Tacos Michoacan

Was a true Michoacan taco truck fan for years. Lately both the trucks and the restaurant have gone down hill in food quality and customer service. Not sure what changed. I went to the truck by Val’s Liquor and got mystery meat in my chicken tacos, extra spicy salsa even though I asked for mild, served with a large jalapeño cut in half, seeds and all when I asked for no jalapeños! WTF!

Pretty standard. Kinda weird seeing an older style kitchen setup with a tiny pass window and no view of the grill. The food I’ve gotten from their truck was better than the restaurant.

My biggest issue with this place is the poor customer service the girls at the register are not friendly at all! If they worked on that I’d give them 3 stars and would probably come back.

Marginal at best. Walked in and there was a paper bag taped to the door that said «cash only, machine down» But reading the reviews the machine has been down along time. Be honest, ok. If you can’t afford the credit card machine, say so. The place was slow at lunch time. Weird for a 4 star place. The tacos were ok, the spices overpowered the taste and I love spicy. The guacamole I ordered was runny and came without chips. Wish I had known this or we would not have eaten the tiny basket of chips they gave us with a minuscule dish of salsa. I have no idea where the 4 star review came from so I am leveling the playing field

I started going here because once, a spanish speaking care giver had gotten me a LOVELY carnitas salad at one of their local taco trucks. But each time I returned, I couldn’t get another decent salad!
Over a year later, I happened upon this restaurant and asked IF they were «The Mother Ship» for the taco truck I’d so enjoyed. Yes! They were! The gentleman with whom I spoke arranged for me to have another FABULOUS Carnitas salad there! And I asked if I could continue to come regularly for such a treat. To which he responded, «Yes!» «Si!»
So I started going regularly. But then began noticing they were routinely serving me hard, tough dried out almost burnt carnitas dreggs! And then about a month ago, there was an older grumpy looking asian woman taking my order and acting as if I was «a pain in the ass»! That made me feel most unwelcomed so decided to try another Mex Rest. I’d passed elsewhere which had a beautiful garden patio and joyous and kind service!
This is the second time a «Grumpy Asian restaurant employee» has driven me out of a shop! Is it that a confluence of grumpy Asian women cannot find any other kind of employment so that they can succeed in driving customers away or what?! I’m continuing to pray for the Happiness of «grumpy asian women»!
I’m sorry to have to leave Michoacan!

Fucking horrible i just left here with a #4 shit was cold rice and beans look like they sat in the to go tray and just reheated the cheese enchilada was cold cheese wasnt even melted, this is not the first time this has happened either. I had ordered the chile relleno plate to go same thing reheated rice and beans in the Styrofoam chile relleno was cold af. This place sucks and will never see another dime from me.

Nice. I visited Napa during a musical event and decided on this local eatery.
Order cosido:
Beef stew. This version has a near transparent broth full of flavor. The bowl I ordered was full of beef and vegetables. The veggies are still firm and not cooked. Tortilla with meal: Flour. Tasted fresh and warm. They really knocked it out of the park

Poor customer service. They don’t take debit/​credit cards, and don’t have enough cash to give you change.

Everytime we come thru Napa, we MUST stop here. The tacos are some of the best that we can ever find. The Al Pastor is amazing. The carne Asada is fantastic. The fish tacos are so delicious. Beef tongue and beef back are great. And each taco is barely over $ 2. You can’t find a better deal anywhere. The first time that we came to Napa, we stayed at the Westin (about 0.5 mi) away and ate here 3 times during the trip. If you like Mexican food and are adventurous in the food you try, I’d definitely make a stop.

One of the best Mexican food places in Napa the food is always good. Everything is fresh. Everyone that work’s at the restaurant and taco trucks are so nice. Best tacos!!! Burritos are so delicious rice is always moist. Best chili rellanos if you like real Mexican food you will love this place.

Best place to eat real home made food, just like mom and grandma make. Stop by Amy location and its, the same.

Fiat time i go in There! Ride Cashier i ordered a súper burrito and two tacos two cokes 19 dollars, I cannot believe I practically had to beg for a salsa. I ate the tacos there, brought the burrito home I ask so what about chips and Salsa? Do come with it or how does it work? And the girl that made the burrito asked the cashier, do you want to give her chips and salsa? What burrito dont they give you at least Salsa. I just to her it’s fine because I saw how rudely the cashier got mad for asking to her to give me chips and Salsa. I should have stopped at Taqueria Maria instead, wanted to try something new. My burrito (super) was beans rice and meat silantro and onion. To me that’s a regular!

The Huz and I came here for the first time tonight since moving up here in March and I don’t m ow why we waited so long to try this place! Huz had the carnitas burrito and I had 4 carne asada tacos.
Burrito: ¹⁰⁄₁₀ delicious! He let me have a bite and OMG the carnitas are the best I’ve had in a while. So flavorful! And the price for the burrito was even better considering it was HUGE.
Tacos: ¹⁰⁄₁₀! I would have opted out of the salsa had I known it would come on the tacos already… but that didn’t take away from the experience! The salsa was good, flavorful, not too spicy.
Only downfall is that it’s cash only, but there’s an atm machine next door at the liquor store.
Food was ready in minutes, and we were more than pleased!
We found our New Mexican food spot. Moving up here from SoCal had been hard because the Mexican food was soooo bomb down there. But we were more than happy finding this gem!

Wow…$ 2 tacos. I had beef tongue, beef cheek and a carne asada. So good. Service was friendly and fast. They have one picnic table on site. Not too much parking. Very good for nearly perfectly authentic Mexican food. I WILL be back.

We had an unbelievable party thanks to the Tacos Michoacan truck pulling up and dishing up some authentic delicious Mexican food… filled everyone’s belly and surpassed the expectations of our guest & eased the expectations/​work for us as hosts… the entire neighborhood loved the idea. Our sons 18^th Birthday and Graduation Party was amazing.

Portions are great and meat is always on point. Too bad they charge extra for their green sauce but I can’t complain. It’s yummylicious

Tried it. Not coming back. Average food, average service and the inexcusable bad chips and salsa. I am surprised this place even remains opens… must be the fact the restaurant is located in a dumpy strip mall so their lease is a nickel.

I tried this restaurant because a friend recommended it. The staff taking my order was definitely not going to help or suggest anything. Maybe she had been there since 7am and was tired? She wasn’t rude, just flat.
I saw chips & salsa and expected to be served them once I was seated. It wasn’t until I sat down and was mesmerized by the 8 – 10 people who had walked in behind me that I saw the sign: chips & salsa $ 2.
My food arrived, beans and rice, bland, absolutely no taste. Tacos Pastor were fair at best, but so tiny. I thought for a minute I had a child’s plate or perhaps I was in France?!
Now, they did have a steady flow of people coming in, so many are fans apparently. Edible meal however, no burning desire to return.

So the last few times i’ve been here i was very indifferent. But today, GOSH. Let me tell you! I love the fact that they have beef back (Saudero), that’s the only reason why I come here. but today was just ridiculous.
I ordered the Saudero super burrito and 2 al pastor tacos. The only thing super about my burrito is that it was SUPER DRY. It was the hardest burrito I had to ever force myself to ingest in my life. Not even halfway through my jaw was tired from chewing and honestly I just couldn’t eat anymore. It was the worst burrito I had ever had the pleasure of eating. How can a super burrito (which is suppose to be moist from the guach and sour cream) be THAT dry. Oh yea, the tacos were dry too but at least me drenching it in hot sauce helped a smudge. But honestly there was no way you could ever save that burrito.
Now you wonder there must be something wrong with me because how can taqueria food be dry right? Well, here’s why: OLD MEAT THAT HAS BEEN REHEATED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. The meat was so hard and chewy it could’ve been classified as jerky. UGHH. point is I’m searching for a new place and never returning, sorry.
