J Alison Salon and Day Spa

I went here and was quoted one price 85.00 and told it cost 125.00 after the service was done. When I inquired «why did you quote me 85.00?» I was told sorry it’s 125.00.

I had a haircut and color touch up from Jonathan. I love it. Everyone at work talks about how great my hair looks. Even my husband, who never notices haircuts, loved it. Jonathan took my untamed mane of hair into a fashionable bob in no time!
The salon its self is very well laid out and clean. Clearly a great deal of thought was given to layout and décor and it shows.
I can’t recommend Jonathan enough.

For the price, it’s ok. I’ve definitely been to salons that charge way more and provide way less.

I got a mani and pedi from Diane (not sure of the spelling)! She is awesome. I used a groupon and getting an appointment was not problem at all. I did an upgrade to a No chip and surely it has not chipped yet after more than a week. That place looks nice and everyone seems friendly. I will sure try other services here.

I went about 8 months ago for a mani/​pedi and haven’t gone anywhere else since! I’ve fallen in love with the hair stylist Lena, and all of the staff is so friendly. I would definitely recommend this salon and ALL their services!

I’ve always had good service at J Alison Salon. I’m becoming a regular customer of Niyah, and me — and my mom — have both gotten our hair done by Irma as well. Good service. They always go above and beyond, doing little things to make my hair healthy and to make me more comfortable. It’s an actual relaxing atmosphere, not one of those loud salons with too much going on and all kinds of people in your face.

I had the same problem as the previous reviewer. This place is horrible! I got a mani/​pedi off Groupon and it looks like a 10 year old did it. The receptionists are so rude and unprofessional. I bought a Groupon for 2 mani/​pedi, the first time I went I waited about 45 mins before I even got started and then she took about 2 hours WASTED a whole Friday night in this salon. Had a 6pm appointment and didn’t leave until 9! Second time I could get a appointment so I just had to wait for a call then went. She did a horrible job… took off polish a day later. I will never go here ever again! Go somewhere else & forget the Groupon spend your money someplace worth it! I would NOT recommend J. Alison Day Spa and I will recommend to Groupon to stop doing business with this merchant.

I bought a groupon to this salon for 4 manicures and pedicures. It was almost impossible to get an appt. Since it was so difficult to get an appt, I attempted to make my last 2 appts at the same time but was told that I could not do that. I was told that too many people cancel so they would not allow me to make 2 appts.
I had an appt. on Sept 8^th but could not make my next appt since I did not have my work schedule. I called today, Sept 11 to make my next appt since the groupon expires on Oct 12 but was told all the appts from now until Oct 12^th are filled! When I explained that I could not make my next appt on Sept 8 because of the fact that I did not know my work schedule the receptionist said «Well thats not our fault»!!! They said they will call me if they have a cancellation.
I don’t know if I will be able to get my last appointment. I had 2 different technicians and they both did an OK job. However, I would never recommend this place because of the difficulty in getting an appointment and how rudely I was treated. I have lived in Naperville for 25 years and am active in the community and work at Edward hospital, I will tell everyone I know NOT to use this salon.

Beautiful place! Absolutely phenomenal service. Welcoming, clean, and serene! If you are looking for a great place to get your hair cut and for someone to actually listen to what you want, these ladies did the job!

I had an emergency and needed an appointment ASAP, June was amazing and got me in same day! Everyone was so friendly! The salon was very clean and carried great products. I had to get highlights put in and Irma did an absolutely amazing job! I can’t wait to go back!

Not necessary for me to repost what she has already said. She took the words right out of my mouth.
The only thing she didn’t say is that she is beautiful as well.

Oh I do have to mention that her music was really good and tasteful.
I hate to go into the salons where they play gospel music. What a turn off.
