I was interested in getting a solar PV array installed on my roof. I scheduled a meeting with Interstate Sun to come out to my house and give me a quote. They twice had to reschedule the meeting, and eventually they said they were too busy to come out, so we just spoke over the phone. The guy that I spoke to over the phone was not well informed about the products he was selling(he gave me incorrect information about the solar panel dimensions and warranty, which I later looked up myself on the manufacturer’s website). I did not feel like I was speaking with an informed professional. When I did get a quote, it was quite high. He insisted that I would not be able to find a lower price, but in fact I had already gotten a quote that was a full 40% lower just a couple days prior. When I told him this, he got very defensive and told me that the other installer must not be including all of the costs in his quote. I had more questions that I wanted to ask, but he quickly ended the conversation, saying that he was very busy, and that I should call him back if I «ever get serious». So, in summary, their price was high and the salesman was rude and uninformed. Not a winning combination.
