I haven’t gotten my glasses yet… But in the meantime, I found Dr Black to be very friendly and informative. The exam was as expected for an eye exam. He was very prompt.
The office is conveniently located in downtown Naperville a short walk from the garage or street parking. It’s bright, cheery and clean.
His office staff was friendly and helpful.
They have an exceptional selection of designer frames to choose from. Almost to to point of being overwhelming.
I would certainly recommend.

This is a great place. I took a chance on this place as I felt a new doctor was necessary after a so-​so experience with a previous facility last year. Dr. Black was very thorough with his exam and explanation of my eyes. He felt that my current glasses were too small for my frame and that’s a big knock on my previous eye doctor because they had no opinion about my choice of glasses. They also had me take a slew of exams that turned out to be unnecessary. Tracy, who is an absolute gem, helped me pick out glasses that not only fit me well but looked stylish. She was very honest in her opinions, which I appreciate. This place isn’t cheap, but honestly, when it comes to your eyes, do you really want to go cheap? You truly get what you pay for and I’d gladly apply that here in a great way. Terrific!

I visited Couture Vision for an overdue eye exam. The staff was absolutely friendly and they really gave their honest opinion on frames and how they looked on me. That is exactly what I needed, because I’ve gone to plenty of places where they just pick out any frame (usually the most expensive) and tell me it looks good on me when clearly it does not. Dr. Black was super friendly as well and did a thorough examination. I would definitely recommend Couture Vision!

Got my exam, glasses and contacts from Couture Vision (great location downtown Naperville). Dr. Black was very thorough and spent a fair amount of time for the exam. far more than my last Optometrist. The staff was extremely friendly and very accomodating. Rebecca was especially great along with Tracey in fitting me with my new Gucci frames… very tasteful and not flashy ;-) The place is super convenient with the Parking Garage behind the store and the selection was very good! Great high end frames but also some very reasonably priced ones. Highly recommend!

The staff at Dr Black’s practice is warm, friendly, helpful and just a wonderful group to engage with. Dr Black himself is exceptionally thorough and provides as mush information regrading eye care as you could want. Open, affable, and dare I say it… fun! Myself, my wife and sonall got glassess from Couture. A true gem in the heart of downtown Naperville. Go, Doc Black and Crew!!!

I found this business on Unilocal.I had no prior knowledge of this great business, but took a chance and fell in love with the layout of the store, Dr. Black himself, and his amazing and fabulous staff! Rebecca and Tracy helped me pick out 2 pairs of bold and gorgeous frames! My visit with Dr. Black was through and warm! I felt he really was interested in MY eyes!!! My ordered glasses came in within 4 days!!! Tracy helped me to get them to fit my face, perfectly! I love this business and you will too! Amazing group of caring professionals!!!

We visited Couture after our family had been serviced for years by a big box outfit and several smaller shops in Naperville. My daughter wanted more style if she was going to have to pay a portion. I was not optimistic because of the downtown Naperville Location, I thought price would be an issue. What we found was a «bedside manner» unlike any I had experienced in the last 10 years. We found a warm, delightful staff. Dr Black was not satisfied until we were satisfied. His exam shared some very important things that I was not aware of. Oh yes, the Prices and Styles were VERY COMPETITIVE! When our middle child came in for the Christmas holidays, we referred him to Couture and he too was delighted. We could not ask for more… They care, They are friendly, They are competent, They work with us with patience and expertise. Great outfit, Very nice selection of frames & styles, and I am grateful for my daughter’s search!

I have to agree with others here. Dr. Black is personable and professional. He took a lot of time with me and I got a through exam. He answered all my questions. They were having some computer problems when I was there but I’m sure they will get those worked out. This place isn’t cheap but then I feel you get what you pay for. This place is so… much better than the large «burn-​em-​and-​turn-​em» place I went to the last time I needed glasses.

Dr. Black is professional, friendly and informative. The staff is also helpful in picking out the best frames for you, answering questions and scheduling appointments. I had to find a new eye doctor after moving to the area and the first place I went too was a large office and a big disappointment. I am so glad I decided to look elsewhere because I found Dr. Blacks office. The location is prime, I like that I can park in the parking garage and walk right in and the overall feeling is homey and comfortable. I also commend Dr. Black on his dedication to his clients working extended hours to make sure everyone can fit a visit into their busy schedules. Highly recommend Couture Vision!

I loved the fact that Dr. Black did every aspect of the exam – from checking for colorblindness, glaucoma, etc., to diagnosing what my prescription should be. He had my contacts in stock and, HEY!!! I can SEE!!!

I found him. I saw Dr. Black when he practiced downtown at one of those chain stores. He was cool, but the frames selection sucked (as do at most of those chain stores – all the frames are always picked over…). This place now has the best of both worlds!!!
