Trudy’s Flowers

I stopped in on my way to work looking for a SMALL corsage to be ordered. The lady (not Trudy) did not seem to grasp what SMALL was. She did not show me a flower, only photos of huge corsages.
Stuck with Floral Expressions who wrote up my order within 10 minutes and showed me examples of flowers. They also were willing to take my «snapit band» since the corsage is for someone with tiny wrists. This place did not even wish to work with me on this– only saying“we have bands that can be shortened”. Duh, i have been thru that, and knowing time is of the issue– why would i bring in the person who i am surprising with a corsage?
I cut the lady off who could not stop talking and thanked her, went to work– then the next day went to Floral Expressions.

Great people and service! I found Trudy’s on the internet because they were close to my wife’s work place. I was not disappointed. Their arrangements are stunning. I have been using them for a couple of years now. Recently because of what I requested to be put on a card with the flowers, I was asked why I had written what I did. My wife had survived cardiac arrest and the explanation had left both myself and my Trudy’s staffer in tears. That was the most beautiful arrangement she had ever received!(and yes I did pay for it!) My wife absolutely gushes whenever she gets flowers, and the reactions of other women are really a testament to the personal service they give their customers. They will work with any budget, and will ask many questions to give you what you want. Nowadays I’ve been so happy with their service, I call them, and give them the dollar amount I’m willing to spend and let them do the rest:) Their long stem roses are awesome.

Today I called 6 florists and only one had my wife’s favorite– peonies or rinunculus available. I recently went down with sudden knee surgery and my wife has been worthy of flowers more than ever – plus it’s Valentine’s Day. I spoke Jocelyn who not only stayed on the phone longer than 90% of the other florists I called, but was attentive and walked me through options regarding arrangement and pricing. I really wanted the flowers delivered in the morning, but I appreciated her honesty in letting me know it would be until the afternoon due to the specific flowers I wanted. She also allowed me to email her my message to my wife instead of awkwardly reciting to her my best message in that moment. All in all my experience with Trudy’s was greatness, especially the customer service, and the fact that they had flowers the others didn’t. Owe and by the way, my wife loved the flowers and they came out great!

I am updating my review and giving Trudy’s Flowers 4 stars now. They called me after seeing my review and pictures and to be fair we have ordered from them quite often in the past and I’ve never offered them a good or fair review. Although, I’ve never been blown away by the service or flowers which is what motivates one to leave a review. Unfortunately for them it was something bad that happened that motivated me to leave the bad review. They called and apologized and sent me a dozen new roses. These roses still look beautiful TWO days later
I look forward to seeing what they can deliver in the future because we will continue to use them.

I am from out of state and had to order flowers for my sister who is going through a terrible time in her life at the moment (her oldest son diagnosed with cancer). I had 2 hours to order her birthday flowers. I called Trudy’s, asked if they could make the arrangement and deliver to my sister within the time frame and they went out of their way for me! Suzy, your are the BEST! Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Besides the arrangement being absolutely beautiful, getting it to my sister on time… you put a BIG smile on her face and warmed heart heart! Definitely recommend Trudy’s Flowers!

I disputed the amount since what was delivered was not I was promised and not what I paid for.
They lied to CitiBank who believed them and refused to credit my account. I was robbed-don’t be stupid and use these frauds.

Thank you to both Julie and Joslyn for their patience and recommendations for our wedding flowers. We had a relatively small wedding and ordered 2 pedestals for the wedding, as well as my bouquet and the boutonnière for the groom and ring bearer. These turned out beautifully and we received so many compliments. I appreciate you using beautiful flowers, including calla lilies, roses and orchids. Trudy’s flowers also delivered my bouquet and the arrangements at different times throughout the day to different locations at a very reasonable price. Thank you for being a part of our memorable day.

This is my first review of a florist since I started Unilocaling. I was so impressed by Trudy’s on Mother’s Day that I felt the need to write this review as soon as possible.
Like a big dummy, I forgot to order flowers for my wife from her one-​year-​old son for Mother’s Day until 10 AM the day of. I called at least 10 different florists in Naperville all of whom basically laughed at me because I needed them to put a bouquet together and deliver it before noon.
Not only did the lady on the phone at Trudy’s not laugh at me, she actually was pleasant and happy to help. She was able to put a dozen multicolored roses and half a dozen Lillys together at very short notice, and delivered within two hours of my phone call on Mother’s Day. Not only were the flowers delivered on very short notice but the quality was perfect. The roses are all still very healthy five days later and most of the lilies are still opening up!
Believe me I realize that I am an idiot for waiting as long as I did before ordering the flowers. However it is a very nice thing when you find a store that still cares about top notch customer service.
I would recommend Trudy’s to anybody in Naperville the surrounding area. And, as for me, I will never use another florist in Naperville again. Thank you owners and staff of at trudy’s for saving my Mother’s Day!!!

Bought my wife a bouquet of tropical flowers for her birthday. They are absolutely gorgeous. One of the best bouquets I’ve seen. The service was prompt and friendly. I’ll definitely be going back here!

I picked up flowers over the weekend for my sons prom and what a disappointment for 47.00. When my son took the wrist corsage out of the plastic bag… it fell a apart. How embarassing since I use to work for a shop many many years ago. I don’t normally complain but prom is so expensive to begin with i just want to warn other moms oput there not to waste there time or money on Trudys flowers. I should have went to Dave’s!

I have ordered flowers for many occasions from Trudy’s! Each time I have been more pleased than the last. My high school-​aged children order all of their corsages and boutonnieres for dances and prom and they are always, hands down, the freshest, most beautiful, flowers in all of the pictures. This afternoon, just 2 hours before the homecoming dance, I realized that we never ordered flowers. I called Trudy’s and in 20 minutes, we picked up a lovely boutonnierre that matched my daughter’s dress perfectly. The woman on the phone was helpful and kind. I have been to Trudy’s many, many times, even returning with pictures of special occasions where their arrangements were used and have never been anything but thrilled with the service and product!

Awful customer service. Shame on them. Felt like I was putting them out when placing an order over the telephone. Think twice before spending your money there.

Used them to send a special birthday bouquet to Chicago. Went into the store 3 days in advance of delivery date I needed and the near $ 100 package WAS NOT DELIVERED! I only found out that it was not delivered when I called my sister (the recipient) and she said she received nothing. Trudy’s Flowers had no idea it was not delivered until I called and it took multiple phone calls from me to follow up and get my money back. They offered no customer service and lame excuses. WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND.
