What a great store! The employee was friendly and greeted everyone even though she was busy. She saw what we were purchasing and told us of the special they had going on, saved us money! If you shop the specials, its affordable high quality chocolate for Christmas. I will definitely come back and tell people. Bring your child in with their report cards with A’s and get a free chocolate bar!

I walked in today, a Saturday, and the line was almost out the door! It made browsing nearly impossible in this tiny shop. Additionally, they were sold out of many items — both behind the counter and prepackaged goods on the shelf. I purchased a box of Trinidads for myself, but I left disappointed since I wasn’t able to purchase a half pound of peanut butter smoothies as a gift. I ended up at Macy’s, buying a box of Frango mints for half the price of Mint Meltaways. The employees were friendly and not at all frazzled by the busy afternoon. I’d recommend this place for gift giving for sure, but you’ve been warned on what could happen on a Saturday during the holidays.

Fannie May and Chicago, Chicago and Fannie May. We may have lost our Marshall Field’s and our Frango mints, even our Sears Tower, but we still have our Fannie May. Kinda. This location is nestled into the beautiful shopping complex anchored by Whole Foods and Nordstrom Rack, and is the perfect treat after a mighty meal of Meatheads(right next door). It boasts a full range of chocolates, as well as penny candy and Fannie May ice cream. Each time I visit, I’m offered a free sample and even free gift wrapping. The last time I stopped in, the confectioner and my father had a lovely discussion about jelly beans and the changing times. One thing I hope never changes: the dixies!
