Can anyone help me connect with the owner? She closed up shop and hasn’t paid me for items she sold of mine. I cannot reach Amy Campbell by email or by phone.

I’ve been bringing my items in with the previous owner as well as the new. Yes, il admit I was skeptical, when they changed owners only because I was so happy with the way they took my items, assessed their value and followed thru with a check by mail. This was a normal pattern. Season over, a check came. I am pleased to say, nothing has changed, the service was great, my items sold, and a check was mailed out, in a timely fashion. They have a great selection of items and I will continue to shop and sell at Campbell Hill.

Just browsing to find some Fall inspirations for my work wardrobe and Dru and Janet were so patient and supportive. They took time to match my color palette and style to body type. This was not a shopping trip, it was an experience. I left, within budget, and with next steps and ideas to put a whole look together. I’ve been shopping in this store several times and it’s always an opportunity to achieve a high quality and classy appearance. These are women who really care about their clientele — unusual in most retail locations. We even took pics of what to look for whenever I’m out shopping. Stop in and experience this place — they can help create a whole new vision for you! Thanks, ladies, for your genuineness and enthusiasm !!! Sheila

Avoid. Used to be a good place to pick up last seasons clothes. Last time I went in it was dirty(dusty, floors not swept), messy(clothes hanging off of hangers, shoes out on the floor) and guy behind the counter was online and not interested. Did the management or ownership change?

Every since the original partnership dissolved and Anna is gone, this place has suffered. There are still great finds but the shopping experience(for me, at least) has gone a bit down hill. Too bad because this was once my favorite resale shop in the burbs. Unless I’m in the area it’s not worth if for me to make Campbell Hill a destination.

Shopping here was a great experience(see my previous review), so I decided to try consigning some items with Campbell Hill. I brought in two items, and Amy was very friendly and knowledgeable. We agreed upon prices, she provided me with a copy of the consignment«rules,» and I went on my way. I did e-mail her a few times about the status of my items, which she said was OK to do, and I received timely responses. However, when the first item sold, I had to request the check. When my second item sold, I had to request the check. On 8/22, I received an e-mail, «it sold! I will get you a check.» On 9/10, I e-mailed Amy to let her know I hadn’t received anything. Later that evening, I received an email telling me she cuts checks every two weeks, and I was in «Friday’s» group. Friday was two days later, 9⁄12. Doing the math now, my check probably should have been cut either 8⁄26 or 9/7, depending on the cycle. Cutting the check on 9⁄12 was a sign that I was overlooked. On 9/30, I e-mailed Amy again to let her know I hadn’t received anything. I received no response. On 10/2, I re-sent the e-mail asking where my check was. I understand that«things happen» especially when you run a small business, so I tried to be patient and understanding. Later that day, I received an e-mail with my settlement report and informing me that Chase bank would send me a check within the next 5 – 8 days. I was surprised when I received my check in the mail today, 10⁄9. If I hadn’t been proactive, I doubt that I would not have EVER been notified that my items sold, let alone received any payment. If you are still tempted to consign here, I highly suggest that you stay informed of the status of your items — don’t forget about them! Shopping here is still a five star experience, but without consignment, they are nothing.

DONOT sell your items here. you will A: get ripped off. B: never see your money from selling your items, and last but not least C: get treated with rude and unprofessional behavior. save yourself the trouble and put your items on ebay/craigslist instead.

Loooooove!!! I have been to this store three times now and have always managed to find something to buy. In addition, the staff are always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. In my opinion, they have a wide variety of clothing for all ages… you just have to be willing to look, like any consignment store, not everything will be something for you. I have purchased sweaters, tops, jewelry, and shoes from here. All the items have been in great condition and I thought fairly priced(ie– a 100% silk blouse from Ann Taylor for $ 15 or a Burberry trench for $ 135!!). I’m really glad I found this store and will definitely be going back for a fourth visit… soon!

Jimmy Choos. Timeless, right? Wrong. You know how I know? Because I saw a few pairs here and they were lookin’ ROUGH. Like, whoa. But they were only like $ 65, which apparently is like $ 500 off of what they would have gone for back in their heyday. Jimmy Choo isn’t really my style, but even so, I’d rather have a pair of similar looking new-knock off shoes that’d probably cost me the same, than the beat up ones with the fancy label that someone else’s feet sweat in. Their clothing selection actually had a pretty good range to it and was organized immaculately. Pricing was still pretty high for casual items, some stuff wasn’t even all that high-end, but quite a few things still had tags on them and they had some nice dresses and a great accessory section. The style of clothing was mostly older, borderline mother-of-the-bride, but I’m sure a really crafty hipster could really make something of it.

One of the benefits of living in Naperville, with a ton of rich people, is that those rich people someday part with their little– or never-used fashions. Thank goodness for me! I needed a cute everyday bag/tote, and this store delivered! The woman working here was super friendly and helped me find exactly what I wanted. If I had more time, I definitely would have perused the large selection of clothes and shoes… although my wallet is probably glad I only had time for a handbag. The shop is tucked behind the building that the Barnes & Noble is in, so it might be easy to miss. Walk down the alley between the B&N and the optician, and Campbell Hill will be on the left after the olive oil shop.
