service

Whenever I feel for Italian food, this is one of my go to spots. The pasta is homemade and always delicious, The portion sizes are always more than enough and I always leave feeling satisfied and well taken care of.

Passed on the pizza and went to the roasted honey dijon chicken. Pretty tasty and hot out of the oven. I think they poured a lot of honey over the chicken before they served it. Came with roasted potatoes and a slice of French bread. Good portions because you get half a chicken. Nice place considering you order at the counter. We sat outside in the patio watching the game on TV. Nice.

Nice place. A little different for ordering and service is odd. The garlic bread is the bomb! Yum yum. The Caesar salad was delicious especially with the added walnuts and broccoli(my personal ads ons. Their pizza is really really good. But the pasta is not so at least the Alfredo is lacking.

I work very near this place and am basically a regular. They are always so kind and helpful and all around have great customer service! Enjoying one of my favorites right now– the Cream of Mushroom soup– and had to share! It’s better than most of the soups I’ve had at the downtown Napa restaurants and cost me $ 5. #win

I believe they cook the pizzas ahead of time before you get there so the service is fast. I sent mine back because it came to the table cold. Sorry. True. Flaky crust, yes. Just not pizza just out of the oven, which is kind of a big fail for a pizza place.

Really love their big salad where you pick your toppings and dressing. Their soups are always delicious and, when in season, you have GOT to order the brussels sprouts! If you’re an iced tea fan, just know that their regular iced tea is flavored… either that or a strong jasmine scented tea. Either way, if you’re expecting your basic iced tea, you’ll be surprised and either love it or hate it.
