1st time there was decent, typical Chinese take out quality. 2nd time was terrible. The Volcano shrimp and the Szechuan shrimp was scary. In both dishes the shrimp flaked apart. I’m hoping it was because it was unbearably over cooked. All the vegetables were the exact same shade of dark, over cooked green. I’m not going back.

No better since the last time. Chicken tasted like it was first frozen then microwaved and cooked. Chewy and weird, didn’t seem like real chicken meat. Almost like a combo mix of strange meats. Tasteless General Tzo Tasteless and watery sauce for egg foo young, more like brown water. Tofu dish was no better. Had brown sauce that was just soy sauce, no spices. Good thing is they no longer have Dim sum, it was frozen kind anyway. Yet still leave the pictures up on the walls and in the menu. They Sell ugly old ear rings on counter along with … Herbs? Probably illegal, looked dusty and ancient as it sat on the shelf. Ah well, my dogs ate well.

READTHISFIRST: Revisited 3 times now under new management? New chef? Whatever. The General Tso chicken is VERY good. No, really, it is not that same shit you get everywhere caked in breading. This guy uses a recipe style that I have had at few other places. I think its just dusted in rice flour and or corn starch and wok fried. Comes out with great crunch and moist chicken(well 2 out of 3 time anyhow) and the sauce is a deeper flavor too. It grows on you after the first bite because you expect the same old sweet thing. The rest of the dishes seem comparable to most places around. I have upgraded my previous 2 star rating solely on the General Tso dish. The remainder below is my previous review. Anyone who says this is good doesn’t know food or Chinese food. Yes it is acceptable(maybe if you are that lazy and really don’t have much of a palate), but it falls into the category of Chinese joints where every dish is far too similar in taste and composition. There is no love in the food. There is a much better choice just down the road. We have ordered from China Chen about 5 times. I hope the food gets better because it would be a very convenient location for us. Side note: No sesame noodles. Orders were incorrect on more than one occasion.
