The Springs At Monarch Landing

My mother has been at The Springs since May. She suffered a massive stroke and as a result, is not mobile and has limited communication. I did a great deal of research on skilled nursing communities. I chose The Springs largely because of its household model that promotes a feeling of it being a real home. I particularly like the universal worker concept for the staff. I’ve been very happy with the attention and care that my mother receives. She has a lovely room. The staff is always bouncing ideas past me on ways in which they might be able to best engage her. She’s a picky eater… the staff is extremely accommodating and whenever there’s nothing on the extensive menu that she likes, will make something special, just for her. Everyone knows and greets her by name. Because placing her in skilled nursing was very scary for me, I make sure that I snoop, eavesdrop, spy, pop in unexpectedly, and grill the other residents about their care. I am always reassured by what I see myself, or hear from others.

Beautiful, cozy facility just opened 11÷1÷14. Cozy living areas with see-​thru fireplaces and lovely kitchens/​dining area in each wing. Each patient room is a mini-​suite with large bedroom and full bath. Everyone is very friendly & bends over backwards to help patients
