We were a little disappointed with this place. After reading all of the rave reviews, reading through the menu and weighing it against other dinner options in town, we decided to try Bha! Bha! and we’re expecting to be blown away. Our disappointment stems from the lack of service and inattention to detail. When going out to a nice restaurant in Naples with great reviews and paying Naples prices, I expect everything to be perfect down to the last detail, so this review might seem a bit harsh, but I am comparing it to other similarly-priced restaurants in the area that actually HAVE blown me away. Our waiter was extremely inattentive. He rushed us in ordering our food, but then never came back to ask if we needed anything or if we were enjoying the food. After we finished our meal, he just dropped off dessert menus at our table with no explanation or question of if we would like dessert! He barely said a word. It was really weird and awkward such a stark contrast to other places I’ve eaten in Naples — I’ve grown to expect the staff to be extremely attentive and friendly! Also, we were not provided bread or any kind of complimentary pre-dinner snack. Not a huge deal because we had an appetizer anyway, but I’ve come to expect this kind of thing. Missed opportunity to add a nice touch and make guests feel welcome and attended to. I have almost no complaints about the food. First of all, the menu is really unique and creative and I wanted to try everything on it. My friend’s kabobs were incredible, as was my ginger apricot shrimp. The only thing they could have done better was that the shrimp tails were still attached to my shrimp and very hard to remove. I have been to restaurants at similar price points where they start the cut on the tails for you, so removing them is easy. I know this doesn’t sound like a huge deal, but I expect these little details when going to a nice place where the prices are a little higher. Plus, we were wearing nice clothes and it got a little messy trying to cut those darn shrimp tails! Not sure I would go back when there are so many excellent restaurants in Naples that are impeccable when it comes to attention to detail and service, but we did really love our food.

Pomegranate martinis to drink, had 2; very good and didn’t hold back on the alcohol. Had the lamb pistachio meatballs and mussels as appetizers. As the main course, lamb & eggplant dish for dinner. The eggplant was so buttery and sweet that it reminded me of a sweet plantain. The pinnacle of the meal was the butternut squash Royal cake. It was something I never even thought I was want to try but our waiter highly recommended and I couldn’t have been happier. I wish I had room for 2. Finished the meal with a beautiful little Turkish coffee. Can’t wait to come back to Bha Bha. Service was top notch too.

A wonderful Gem on 5th ave. Truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service throughly as much as I enjoyed the food. We showed up a few minutes late to our 8:45 seating without a clue that their kitchen closed at 9. Shortly after being seated we heard the hostess turn down a few other parties so we were very relieved to have made the cut. Firstly, my partner and I were both impressed with the temperature the dishes came out with. Everything was hot,(in terms of degrees!) It’s funny but it was then that we realized that most restaurants, in retrospect, serve the meals Mildly warm… What a luxury to have a hot dish. So much more enjoyable. Our appetizers were good, the meatballs and flash fried eggplant… However our main entrees were outstanding. The salmon entrée was very fresh, a generous portion, and very beautifully presented. 5 stars. The spicy beef kermani was… Wow! Just what I wanted, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, the beef, all with a great dimension of heat, spice and flavor. 5 stars as well. Like others have mentioned service is very consistent in the restaurant and very attentive. We cannot wait to return. Ciao Bha Bha!

Best meal of my entire trip in Florida! We had spent the day at the beach and we’re looking for somewhere we could get fun drinks and yummy food that is also healthy. We started with the hummus which was great. Presentation was awesome and came with pita and a really delicious olive oil inside. I got the pistachio pomegranate salad and flash fried eggplant and my friend got the Salmon. She loved her Salmon and the salad was good– but the eggplant OMG. Best eggplant of my entire life and had a block of the most delicious feta cheese on the side to mix in. I could have just eaten that eggplant and been completely content. If you can’t tell, I recommend getting the eggplant ;)

I came back Saturday night for a date to this Persian restaurant. I had a reservation and had the chance to get a table outside on terrace. It was really romantic. The lights were creating a good atmosphere on the 5th avenue. The wine menu is excellent. I ordered olives, hummus and then we asked to get a Paëlla. It’s not on the menu but they will prepare it for you and it’s just a gem. Service is fast as usual and staff is really really nice. A very good team is managing this place. I love it and I will come back soon.

Extremely attentive, professional service– Our waiter even offered to re-chill our champagne while we were finishing off our wine which preceded it. Masterful grasp of flavor profiles provided by Middle Eastern/Persian spices. The food was a 4⁄5 only because my dining partner’s Beef Kabobs were a little blah. My Kehrmani beef was an incredibly flavorful and unique dish, as were the Lamb Meatballs. The waiter was happy to bring sides of the Kehrmani sauce and pomegranate seeds for the Kabobs, which was great. The air of the restaurant is alive with enticing smells, and everyone I encountered seemed to really be enjoying themselves. I will be back as soon as possible.

Upon his arrival in Naples, my father decided that he wanted to become a regular at a few decent places to help ensure that during prime-season tables could still be obtained. A man without a plan, he is not. And, as Bha Bha happens to be one of the finest meals I’ve had in a while, not just down here, but full stop, I’m pleased to see that BB made his short list. As last time I was in town I missed our family outing here and was still very much deep in the dog house for that, when it came time to celebrate M’s 31st, I figured that there was no better place than a resto home to a lacquered salmon that Stevo calls«insane», which I know well enough to interpret as leaps and bounds yummier than a dish that is «fun» or «fine». Arrived on a warm Sunday night, place full but not maxed out, lowered the age by ohhhhh, about 35 years, as expected — quickly lead to a table and greeted by Sara, my father’s favorite server(b/c yes… that’s a thing…), who recommended zippy ginger/mango martinis and a bottle of syrah to help get the party started. From there, we moved into warm olives(herbs, garlic, orange zest) and a large hummus — a bit chunkier than usual, but with a wonderful nuttiness from the tahini that made it hard to resist. Even if you’re celiac, do yourself a favor and hit their house-made pita v hard — warm, firm yet pliable enough to easily ferry an abundance of hummus into my mouth with grace and elegance. Also debated starting with the panier lavash(feta, garlic, tomatoes, kalamatas, onions), pistachio lamb meatballs, haleem bademjune(eggplant/lentil blend, topped w caramelized onions, mint oil, walnuts, scallions) or the spicy mussels — but got distracted by the salads before ordering it all. Hit the hearts of palm(which, weirdly, was actually artichoke hearts…) salad as well as the spinach/pomegranate/pistachio/apple/apricots/feta salad — both were amply portioned and chock full of interesting ingredients, though brightness was absent in both. Allot your calories elsewhere. Entrees are split into beef, lamb, poultry, seafood — kabobs aplenty, though our carnivores went for the plum lamb(braised in tomato pomegranate sauce, sundried plums, sauteed bnut squash) — though I secretly wish they had gotten the ghormeh sabzi for the sole purpose of allowing me to figure out what lamb done with a «multilevel fresh herb sauce» entails. Also went for the pomegranate salmon(grilled, on a bed of saffron lentils, w apricots, raisins, caramelized onions, grilled veg) — salmon was perfectly medium rare, the lentils with that characteristic tang that makes Persian food so enticing. Highly recommend. Around us, most ppl went for a kabob of some sort, though the duck fesenjune(onion, turmeric, bed on pomegranate/walnuts w carrots/apricots/currents in ginger/mango glaze) also looked like a winner. I rarely say this, so listen carefully. Portions for entrees are huge. As in, the four of us split two and there was PLENTY of food to go around. Didn’t hit dessert, but seriously considered the jewel cake(bnut squash/apricots/plums) and the apricot/mint situation. Appetizers run $ 8 – 18, salads $ 12 – 15, entrees $ 25 – 36, veg sides $ 7 – 8, dessert $ 8. Given the mountain of food, you can eat well for a party of four for $ 160ish(incl drinks/bottle of wine) — if you’re skipping the cocktails, I think splitting an app, a salad, and an entrée would be plent of food for two. Is it the cheapest meal you can find in the Nap? No. But it’s likely one of the best.

Simple as can be … Wonderful experience having dinner at «bha! bha!» How lucky we were to discover this jewel on 5th Ave South. We enjoyed outdoor seating. Service was outstanding, fast but without any pressure. Our food selection for the night, one after another can not be better: fresh fried eggplant, pomegranate & pistachio spinach salad follow by pomegranate lacquered fresh salmon. What else then Persian baklava to end the night

Food was good. Somewhat pricy. My apricot chicken was excellent. My friends ordered lamb and it was average. My wife’s beef was excellent. Our service was not very good. The waiter was always in a hurry. He had trouble following our instructions. Over all our experience was good.

Good food– nice atmosphere & good service. Great presentation & flavor of food. was busy on a Saturday night so definitely recommend making reservations before going. The hummus was good– tasted like regular hummus with coarse black pepper on top. The large portion was smaller than I was expecting– enough for 3 – 4 people. It was served with warm pita bread which was delicious. For main meal I shared the mixed grill– it had beef, lamb, and chicken served with rice. Meat had good flavor but was a bit on the dry side. Would’ve been better if served with some sauce or yogurt dipping on the side. Dessert was ok– the baklava was very sweet, average as was the pear napeoleon.

From the ambiance to the server and food, everything was good and delicious. Taking one star down because of the pita bread. It should be better. Came a little burned and the presentation was weird. I like to open my own pita instead of having small pieces in a basket.

Delicious! A consistent and welcome dining option in the land of bland chain restaurants. Pomegranate salad starter and salmon main course are the absolute way to go. Solid wine list.

Ok, I’m rounding up from 3 ½ STARS, as it was pricey and the apricot shrimp entrée, for which they are«famous», didn’t impress me much(too sweet and saucey, almost like a sweet and sour Chinese dish, but w/apricot). My GF’s fish entrée was excellent, and the salad starter was also good, and unusual b/c of the added dried fruit… very tasty. The waiter serving the adjacent table was clearly excellent, but our waitress was just ok(probably due to a lack of full command of the English language). Generally, I find good middle eastern food in a «hole in the wall» place, but Bha Bha did offer some unusual, high end dishes that you won’t find anywhere else, and it certainly is NOT a «hole in the wall».

Subpar customer service but good food. We arrived at 8:30 on a Friday night. Our table was not ready when we arrived so the hostess suggested we get a drink at the bar. That was a perfectly suitable option. However, the bartender kept insisting that our table would be ready in a few minutes, so we were unable to get drinks while we waited. It took a while for the empty table to be cleaned before we could sit down, but once we got our food, we were all satisfied. We agreed the flash fried eggplant was one of the better options. Our waiter was amazing – he gave us extra pita, which was very much appreciated, as well as suggestions as to where else to go since we were visiting. The only other issue we experienced was the delay between our appetizers and entrees. It must have been 20 – 25 minutes, which was too long for us.

Not sure what the hype is about. The place is cute and has some cool seating inside and out, but there’s nothing special about this place. The food is good, but it seems very fusion… possibly not 100% authentic. I believe there are Persian recipes involved, but the chef is putting a twist which makes it very different. The ambiance is ok, but the atmosphere was low and slightly boring. The interior is also very fusion… a mix between some artifacts from Iran and ultra modern from US. I would have enjoyed the place more had they kept a more traditional Iranian look and feel and taste. That’s what I look for in these types of places. If I want ultra chic and fusion I can go anywhere.

Bha Bha Persian Bistro is a nice upscale Persian and Mediterranean restaurant with a variety of kebab and meat options and fresh salads. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with long benches and small pillows. This is a white table and candles kinda place. We ordered the Mango Garlic Shrimp and the Spicy New Zealand Green-Shell Mussel appetizers. The shrimp was butterfly cut in a sweet red mango chutney together with carrots and onions. The muscles were soaked in the tomato sauce which had a nice mild kick to it; not too overwhelming to detract from the taste of the mussels. There were 8 mussels, perfect for everyone to try. Overall, both appetizers were great. For my entrée, I ordered the Spicy Beef Kermani, which I can only describe as a beef and vegetable stir-fry-like dish. It came with a mound of saffron rice and cucumber yogurt sauce. The beef was mixed with slices of carrots, tomatoes, and mushrooms. The meat was nicely cooked with a building spiciness to it, which was easily countered by the cucumber yogurt sauce, rice, and mixed in vegetables. There was a lot, more than I could finish. All of the other dishes my party ordered were equally great. The service at Bha Bha was very attentive; fit for the classiness of the restaurant. Our waitress was very informed about all of the dishes and was able to answer any questions we had. She frequently came by to fill our waters, bring more pita bread, and check in. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at Bha Bha Persian Bistro. I have eaten at many Mediterranean and Middle Eastern places before, and Bha Bha is in the top 10 next to Afrah’s in Dallas and a kebab place in Kenya. For anyone looking for an upscale Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired meal, I would highly suggest you give them a try. Food was good, atmosphere appropriate for the overall quality of the restaurant, and service great. In total, I give them a solid 4/5, if not slightly more.
