Very Helpful Staff @ The Store. I have never actually been into this location. I called in and had items shipped directly to me. The Process was easy and I got the items very quickly. Brenda and the store manager are lovely ladies to deal with. I gave them 5 stars but their system was down and through some glitch with their system being down my account was charged 5 times. It was absolutely no fault of the stores or the staff. I am still waiting for almost $ 800 in credits. Sigh.

Delightful store in downtown Naperville. Awesome displays of home goods throughout the year. I always get inspired when I come here. I don’t know what other Unilocalers are complaining about. I’ve found the sales associates to be friendly and helpful. I love popping in here with a friend after coffee or lunch and roaming through all their cool wares. They also seem to have a 20% of special most days on one selection like throws, rugs, frames, etc. Granted, you can maybe find similar stuff for much less at Homegoods or TJ Maxx but sometimes it’s fun to splurge a bit and enjoy at full-service shopping experience. Major plus, you can have a glass of vino and one of the many restaurants/taverns within walking distance of PB after your shopping excursion. All good, all good in my book.

I’ve always been a fan of pottery barn and their lovely display of all the pretty little things, too bad their customer service has not met with their brand name. My husband and I bought our first house and so we’re in and out of PB all the time. On most occasions, no staff member approaches me and asks if I need assistance with anything, and If I do find one, they say they’re busy and they’ll be with me in a «moment». A moment is usually a long time and I leave the store because I’ve always experienced bad customer service and get frustrated to get assistance. Today, I went to return faux hydrangea flowers that didn’t match my vase at home, while picking up 600 dollar curtains we purchased at the store. I certainly don’t appreciate the disapproving looks and sighs and no eye contact while I needed to return an item. During this transaction, the store associate was answering a phone call and helping to find an item while attending to me. I did get a measly«sorry for that». She proceeds to get the curtains all with an annoying look on her face and just hands them to me and goes to the next customer. No, thank you for shopping… see you next time. have a good day… bye. Just plain rude and I found it to be consistent every time I go in there. Not shopping here anymore.

I had a $ 10 gift card for Pottery Barn that came with a wedding present we received. Who are they kidding? $ 10 at this store will buy you half a candle stick… or some small Christmas ornaments! Noticing the card was 2 days expired, I called ahead to be sure they would honor it regardless before I made the long journey. The manager said they would. Now I’ve been here many times before and according to my Mom, the following of what I experienced is not unique. Stepping inside the store, I was first impressed by the beautiful display but quickly became aware of my not being welcome. Three different employees clearly took notice of me as I approached the ornament laden Christmas tree. Not even one greeting. Carefully making my selection of a distinguished looking squirrel and a sparkling bird, I approached the register. An Indian lady, whom I will from here forward refer to as Ms Grouchy Pants, was standing behind the counter waiting to help the next customer. All she said was, «I can take the next customer in line,» and that was it. No hello, hi, howdy, hey, not even a «namaste.» At this point I was a little perturbed. After silently scanning my items Ms Grouchy Pants announced the total and then made a display of slowly getting my purchases wrapped and bagged. Finally noticing me holding out my $ 10 gift card she blankly looked at it and asked me what it was. She read it and legit smirked as she said, «it’s expired,» in the most unpleasant tone. I mentioned that I had called ahead about the card and I gave her the name of the manager I had spoken to. She looked downright disgusted as she called the manager up front to confirm this fact and get clearance to override the expiration date. The manager failed to acknowledge my presence as well. The rest of the transaction was rather unpleasant. Demanding the remaining balance, she completely ignored me as she held out the receipt and bag; I exited the store without a thank you, goodbye, or Merry Christmas.

I was shopping for a bridal shower gift. All of the employees were Soo helpful! When I walked in I was instantly greeted, the sales women helped me print my registry and walked around the store helping me find the perfect gift. When I found that gift, they then took the time to wrap it beautifully for me! It was a wonderful experience. I will definitely shop here again!!!

If my neighbors are any indicator, than this is the store to save up to shop in. Of course, you can only afford one lamp and side table at a time, but hey — its PB! They defintely get 5 stars on merchandising, this is what I wish my home looked like if I threw away sense, taste and money — I personally opt for antique.

Nice place to browse, and you might pick up a gift or two. I prefer something with a little more color and style, this is just plain trendy — read: transitional. Sofas and chairs, rugs, dining room sets, some housewares, pillows galore, and nice curtain fabrics. Cool picture frames. They have the current look, no question about that. But will it last?
