STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
My Grandpa lived here for over 5 years, and I mean 5 years too long. The people living there are the only good thing about the place.
They boast about being the «best deal in town». Yes they are the best deal in town, because it is utter garbage. A lawsuit waiting to happen — junky bathrooms not fit for seniors at their best, hodge-​podge apartments. The Home Care company there — Who took care of my Gramps — Used them for one month, one of the worst mistakes of my life… Later found out on the DL that the owners of Independence Village owned this dumpy home-​health company too, no wonder it was such a disaster.
The owners live out of state somewhere, and they hire these, «Resident Managers», who are just as old as my Grandpa, yet far less competent. This makes it no surprise employee wise, that it is a revolving door. They good employees I did meet never lasted long. My Grandpa was always afraid to get to know any of the staff, because they were constantly quitting or being fired.
Options are out there people — Shop around!!!
