First time shopping at this store and we found Kyle so very helpful. He is knowledgeable about the products and we found him very personable and friendly. We will be returning to this store and I will be sharing by experience with family and friends.

I’ve been to this store a number of times– and I have always been happy with the service received. Today I couldn’t remember the name of the type of steak that I wanted to purchase, but I had a photo on my phone of it. The young man working there looked at my photo and quickly recognized it as Omaha Steak’s Sirloin Supreme(my son’s favorite). He was very helpful in offering to help me select side items. He helped me complete my purchase and I was in and out of the store within 7 minutes– perfect!

When we received a shipment of Omaha Steaks products as a wedding gift, I was puzzled. Then, after returning from vacation, I was relieved I didn’t have to meal plan for at least two weeks. The pork chops from Omaha Steaks are better than any pork chop I’ve ever had. I even said before unwrapping these, «I’m not a pork chop person. I don’t really like them.» Months later, I purchased some at my grocery store(not Omaha), and it wasn’t the same. I like that you can cook the baked potatoes for 7 minutes in the microwave. However, the burgers and hot dogs are really something I wouldn’t have missed. Don’t waste your money on these. So, now realizing that Omaha Steaks is a pretty solid gift choice, it finally dawned on me that this would be ideal for my dad. He’s that oddball on my Christmas list. He doesn’t wear ties or cologne, could care less about fashion or sports, and he isn’t into«fancy» restaurants. But he does like food, and he loves to grill. My parents are very budget-minded, so buying expensive meats isn’t their thing(although I’m sure my dad wishes it was). My dad’s idea of a good time is spending a Saturday afternoon at Woodman’s grocery store. Anyway, with all of that in mind, I thought Omaha Steaks would be a GREAT Christmas gift for him(yeah, sure, my mom will eat it too). I stopped in here on a Monday evening after work, and I was surprised to see two other customers in the store, as well as two employees. I began looking through a catalog, and was greeted and asked if I had any questions. I asked her vaguely about gift packages, and she handed me a second catalog that featured sales and more gift ideas. She was very helpful, flipping to the exact page with gift ideas. I was surprised at the prices. Yes, it is more expensive than your local grocery store, but it’s still a lot less than I imagined. I could get a REALLY nice package of burgers, potatoes, multiple steaks and pork chops for $ 60! I thanked her and went on my way. I’ll return in a few weeks to place an order.

Let me start by mentioning that I am a big fan of Omaha Steak brand products. This review is not of the products themselves, but the customer service experience I received at this particular store. I had previously shopped at the Omaha Steak Store in Wheaton, IL to purchase a surf & turf combo as a Valentine’s Day dinner surprise for my husband. When I went there, I was immediately greeted, asked if I had anything in particular I was looking for, and immediate assistance. Wheaton, IL… You guys have a formula that works, and I suggest you keep it up! As for Naperville, IL, I went in there for the first time just this afternoon. I was looking for a few specific items I saw on their website, and I understand that stores don’t always carry the same items that are on their sites, so I was ready to have someone knowledgable assist me with that when I arrived. Today happened to be their 95th Birthday celebration sale! So I was hoping to get the items I anticipated buying at a nice discounted price, and hoping to stock up on some other goodies because of the sale! Well, I walked in, wasn’t greeted, there was a woman by the name of Melody walking around helping the other customers, and not so much as a glance in my direction.(I understand it was probably busier than usual because of the sale going on, but there were about 6 customers TOTAL… INCLUDINGME in that store at the time, and 3 sales associates). I walked around for about 7 minutes looking for the specific items I came in for by myself. Found 1 of the 3 items, then went up to the cash register. A nice lady(Sorry, I couldn’t remember her name) with longer blondish hair came up from the back room and asked if I needed any assistance. I said yes, and showed her the list of items I came in for, and she did immediately help me. She told me that the other two items I couldn’t locate weren’t available, but that she could put together something like what I was looking for for $ 59.95. I was not planning on spending that much money on a single item. So I was handed the«door-sale» sheet and suggested to look at the items they had on sale for today. I went in there with a postcard that said for Wednesday, Sept. 19thONLY, get 40%-72% off everything in the store. I was told that the item they would put together for me was already marked down to $ 59.95. I did end up purchasing something different(stuffed sole). This is supposed to be the dinner I make for my husband for our 1-year wedding anniversary coming up. I was really disappointed in the customer service experience at this store. I will not be returning to this location any time soon. I had better luck when I got the Groupon for Omaha Steaks several months ago and had the online grill deal and it came delivered to my door and was cold, fresh, and I didn’t have to feel like I didn’t matter when I found what I was looking for on my own. One in a while, whenever I get that unexpected gift during the holidays, its been from this place for the past couple of years. Overall, some of their stuff did taste top notch(filet mignon, top sirloin, au gratin potatoes) but, some of it tasted good but, didn’t seem worth it price wise(franks, burgers, stuffed chicken) and, some of it surprisingly tasted bad(fish n’ chips) Anyway, I had to go there one year to make use of my gift card. The employees were very knowledgeable and would recommend certain entrees. I found it funny that one of the workers in no time tells me that he had to work here right after he lost all his money in the stock market. I probably wouldn’t shop there, but somehow, I always end up getting that Ohama Steaks giftcard during the holidays.
