I don’t get the appeal of this place. Did I come on a bad day? Is there usually someone there to help you choose the more delicious items? What did I do wrong? First of all, parking here is an atrocity against mankind and for me to keep coming back, I would need to REALLY enjoy the food to make it worth it. I know it’s not their fault but it’s terrible and worth mentioning as part of the experience. Once you walk in, it’s like an ultra-modern, brightly lit, super sparse deli case. There’s literally nothing in the entire restaurant but a wall of chilled cases filled with pre-packaged food and juices. I got a salad and a delicious almond? cashew? Some sort of nut juice. My husband got salmon(again, packaged. cold), and two juices. I could not believe how expensive our total was! I don’t even think the convenience of this place could sway me to believe that it was worth it. And while the juice was tasty, the salad and the salmon were… Ok. And I can’t do just OK for that kind of money! I may be back if I’m in a huge bind and need something insanely healthy to tide me over, but otherwise, I’ll save my money.

Snap is a busy girl’s(or guy’s) dream come true. It’s my dream come true even if I weren’t busy. GMO free. Gluten Free, Organic. Pre-made. Healthy. And color coded by size so you know which calorie level you’re buying. Top it all off with«tastes great». See? A dream come true. Lots and lots of options for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Desserts, and Snacks. My Celiac brother *loves* this place. I can pick him up GF Tikka Masala, Bison Burger, Meatballs and a serving of GF Key Lime Pie when he comes over to watch games at my house. No cross-contamination. Safe for Celiacs. And many options that keep him from feeling like he’s always eating the same thing. The smalls are… well small. But a skinny girl tip: Buy the pasta type dishes(such as house made sausage and spiral pasta or the meatballs and peppers) @250 cals. Sauté an entire bag of spinach or 50⁄50 spring mix in some garlic and Olive Oil Pam. Mix it in with your 250 cal pasta dinner. You just doubled your food for roughly 40 more cals and gifted yourself a lot of vitamin A. You can stay skinny. Stay healthy. And still keep your mouth happy.

I love this place already and I’ve only been here once so far! I was looking for a healthy weekend meal option that would save me some money and the hassle of cooking. Enter Snap Kitchen. I was immediately greeted when I walked through the door and got an entire rundown of the place and concept when the guy working there found out it was my first time there. I chose the medium sized beef chimichurri and tikka Marsala to use as my weekend dinner. I would have bought a few more things, but by the time I arrived on a Saturday evening, they had sold out of some things. This is the only bummer of my experience. Both meals cooked up in the microwave very well. They also plated very nicely. I think the price is reasonable for having a quick, convenient meal that is also health conscious and not loaded with sodium. I’m also fond of their rewards program-10 bucks back for every 200 spent(about 18 – 22 meals). I’m looking forward to using this place for my weekend meals. I’ll still save money and calories instead of going out to eat. I’m also looking forward to online ordering functionality, which I believe they are working on. I can still call ahead and get curbside pickup, which will be a major plus in the winter months. Can’t wait to try some more meals this weekend!

I’ve probably already mentioned on Unilocal that I’m doing a 90 day transformation challenge at my gym, so along with that comes healthy eating… not that I don’t know how to eat healthy, but there are places out there which will help in this area. Also, cooking for one with a ridiculous schedule sometimes leaves me to have dinner at 8 or 9pm, which I don’t like, so a place like this is absolutely wonderful… in so many ways!!! Before some random facebook post someone made, I never heard of this place… in fact, I’m not even sure if I would wander in here while in the downtown Naperville area otherwise. I didn’t plan on spending over $ 50 in here, but I did plan on buying a few things to hold me over till my next grocery shopping day… I really didn’t have a plan in mind when I walked in but they have snacks, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, oh and desserts of three sizes… so you can get the same meal in three sizes! The variety is wonderful, and there is lots to choose from! I picked up a few items, but included one of each — a snack, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. The food here is also marked with an «eat by» date, as well as dietary info — gluten free, carb conscious, sodium conscious, etc. I happen to be following a low carb diet so I had NO problems at all finding things in here! I will be back to find more too! All of their food tells you how long to microwave it for — and it’s right on the money… nothing is still cold on the inside, and the containers are fabulous to reuse as well! Also, the food tastes great! I can’t wait to try the mini goat cheese cheesecake I bought tonight! They also have a rewards program for every $ 200 spent, you get $ 10 off. I dig this place a lot!!! I can’t wait to return!

I love love love snap kitchen. As someone with several food allergies, I am forever grateful for the ease of snaps labeling. Also, the meals though premade are fresh and the salt content is minimal. Reasonable prices and great portions. I cannot put five stars because I feel like snap does not restock well. Every time I’ve gone, there is at least one thing out of stock that I want to try. Other than that, snap is great and I recommend the salmon and trout. The menu is seasonal so be sure to stop in and try falls options!

I love this place. Everything has great flavor. The snack size is a perfect lunch for me. The staff is helpful and friendly. So glad they came to Naperville!

I can’t say I was too impressed. I was looking for some things for a picnic lunch and there wasn’t much to choose from… as in, the shelves were practically empty. Prices were a little steep too. Like the concept so I’ll give it another shot to see if I should just give up and go to the grocery store deli counter.

As a health professional, you can imagine my disappointment when I found the healthy food at Snap Kitchen to be pre-packaged with a suggestion to microwave it. I’m all for non-GMO food with real ingredients but if I bought a Lamborghini I certainly wouldn’t put it in the driveway, I’d put it in the garage! So why is Snap Kitchen promoting the destruction of nutrients that you’re paying for by eating there? I could get into the intricacies of that but you can look that up for yourself and make your own judgement. So, overall, I love the concept but I wish they’d ditch the microwaves! For the record, I took my pre-packaged meal home and steamed it, I found it to be delicious but had to add a few organic veggies to it to get full.

I love this place with a passion! I came in on the 4th of July not knowing they were open… As I browsed the selection I was told nothing was for sale yet as they hadn’t opened :/joke was on me because the manager gave me 2 free bags of food to try as a promotion :) SCORE! Ok so down to business… This place caters to everything I need … Sodium conscious, sugar conscious, carb conscious and vegetarian! The goat cheesecake was so good and the egg white sweet potato scramble was amazing ! Keep doing your thing Snap — people will start to get the hint soon :)

Great customer service. They have amazing food that is non-GMO, and the meat is grass fed, free range, and antibiotic free. The food is all so fresh and made out of simple ingredients that I can pronounce!!! Love the place and the people. It is such a great concept to have really healthy, but also delicious fast food!!! Also, it’s meant to be taken to eat at home or work, but they do have a microwave available and a small bar-like seating area. So that’s great if you are on a lunch break and don’t want to eat at your place of work.

When I first found out that Snap Kitchen was opening in downtown Naperville, I was really excited. I’d never heard of it before, but a quick perusal of the menu indicated a wealth of VEGAN options! Finally, vegan food in Naperville! Unfortunately, this place isn’t an actual restaurant or café, it’s like a tiny little grocery store that sells pre-made and pre-packaged meals. Which I don’t have a problem with, it just kind of sucks that you have to heat it up and eat it elsewhere. I found the people working here to be very friendly and helpful as I originally had a hard time figuring out what was vegan.(Pet peeve: Why in the everloving heck is it so easy to find and purchase gluten free hockey pucks of fake bread than it is to find vegan food? Seriously?) I wound up with the«fettucini alfredo»(in scare quotes because it was gluten free *grumble* and also vegan, so no actual pasta or alfredo sauce was involved in the making of the meal). Delicious even unheated, so I was happy about that. They also sell unsweetened iced tea(which, in my opinion, is the only real kind of iced tea, but apparently people who aren’t from New England put sugar in it) which gets bonus points in my book. Sad thing is, since this place isn’t a restaurant, I just can’t justify the expense. If I’m going to have to leave my apartment for food, only to have to go back into my apartment to cook and eat it, I may as well go to the grocery store and save myself a load of cash.

I went to try Snap Kitchen tonight for dinner. I had a pretty giant lunch, so finding a place with some healthy options to eat at work to hold me over during a night shift sounded great. Overall, I was pretty impressed with the food. I got the small chimichurri chicken and a chia date pudding. You can’t argue with a 420 calorie dinner, and both things were really tasty. It was about $ 10 total for both things, so it’s not cheap, but I’ll pay for fresh and healthy food. I’m really happy to see healthier options popping up in downtown Naperville because I feel like there really aren’t many healthy options here that I can have at work. There are only so many times you can have a giant burrito or barbeque — not really light lunch foods. You do have to reheat the food that you get here, so it’s meant to be something to take to work or take home to eat. You can’t just stop in and have food, you have to have a destination in mind with a microwave. So overall, I really like the food. The only things keeping me from giving the place 5 stars were #1 — the staff kind of kept to themselves and didn’t really talk. I wish I’d gotten more interaction with the people working there — what would they recommend, tell me about the place since I’ve never been here, etc. The food is laid out kind of spread out and maybe they could have pointed me to something I’d really like. Instead they just kind of stood there and I just wandered around for 5 minutes picking up everything and looking at the ingredients and nutritional information. Not necessarily bad customer service, I just wish I’d learned more about the place since I stumbled upon it or learned more without having to pick up all of the food.(The reviewer below me got to take some extra food home to try — I wish I’d known that, I’d love to try more!) I’ll definitely come back and try some more food here next time I want a quick, healthy meal at work, and hopefully I’ll also get to talk to the staff a little more about the options available. Update: Emily from Snap Kitchen saw my review and invited me in for a tour. Not only was she incredibly kind, everyone there was so friendly and approachable. I got to learn all about the different sizes, lunch and dinner concepts(more carbs in lunches, more protein in dinners), symbols for things like dairy free(good for me since I’m lactose intolerant), and more. It’s actually fairly ingenious. The way the store is laid out makes so much more sense to me now. I also got to try some more food which is all delicious(butternut squash pasta!!!). I think my first visit must have been an off day since the staff was wonderful and so helpful, not just to me, but everyone in the store. Upgrading my review to 5 stars for sure!

Glad I decided to try this store/restaurant/??? Ok, I’m not sure what category it fits in, but I’m in love. In a nutshell, I’m giving 5 stars because the concept is great and very needed, also the food is tasty. So, from what I gather, Snap is based out of Austin, TX and they offer a pre-packaged, healthy, fast, tasty option in contrast to the abundance of not so healthy fast food joints. They never use white flour or butter… pretty cool so far. Food was the last element of my experience, but I want to start with the food… the dishes we tried were DELICIOUS!!! We had the grass-fed bison quinoa hash, chicken enchiladas, lamb lasagne, turkey bolognese spaghetti, and strawberry applesauce. Everything was seasoned perfectly and very fresh. I was floored when I tasted each dish! I love bad food: pizza, fried«anything», milkshakes, and etc. So, I was expecting not be impressed by the taste of all this healthy stuff. Well, I’m VERY impressed and I can eat like this everyday! They also offer fresh juices, however, there weren’t any available when I was there. I was told they only had about 70% of their menu out right now. They have salads that look very good as well. Pricing is listed on their website. Each small or medium entrée was around $ 8-$ 10. The set-up: To be honest, the set-up kind of caught me off guard and I almost turned around and went to get a hotdog when I realized this wasn’t a «restaurant» type place. However, I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. Anyway…it’s like a store and they offer cold, pre-packaged meals. They have drinks, sides, salads, soups, snacks, and entrees/meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Almost everything is displayed in a refrigerated display on the wall and you just grab what you want. It’s all separated by category/meal. Everything is clearly labeled with the nutritional breakdown, price, and expiration date. For many of the entrees, they offer small, med, and large sizes. The containers are color coded for each size. The portions are adequate. My husband and I were able to share a small lamb lasagne and a small bison quinoa hash. They also display symbols for specific diets such as: gluten free, dairy free, low sodium, vegan, and paleo. They have microwaves set-up and lots of spices and utensils if you want to eat there. There’s a small area of bar seating by the window. The service was wonderful. Karen helped me out and she was phenomenal!!! The staff members running the store right now are from Texas. Karen did a great job explaining everything to me and giving me suggestions based on what I like/don’t like. The last and best part… I purchased 2 entrees and they gave me a full bag of about 6FREE entrees/items to try at home!!! These items were free because they were expiring in 2 days, but nice way to sample more of Snap’s dishes.
