Imagine my horror when Ulta very unprofessionally, canceled an appt(with a laugh) that I had made several weeks prior with no advance notice at all. An appt for hair and makeup for one of the biggest nights of my year. Thank heavens Sephora was just a street over! I rushed over there and explained my situation and begged an associate, Albree, to help me out. She received the okay from a manager and the next thing I know, I’m in a chair getting my face scrubbed. You have to spend a minimum of $ 50 on products but the application itself is free. That’s really not a bad deal, considering you’re walking away with product. With luxe eyelashes that are reusable and the purchase of the NARS lipstick, the Diorskin Forever foundation that smelled fantastic and looked flawless, and the Givenchy Noir Couture mascara, it came to $ 140. No, it wasn’t the mere $ 50, but I was so happy with the look they gave me, purchasing some products to recreate it was an absolute given. After getting my skin digitally photographed and given the very best foundation that matched, I will never buy foundation any other way. It’s a perfect match. –A match you won’t get any other way. Certainly not at a mall makeup counter with a few dabs on your hand. Besides, why do so many match makeup to your hand when that’s not where it goes??? My only reason for giving them 4 Stars instead of 5 is because the last time I was in there with a friend, we were there for an hour and I don’t think we were even spoken to until we rang up at the end. I didn’t need anyone’s help that day, but asking me if I needed it would still have been preferred. That’s the only area I believe they might have some room for improvement. But after one makeup application, I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else.

I was pretty stoked once I learned about a Sephora opening in Downtown Naperville. Pretty stoked the day I went shopping here too! I have mixed feelings about my first experience… I was on the fence about giving this place 3 or 4 stars…4 since I walked out a happy customer. I had a gift card to spend, and I wanted to pick up my birthday month gift. Last time I went to Sephora(downtown Chicago on State Street) I wanted the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer all my co-workers bragged about… low and behold I returned with a two faced make up pallet and their liquid foundation since I must have requested help from someone who worked for Two Faced Cosmetics… so I tried again because I really prefer tinted moisturizer and this Laura Mercier stuff was supposed to be good. My Mom & I walked in on a Saturday afternoon… the place wasn’t swamped, but not dead… no greeting, though several staff members doing stock or whatever kind of looked at us with no acknowledgement. I needed someone to color match me… usually I come in, get what I need and head out but I did need help. My mom suggested I stay by the Laura Mercier stuff and she’d hunt someone down… eventually she did! Most of the girls did seem busy but it was almost to the point of ridiculous. I wish I remembered the name of the woman who helped us but she took out that fancy color matching camera thing they put on your face — it will email you the shades from different lines that match your color… sooooo cool! She was wonderful and very helpful.(Store Manager, if you’re reading this… all I can say is she’s blonde) I walked out spending a pretty penny once we were done… my Mom as well, but the process was a bit annoying, I hope my next visit here is better.

I stopped in because I was in urgent need of Sephora brand black eyeliner. This is the best kohl eyeliner that I’ve used, and it has a handy smudging tip on one end. I seriously feel lost without my black eyeliner, so I’m glad to have this sort of convenient location around now. The store is clean and organized, but the service is horrible. I was greeted right away when I walked in, but after that, I was iced out. I was asked if I needed help finding anything. I told her I just needed my eyeliner, and then she just turned her back to me. Her body language said, «okay, f*ck off then.» When I got to the register, I stood there, did the obvious look-around-the-store, and I saw 3 employees roaming around the store. I don’t know why I didn’t stick the eyeliner in my pocket and walk out. It was 15 minutes after opening, and I only saw one other customer in the store. When someone finally sauntered up to the register, she didn’t even say hello or apologize, she just scanned my item and asked for my Sephora card — all while mid-conversation with another employee. Parking over here is atrocious. I had to park at the library across the street. Again, this was on a rainy day right after opening, so you know those convenient spots are being taken up by the lazy brats that work here. 2 stars since they had my eyeliner in stock, but finding it at any other location has never been a problem. Skip this location.

VIB Rouge here, so obviously I’m all about that Sephora life. I love this store. Never have I walked in without being greeted and offered help. They make custom samples for you for any product, which all Sephora stores should do, but at this store they are so cool about it AND they offer advise for what other products go with the items you’re going to try. These ladies are just straight up pleasant. They know their stuff backwards and forwards. On my most recent visit there was a REN kit I’d been searching for. Although the app said this store had it, it wasn’t on the sales floor. Luckily the sales associate went and found it in back for me without me having to suggest it. One tip I can offer here is that if you want samples with your purchase, you have to ask. I think back in the day they’d just throw some in the bag at checkout, but no Sephora store seems to to that anymore.

I was at this sephora with a friend of mine who asked me to write this review for her. April went above and beyond the call of need to help me find this particular color eyeshadow. They not only called many sephoras around the area when they couldn’t find the color at their location but she assured me she would«get to the bottom of this» and help me out in whatever way she could. April was so nice and helpful. Every girl there also pitched in and help. I’m so impressed by their team!

I recently went to this sephora and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest coolest girl named katie. she was everything costumer service should be! Make up shopping should be fun and she exceeded that. By giving me a mini make over, color matching, and giving me samples of products I was discussing I had wanted. She was very sanitary and knew her products, she just didn’t put things on my face and didn’t explain the ingredients and features and benefits. She’s awesome I’ll always return because of her ! Great girl. :)

Yes, a Sephora in downtown Naperville! This is either amazing or my complete undoing, or both at the same time. No longer do I have to go all the way into the city to spend all of my money on fine cosmetics! The store is in a great location on Jefferson, and now that it’s finally open, the sidewalk is finally open as well! Staff here is awesome. For a $ 50 purchase you can get a free makeover(just sign up online), and I had a great time. Everyone here is really helpful and very nice. The selection is great(pretty much what you’d find in other Sephora stores) and the store is a good size, not too crowded and not too spacious.

SOOO excited that Sephora opened up in Naperville! Each time I’ve been there, the girls have been so helpful helping me find what I need. First I stopped in to exchange something from another Sephora. Today, I came in to find a new color for an event tonight. Katie was so helpful in choosing a new color(green!) that looks awesome! I love Sephora for the customer service, and this new location doesn’t disapoint :)

Brand new Sephora location! It’s pretty large and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I bought a foundation and they helped me find my perfect shade. Great first impression.
