Porky’s is within walking distance from my mom’s house, and we have eaten here several times. Unfortunately it isn’t anything special with respect to BBQs.

Place is ridiculous. Came here with the family and ended up waiting for literally more than an 1hr and a half just for wings and burgers. Water taste like metal. Waitresses give attitude, regardless if you try to be polite. Nothing special about the food, so no idea why it took so long. And at the end, we got sick from the food. Never had a bad experience like this one at a restaurant before…

:Crickets Chirping: Where is everyone? I needed to do an update as many of my reviews are almost 2 –3 years old. Ok things have changed quite a bit during the last year many of the managers and staff moved on. And same with the regular customers. This location has the«last stand» name and the marco island location is simply called Porky’s. Thursdays are still karaōke night. On Mondays it’s closed Tuesdays two dollar bottles. They still have live music on Saturdays usually seeing Hot Country playing in the back bar. The atmosphere here is not the same since this has happened I expect more changes in the future, and hopefully for the better.

We were here on Wednesday and were quite surprised how much it had improved. We hadn’t been there in years because it was not as clean as the one in Marco. Had the rib basket for lunch and it was awesome.

Stopped in last night for dinner… this place has gone down hill. We ordered the salad bar and I had the sliced pork dinner with a side of veggies. The pork was very greasy. My husband ordered the Rib dinner and at $ 18 it was dry and overcooked. He made a comment that it was almost like eating beef jerky rather than juicy ribs that fall off the bone.

Ok so we found this place as we were driving down 39th st heading toward Crackle Barrel and thought… BBQ why not. Boy were we wrong. For starters everyone in this place stared at us as if were were aliens from another planet. The parking lot was full so to our knowledge we thought the food must be good. I ordered the chopped pork sandwich and my bf ordered the sliced pork meal. Well when our food came out his sliced pork look like it was sliced right off a deli slicer and was full of fat. My chopped pork sandwich was the same slice meat just cut up in half. There was no flavor what so ever to the bbq and even if there was it had so much fat on it you would be hard pressed to take a bite out of it. It was so nasty neither one of us finished our meal. The waitress was kind enough to comp his dinner but i still had to pay for mine. It was

Driving through from Miami to Tampa and figured I’d try this place from the good reviews. Service was kinda slow during the lunch time. Had the pork sandwich and it was okay. I’m a big fan of BBQ sauces but this one was nothing special. Cole slaw was sweet which I liked. And the sweet potato fries were a little above average. All in all, nothing I’d make a stop for again.

Came across Porky’s and thought we give it a try. Kind of a hole in the wall as far as décor. Service was decent not looking for much more than that. But the pork Sandwich was killer. Came thinly sliced with no sauce, but there was a bottle of their own sauce on the table. It was really tasty, sweet with a lil heat… just the way I like. Prices were good, 7 bucks for a huge sandwich, and 2 sides. Will go back!
