We wish we had found this place sooner! Always great food and a huge menu! Tried their Mexican, Asian, and American flair, each time they out-do themselves. Juan is a wonderful Chef! Can’t ask for better prices! Their hot cocoa is to die for! Each server has been professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable yet the presentation of the food couldn’t be more beautiful. They absolutely take pride in each bite they serve!

We wanted Mexican food at 8pm and seems all Mex restos are closing at 9pm around the Napa vicinity. This place wasn’t even my original choice but we ended up here. Because it was rated high, we decided to check it out and glad we did. When we initially pulled in, the outside lights weren’t on so it somewhat looked sketchy. But as soon as we went in, I knew it was gonna be authentic Mexican food. This family run restaurant is very welcoming. The gentleman that greeted us at the door also ended up serving us. He was genuinely cool and was attentive the whole time. I should’ve grabbed his name — but thank you! I had the tortilla soup — tasted like it had chicken broth and it wasn’t what I was used to — but I enjoyed it. Horchata was fresh and not too much cinnamon, Just right. And I had a carne asada burrito. Soo good I taste buds are getting goose bumps lol. I am definitely coming back to this place if I’m around the area so with that, it’s also a definite recommendation.

as I stated in previous review for this place the food is amazing! Always a treat when visiting my mother in law, we come here almost every time we are in Napa, today had the chicken tamales were awesome! Usually my go to is the carnitas, but the las time I had them they didn’t agree with my stomach, so I’ve been switching it up every time I go, Haven’t tried the mole yet, perhaps next time! The guy that takes our order is very polite! Never had any issues with the service here, nice servers and love the atmosphere!

This place is a little out of the way, and their outdoor signage is almost completely obscured by trees. But once your find it, you’ll be happy to see the prices are great! I typically get the Las Palmas Burrito which comes with everything on it(cheese, guacamole, sour cream inside, plus salsa on top) and is enough for two meals. That runs about $ 8. A regular burrito(the kind you can eat with your hands) is about $ 6. They have all the typical meat options plus rotisserie chicken(which is chunks of chicken breast, similar to pollo verde minus the green salsa). They have a massive menu that includes«Asian flair» and burgers, neither of which I am motivated to try at what is clearly a Mexican restaurant. I do see people eating burgers there fair regularly, but I’ve never seen someone eating their chow mein. We’ve been maybe a dozen times and always had attentive customer service, maybe even a little too attentive. Usually, there’s a soccer game on the big TV which is fun.

I ordered the carne asada plate with rice beans and tortillas. My food was really good. Others in my party ordered seafood and the shrimp was poorly cooked and sauces were not good. Stick to something simple. Good customer service. Took a while to get our beers. Overall okay atmosphere and slow for a Friday at 6 pm.

We really love Las Palmas, it has become our once a week spot. My husband swears it’s just like his mothers cooking. My favorite there thus far has been the crab Cesar Salad… amazing, it is enough for two meals! They also make home-made desserts, always a treat!

We are locals. First time at Las Palmas. Chips and salsa good. Friendly staff. Margaritas not strong but good. My wife ordered a shrimp taco and pear salad and they were very good. I had the chili relleno plato and it was excellent. The batter on the relleno was omelette-like, not bready, which I liked. Great whole pinto beans, so much flavor and perfect texture. We will be back for sure.

Took my stepdaughter here for an early lunch. I love this neighborhood gem! It’s tucked away in a cubby, and the food is always amazing. She had never been here before, so I ordered a few appetizers and we shared the Cucaracha Shrimp Platter. Many may not know, Las Palmas serves amazing Asian flare food. The Black and Blue Ahi is decadent, not to mention the Calamari! We sat on the patio which is small, but draped in beautiful Bougainvillea! If you want great food, service and atmosphere this is the place!

BADCUSTOMERSERVICE! After the incident with the unauthorized substitutions on my burrito, I called and they told me that the next time I was in they would give me a complementary burrito to make up for the mix up. I’m always willing to give some place a another try, especially since it was very good the first time. However, the owner saw my review on Unilocal and when I went in, he refused to honor the agreement to replace the burrito that they messed up. The owner told me that he doesn’t care that I called and spoke to someone there because they weren’t authorized to promise me a replacement, and that I should have brought that burrito back in to the restaurant that day, even though I was already back at work across town. I explained that I had no way of knowing that the person who answered the phone couldn’t authorize a correction for THEIRERROR. He didn’t care. The owner was very rude. I finally asked if it was worth losing me as a customer, since I live in the neighborhood. He told me the only way I was going to get a burrito was if I paid for it and repeatedly mentioned my Unilocal review. So I left with no food and a bad taste in my mouth. I told several of my friends who I know like the place too, they won’t be patronizing Las Palmas anymore either.

My family and I went to Las Palmas in Friday and were pleasantly surprised! Our waiter immediately offered us a high chair and even brought out a small spoon for our daughter! We didn’t even have to ask! Chips and Salsa good, Calamari excellent(appreciated the spice), Tacos nice and fresh but I could have used more heat/spice in the sauces. We went in early before the dinner crowd showed up so we were getting good speedy service. Crown started and we could see our waiter got super busy and took a while to give us our check and were sitting ducks when he didn’t come back for our c/c payment. Unclear to new comers if one is to pay at the desk?(We did). Overall pretty good experience, we will be back!

On a Wednesday afternoon, Las Palmas welcomed a continual stream of locals and visitors with warm smiles, freshly made tortilla chips, and a rich menu. We happily devoured four delicious dishes, from appetizers to dessert: Calamari Seared ahi tuna Scallops & shrimp Fried banana with ice cream We highly recommend this family owned restaurant as a top option in Napa. Enjoy! Eden and Mariella were here

This is a little hole in the wall that not only will surprise you with the interior décor, but with the fantastic dishes offered. My girlfriend had the flautas with rice and beans. I had the shrimp cocktail. Both were delicious. What struck us funny was the amount of people that continued to walk in. By the time we left, the place was packed inside with the patio starting to fill up also. The food is great and we will definitely come here again.

I really wanted to like this place. The outdoor seating under a pretty arbor that was shielded from heavy breezes was so nice. Beyond that, it was pretty bad. The outdoor tables had no condiment settings. No hot sauces, nothing. The chips they brought you were in a very tiny little wooden salad bowl(about 15 – 20 chips at best) along with a side of ‘salsa’ which tasted like it was made with canned tomato sauce as a base(my dinner partner thought maybe ketchup) then cut up fresh tomatoes, a little onion, and some spices were added in order to call it salsa. Definitely not good. On top of that, if you want a second tiny bowl of chips and some additional salsa that will be $ 1.00 each round as long as your total bill aside from chips is $ 5.00 or more. Otherwise it’s significantly more. While I understand the cost to the establishment in providing the typical free appetizers that you normally receive at restaurants such as bread or chips, this odd limitation and the providing of such small amounts just makes the experience rather odd. When our food arrived it was a bit problematic in that they included something they shouldn’t have on one plate and didn’t include it on the other. Not a big deal, these things happen. The waiter asked if the person who got the extra item wanted him to take it back to the kitchen. We said that wasn’t necessary and went ahead and kept the plate. However, the person who had wanted the item in the first place wasn’t offered to receive it, but had to ask for a side. The kicker to this is that when the bill arrived the item that the person received in error was charged for it. I imagine because he said he’d keep it rather than sending it back? As for the food, that was definitely not good at all. We had a pear salad to start, and ordered chicken soft tacos, rice and whole pinto beans for our entrees. They don’t have a taco plate per say, so each item was ala carte. The prices are good, but the food just isn’t at all. The salad itself was overpriced. It was a rather small salad with some sliced pears, some blue cheese, a slight bit of dressing and some lettuce. Sounds like a normal salad, but for nearly $ 8.00 it was no bigger than a small cereal bowl of salad I make for myself at home with far less finesse. The chicken in the tacos tasted a bit off. Almost like it was cooked without seasoning and left to sit awhile. The beans were overly dry and tasted flavorless. The mexican rice had zero flavor. We tried putting the salsa on things to make it better, but since the salsa wasn’t good in the first place it didn’t do anything to raise the bar. The service was ok, not great but average. We had to request refills for drinks after waiting for awhile rather than having waitstaff notice, but beyond that it was relatively smooth. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unfortunately, and I won’t be patronizing again. There are many other really delish Mexican eateries in Napa to enjoy. P. s. You can get Asian food here, too… ‘Nuff said. P. p. s. Try Rancho Grande in Napa(I posted a review). It’s really delicious if you’re looking for some authentic, flavorful Mexican food.

I give 2 stars to this business out of courtesy for the one other experience I had here a few months ago while dining in. And it was generally a decent experience. Unfortunately, tonight I went to get a to-go order. It was busy as any Friday night should be, but I thought that tortilla soup and 2 tacos shouldn’t take too long. I was wrong, it took 45 minutes from the time I handed my $ over until I got the order. I had been standing the entire time and watched while people were seated, ordered and elaborate plates of food were served during my wait. It seems they forgot about my order. So I left with my order finally and all the way home to discover that the order was missing the Tacos. I drove all the way back and explained that it wasn’t very good business to make someone wait this long for a small simple order AND also leave out half the order that was paid for. And asked the acting manager what I should get for my trouble. She said she could bring me the tacos or give me a refund, that’s it. And, no apology at all, not even a smile! I hate to break this to you Las Palmas of Napa, but your fired, and you lost a good customer!

I do not recommend the mexican food here. The beans were luke warm and very very dry. The mexican rice had ZERO flavor and tasted like white rice. The Salsa tasted like it was from a can and the chips tasted like they were from a bag. Very disappointing…

Today I wanted to try a new place for lunch so I got on Unilocal!Unilocal always directs me to great finds! I have driven by this place several times and never realized it was here! Options to sit outside in the patio, at the bar, or a variety of tables inside. I was welcomed by Juan, my server! He was a delight! He made many suggestions to help me select my lunch. Let me tell you it was so hard to decide! To my surprise, they didn’t just have Mexican food. They have a variety of food. Additional menu items are written on the board in addition to the traditional Mexican food! Guess what?! For you breakfast lovers, it is served all day! And for you beer lovers, nothing on tap but a variety of beers are available. Great surprise with a sweet salsa for my chips and a smokey salsa for my fajitas! Juan was great at pointing out the different flavors of the salsa along with the intensity of heat. I will definitely be back! I heard from some of the other patrons that the Crazy Lady Salad was the best filled with everything but the kitchen sink! If you are in town, come check out this local family eatery. You won’t be disappointed.

A+ Service, Taste, and Price This restaurant is the spot. My friend showed me this place on our lunch and ever since I’ve been hooked! The girl at the register is always so nice and the chefs are always so friendly. I like the vibe I get from this restaurant. My favorite dish is the chicken won tons served with fries and dragonfly sweet chili sauce. The own tons are always crispy, ht and crafted. Fries are crisp and golden. Not to mention that they always give you such a generous portion of food for a very reasonable price. The plate is $ 5.95 and it goes well with a $.99 Tall Arizona I’ve tea can. Most importantly, they have really good customer service and seem to have intentions to build relationships with their customers, and not just to build dollar signs. I would give them more stars if possible, I’m always satisfied every time I go! Keep it up Las Palmas
