Dairy Queen

Just want to commend Heather for her friendliness and service. We are from NJ and went there twice this week and she was very friendly and personable. She works very very hard and made sure very customer was happy!!! Keep smiling Heather and thank you!!!

Für einen Freund von echten Burger ist diese Fast-​Food-​Kette sicherlich eine kleine Zumutung. Früher gab es bei Dairy Queen überwiegend Eis und Shakes in allen möglichen Variationen, aber nun gehört wohl zu fast jedem Dairy Queen auch noch Grill & Chill dazu, also eine große Auswahl an Burgern, Wraps und Sandwiches etc. Zudem gibt es noch die typischen Shakes, Orange Julius und Sundaes etc.
Ich muss sagen, wenn ich in Amerika bin, dann esse ich auch mal zwischendurch solch einen Burger. Die Semmel eher weich und außen leicht fettig, aber so what — schmecken tut es mir trotzdem mal.
Wir waren insgesamt 3x dort und ich habe jedes Mal etwas anderes probiert.
Mushroom Swiss-​Burger, Pulled Pork (war eine Sonderaktion) und ein Chili Cheese Dog. Die beiden ersten sind echt lecker und beim dritten ist es jedes Mal das Gleiche. Auf der einen Seite sieht es schon recht unappetitlich aus, aber ich bin dann hin und her gerissen zwischen lecker und oha…
Was aber immer sein muss und dafür könnte ich fast sterben… der original Orange Julius!
Was wir bei allen 3 Besuchen festgestellt haben: Das Personal ist entweder zu wenig oder zu schlecht ausgebildet. Der Laden war nicht grad überfüllt, aber trotzdem hat es ewig gedauert. Dann hat auch noch das Kartenlesegerät nicht funktioniert…
Sauberkeit war grad noch ok.

When I go to Dairy Queen, more often than not I order a Blizzard. My favorite part about getting Blizzards was always how, after taking it out of the roaring machine, they turn the cup upside down and the ice cream stays inside! Well, let me just say that you can’t do that at this location… every time I go here, the ice cream melts superfast (not just Blizzards, I’ve also gotten cones and sundaes). Blizzards come out so watery I would’ve been better off ordering a milkshake. It would’ve been thicker, anyway.
And Jack is right, they’re always understaffed. I’ve never gone through the drive-​thru, but I’ve never not seen a «help wanted» sign on the door as I walk in.
If you really get a hankering for ice cream and you’re in this area of Golden Gate, then you can go here. I’ve never had a problem with the actual taste of the food. Just be prepared to pay premium prices for ice cream that’s probably not prepared as well as at other DQ locations.

LAME
This DQ apparently never has enough help because I have gone here numerous times and every time I have given this place another chance, I am reminded of why I didn’t like it the first time.
Last time I went the drive-​thru girl was so rude I canceled my order and drove around to the the front to order from the counter.
They had ONE p.o.‘ed chick working the drive through AND the counter. WTF? Somebody must have called out that day because she was PISSED… slamming stuff around and barking at people.
Holy crap I high tailed it out of there!
I swear the only thing keeping this place in business is screaming little kids and tired, burned out parents.
Even the servings suck. They won’t even fill the cup all the way, and I end up with a melted mess that I paid $ 5 – 6 for.
