Cheryl’s Candy N’ Popcorn

Very kind and courteous owners. John will make you feel very welcome and loves to offer samples of the many many popcorn flavored they have. The chocolates are very good, I much more prefer very dark chocolate (90%+), which was not as common, however the truffles and clusters I grabbed were more than satisfying. The place makes you feel like a kid with tons of choices of just about anything you can want. Worth giving a visit if you have a sweet tooth.

Today is our 3^rd visit to Cheryl’s but each time it feels like we’re visiting family. There’s so much to choice from and the owners are great!!! Each time I try something different and I still have lots to go. The truffles are the best I have ever tasted. I love this place!!!

My husband stopped there and surprised me with some giant gummy colas and some pumpkin pie flavored popcorn — and — OMG!!! That popcorn was AMAZING!!! It didn’t last more than 5 minutes in the house before it was all gone! Definitely going back for some more! Yum!

They’ve been here 2 years and I’m just now finding this place? If i had a nickel for everytime I’ve driven past here the past 2 years, i could shop here once a week for the next 3 months. Certainly a great spot to pick up treats for gifts too. A lot of old fashion candy, which brings back memories of simpler days. Great tasting popcorn, but the chocolate covered bacon didn’t survive the ride home. The dark chocolate almond bark went directly into my freezer. They graciously offered 25% off popcorn today for their anniversary, glad I found this hidden gem.

I visited Cheryl’s Candy N’ Popcorn for the first time a few days ago. We had just moved to the area a few months prior, and my kids had been begging to go.
Let me just start off by saying the smell when you walk in the door is amazing. It made my mouth water. We were greeted right away by Cheryl, who was incredibly friendly. I told her it was my first time inside the store, and she was incredibly welcoming and quite helpful. When she saw my kids, she ran into the back and got some strips of candy buttons (remember those!) for them, free of charge. She then proceeded to fill up tiny plastic cups of popcorn to sample. She must have had me try about ten different flavors! By the way, they were all amazing.
I went in there hoping to get the Chicago Mix popcorn — cheddar cheese and caramel. The cheese popcorn was thick and rich with flavor, and the caramel popcorn was nice and sweet without overdoing it. They also have their own special type of mix, where they first make cheddar popcorn and then smother it in the caramel sauce. That was good too, but I ended up going with the mixed, original version. I got a large bag of that, because it was excellent.
My youngest loved the bacon cheddar popcorn — which is rich with cheese, and has a slight hint of bacon. Of course I bought it, because who doesn’t love bacon? I also ended up getting a snack size bag of the sea salt caramel pretzel, which is now my new favorite flavor of popcorn ever. It’s caramel popcorn with sea salt, caramel pretzels, and a drizzle of chocolate over everything. I also ended up getting a snack size of the caramel pecan popcorn for my mother, because she absolutely loved the sweet caramel pecans inside.
We also ended up getting a few other regular candies (a box of milk duds, some rock candy, etc). With four bags of popcorn, two boxes of candy, two pieces of rock candy, and that one jelly bean game (you spin the wheel, and maybe you eat a lime jelly bean, or maybe it tastes like grass), our total was around $ 40. Definitely worth it.
I will be going back there regularly — the popcorn is amazing, and there is such a huge variety of flavors. I tried a S’Mores one that was to die for, but didn’t want to overdo it on the popcorn my first visit. There’s a Zebra one, and a fruity one, and an apple pie one. I could go on and on. It’s also a lot of fun to see the candies I had as a kid — like candy cigarettes, rock candy, etc.
I could keep talking about how incredible this store is, but you really need to see it for yourself.

Upon entering my dentist’s office building for the first time, I noticed this tantalizing smell of popcorn engulfing my sense of smell. Cheryl’s candy and popcorn store is is conveniently located beneath my dentist’s office.
Oh the irony. After my dentist appointment, I just couldn’t help myself, I needed to relieve my dentist trip anxiety. What’s a better way to de-​stress, then by eating candy & popcorn lol!
The décor in this place is by far my favorite; it makes me feel like a I’m in a mini Wonka land; cartoon world.
I purchased a box of their in house candy, package candy, and popcorn, for m. Little cousins and family, about $ 70 dollars to be exact.
I love having the choice as a consumer, on how I can spend my money, & where i decide to spend it. I’m always more willing to support a local business, in the community, than a large corporation.
With such a large purchase on just candy, & popcorn for my family, friends & I to enjoy. I also had my younger cousins tell me this place has great popcorn & candy. So I really had high hopes that this local business would exceed my expectations.
While I was there Cheryl & John were both extremely friendly to me. Others have said Cheryl isn’t friendly. I disagree with them. in my experience she was equally as nice. John just seems more extroverted than she is. John helped other patrons, while Cheryl helped me with my «excessively» large order.
At the store I had purchased 1 Bosco candy bar, 1 toffifee bar, 3 happy bday prepackaged M&’ toped fudge brownie cupcakes. They were terribly old, the expiration dates on the manufacturer can’t bars well passed their date. Not acceptable to be selling merchandise from a year ago.
Also Cheryl, doesn’t wear gloves, when handling chocolate removal from their case to placement in their cute pink to go boxes
I’m an extremely indecisive person, I couldn’t pick between 3 popcorn flavors. Cheryl was kind of enough to sample the bags for me for free! Overall Good experience with service while I was there .
Just not till I came home & saw the candy bars were over a year old, & my excited little cousin’s could eat the candy they were looking forward too :/

A truly excellent spot for fresh gourmet popcorn and confectioneries. I dare any reader to compare Cheryl’s popcorn against other gourmet popcorn makers — you will not be disappointed! Also unique is the wide array of candies that used to be commonplace but now are hard to find. For the record, don’t skip their cheese popcorn!

My daughter yells «popcorn» as we drive by this place. My hubby was thrilled to find out they have Abdallah’s Chocolate — this is the brand of choice for his family and we are thrilled to get to share it with our toddler.

This store is amazing! They have so many different flavors of popcorn that are absolutely delicious. When you walk inside its like candy heaven. Very colorful and fun place to go. The owners are extremely friendly and offer lots of free samples. Best popcorn and candy around.

This store has no advertisement and you pretty much have to be at a nearby place to know about it. I tried their popcorn and it was below average. The candy is expensive and the only decent thing is the chocolate dipped banana. However, I personally, do not believe the trip is worth it just for the banana. A lady (presumably the owner) was very rude at mumbled an answer out when I asked the question. A place like this has potential but for this store the skills just are lacking terribly.

We LOVE Cheryl’s Candy & Popcorn! They are amazing! They special ordered candy for my daughter’s bachelorette party and we made the cutest favors ever! My daughter is having a «candy bar» at her wedding reception and Cheryl’s is providing all of the candy for that, as well! The popcorn is the freshest around and better than anything you have ever tasted! Visit Cheryl’s and take a walk down memory lane with all of their nostalgic candy!

I visited Cheryl’s candy and popcorn after someone mentioned how good their popcorn was! When you walk in you are over whelmed (in a good way) by the different candies! Popcorn I can’t say enough about their flavors! Caramel my favorite cheesy popcorn banana crème. So many different flavors. Out does Garrett’s popcorn by far! Gave some flavors to taste to my sisters. they want me to make a visit for them! More banana crème please! I will for myself too!!! It’s worth going to Naperville and the owners Cheryl and John are so nice they make you feel so welcome!
