Today I went to the café, I had told many many people how wonderful the pastries were as I had experienced a few times before. I got a raisin roll and scone to go, eagerly waiting to have some coffee with it and enjoy. My raisin roll was stale, the taste was delicious but it was stale. the scone was not very good, it looked better than it tasted. I was very disappointed. Did he give me the older ones, the ones in the back? I was afraid to even put the review in, as I had read a review where the owner was angry about what a person wrote One day I asked the owner baker what was the difference as I had gotten a raisin roll 2 days prior and it did not taste half as delicious as the oneI was eating, at the time, he said his wife was the baker that day.

Great lunch… good server.. Had french ham on Baugette, really done good. Great bread and plenty of ham and cheese. Service was quick and friendly. I didn’t have desert but the French patisserie looks so good. I be back…

The food is OK, I had the chicken walnut apple sandwich. Just priced a dollar or two over of what it should be. The atmosphere is very nice yet relaxed. My portion was moderate but I’m still hungry. It’s really just a pastry shop which I may try next time. So if you’re in the area and you just want something sweet and not that hungry(or full) this may be the spot for you. Oh, and service was prompt and friendly.

After writing my review, which I stand by, the owner wrote me back, which is posted. I was quite impressed. Even though he was grouchy, it didn’t stop me from continuing to go there. His explanation of his prices and his apology really made me appreciate how hard it must be to run a good business in Naples. He is to be commended for his wonderful baked goods, his integrity, and desire to please his customer. I still love the croissant and raisin rolls. I think I’ll break down now and go for lunch!

These were the most amazing pastries I’ve ever tasted! I wish I could’ve had one of everything but, you know, budget and calorie constraints and all that, we stuck to splitting three. Raisin roll, chocolate croissant, almond croissant. The almond croissant was so fresh from the oven it was deliciously warm. Lattes were nice and foamy. Pastries are a little more expensive than say, Starbucks, but considering they’re made in-house and fresh and not being unwrapped from plastic after being made days(if not more) before, isn’t it worth it? Service was quite friendly — having not been here during the prior owner’s tenure I can’t compare. French radio station playing on the speakers makes the environment like a little slice of Paris. I would highly recommend!

We came to this café on a whim for breakfast. In light of some of the prior reviews, I want to say that when I was considering ordering a spinach and goat cheese omelette, I asked if they used fresh or frozen spinach. I was told in a pleasant and courteous tone that they only use fresh ingredients. Based on that, I ordered my favorite omelet. My wife had the same. We also ordered coffees and an apple turnover to share. They gave us the apple turnover immediately. It was excellent, and all the ingredients were fresh. I don’t care if they came from Publix. The coffee was roasted in the French style, which is not my preferred style, but it was very good. The omelet was delivered about 10 minutes later. I was delighted at the taste, a far cry from the bitter-tasting dish that I had gotten the week before at Calistoga. All in all, this was a great value for our money, and we look forward to coming back. P. S. I prefer the coffee roast style from Northern Europe, such as Germany and Scandinavia, over the French style generally served in Southern Europe. My only complaint is that they did not offer Sweet and Low for the sweetener. They had raw sugar, white sugar and Splenda. I am a diabetic, so all three of those forms of sugar are unacceptable. I got enough sugar in that meal from half the turnover. I do not use Nutrasweet because of its implications for central nervous system damage.

Came here on a whim and it was delicious! Ordered a croissant sandwich and some pastries. Very simple and basic but nonetheless delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Will be coming again.

Croissant were better than most in the area, but a little overpriced for what we ordered.

The croissants make you think you are in France. Almond croissants are superior. Latte, salads and baked goods are fabulous.

I did not eat here prior to today. So I don’t know about the previous owners or food. However, today we were welcomed by smiling faces, warm hellos and delicious scents coming from the kitchen. Yves and Marie were very efficient and courteous. We had several French dishes along with croissants and pastries to go. The ham and cheese croissant with bechamel sauce was divine. The croissants are so flaky and moist. I will absolutely be returning. It’s between stein mart and some home store on the corner. The gelato next door at Cecibonne is yummy too.

now that i have received a nasty and totally incorrect letter from the famous Pierre which confirms my original contention that he is rude, i will confirm my original estimation of the place… that the food is mediocre and the owner is indeed rude, not to mention cheap when it comes to drink refills… a big money maker for restaurants. Instead of taking criticism of his food and service to better his place, he did nothing but engage in falsehoods and personal insults… no contrition. another reason not to go back. where are all the glowing reviews from regular customers who live in naples, and not in dallas or some other remote place and who will never be a repeat customer… the lifeblood of a restaurant.

Very good food, excellent service. If you ever wondered what a plain ham sandwich aspires to be, try a Paris Normandy.

Awesome food, friendly staff, and Pierre was very sweet and helpful. I stumbled upon this café for lunch one afternoon while visiting in Naples. I had their Paris-Normandy sandwich. It was delicious. I was flying home the next morning, so I decided I would stop for breakfast and get a sandwich to go for the flight. Pierre was very apologetic that it would take some time to prepare my breakfast croissant. He suggested I call ahead next time I have a flight to catch, and he would have my order ready. So considerate! The atmosphere took me back to a vacation my husband and I spent in Nice. Next time I visit Naples, I will be eating many meals here! Yum!

It appears you have to speak French to get any kind of service in this place. I went in for an omelet and had to wait 10 minutes to place my order as the owner spoke in French to some friends-this guy brings a whole new meaning to rude. The owner is also quite a bully. I stood next to him at Publix as he screamed at the young girl making his sandwich. Apparently it was not made like they do it in France. I would vote to send this guy back to France and get him out of Naples. He gives a bad name to French people and their already tainted culture. I’m sure he’ll be out of business soon and we won’t have to worry about it.

A real joke of an establishment, The owner Pierre is a rude, loud angry man. This store wont be in bussiness long seeing as the staff is terrible and the food is trash. They buy there French bread from Publix! My only time there I ordered a 9 $ ham sandwhich which came on Publix bread and had 2 peices of thin ham! I asked the owner why so little ham at a high price and he litterally told me f**k you! Pierre is a bad man. Dont support him

Rudeness, condescension, arrogance! These are a few of the side orders available with your morning pastry and coffee at this establishment. Witnessed the owner’s(Pierre) verbal assault upon a woman who had the temerity to politely ask that her drink be prepared a certain way, a completely reasonable request. Come here if you want pre-packaged muffins, soggy croissants, or an espresso drink made from stale coffee from the Bunn coffeepot. Truly disgusting, very immature and belligerent owner, a very bad experience.
