Rumba Cuban Cafe

Not well acquainted with Cuban food, last year I gave this restaurant a 4… Knew the food was good, but was it authentic? After educating myself at various restaurants during the past 13 months, I can now say /​it is outstanding, authentic, delicious Cuban food. If you know Cuban, go — you will be very happy. If you don’t know Cuban, go — it will be a great introduction for you and you will love it. If you are less adventurous try Masitas De Puerco (marinated pork) or Pollo a La Cubana (½ chicken). A great appetizer are the Ham Croquettes, and the Cuban Bread is thin and crisply grilled. An adequate wine list and homemade Sangria (served by the glass, ½ pitcher, or pitcher) are reasonable; and the tres Leches Cake is delicious. But… the Flan is amazing. A bit more custardy than usual, the texture is incredibly rich and smooth. The caramel also seems a bit darker than usual, a sharper flavor contrast. But the piece de resistance is the pile of milky coconut served on the side. OMG I wanted to buy a pint and snack on it for the next year!
This restaurant has about 12 tables, a few seats at the counter, and 3 tables on the sidewalk outside. It is in a strip mall across from a car dealer. And yet… None of that matters. Go once and you will see. We are snowbirds here for a month — and Rumba is the only restaurant we repeat!

Enjoyed one of the best Cuban meals outside of Miami that we have ever had.
Our group had Ropa Vieja, Bistec Empanazada, Pollo Cubana, Lechon Asado, Croquetas, tostones campestre and of course, mojotos.
Everything was delicious. Our server, Jorge, was fantastic. He was kind, jovial, passionate about the cuisine and talked to us about Cuba when we asked. He made fantastic recommendations and happily tolerated our attempts at speaking Spanish.

Amazing authentic cuban food! Ordered to go after we ate so we could have more for dinner. Service was excellent and friendly. I recommend getting a Mojito– so refreshing!

My son flew in on vacation, my girlfriend and I picked him up an hour away from home. We were all starving and decided on Rumba. Best decision ever made.
The owner, Jorge, and his staff were amazing, but, even better, the food was perfect!

Our waitress Jessica was sweet and professional. She and all the staff made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious !! We had the tostone chicken appetizer and we were not disappointed. It was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. The portions are big and we all took leftovers home for lunch. Yum! We will definitely be back.

Our first time to have Cuban food and it was delicious, I would highly recommend it. We were traveling and wanted to try something local.

Everything I was looking for in a Cuban lunch spot! The classic Cuban sandwich (recommended by our waiter who was also the owner) reset my expectations for what a Cuban sandwich should taste like. The owner was extremely down to earth and genuine — not boastful about owning such a great restaurant. I really appreciated the care that he took of his customers. Phenomenal job Rumba!

Amazing yet again. The owner came over and was talking to us. He was so nice. We had the yucca chips with the beef and cheese appetizer and skirt steak. It’s beyond delicious! The white sangria was pretty good as well. We love this place. Ooohhhh whatever outfit u wear prepare to get dried cleaned. The rich smell of the food stays in it!

We went to this place for a cup of coffee after dinner. The waiter looked disappointed when we «only» order coffee and desserts. Food tasted okey but really pricey. The service is lack and slow. All the waiters and waitress gathered together talking but no services. It took us FOREVER to get hot sauce and check. I did expect good food and service on this level of price.

Rumba is #1 for Cuban in Naples. I come here as I often as I can, usually for a downright good casual lunch. I yearn for the that crisp moist hmm of the first bite of my cuban sandwich… warm and juicy. I order it every time now along with the maduros as an app and a side of beans and rice topped with their special hot sauce. I also highly recommend the pulled pork with their hot sauce (you’ll have to ask for it!). At the end of my meal, I now have the ritual of sipping down the zippy Cuban coffee that will put me on my toes for the rest of the day.
One of the things that I love about this place is that everyone that works here is genuinely caring about their customers. They all smile and seem very proud of their restaurant home. It’s uplifting just to be around them.

On our last night in Naples my wife and I decided on something different for dinner. We used our social media APPs and found a wonderful Cuban restaurant in Naples called Rumba Cuban Café.
We both ordered Cuban sandwiches and a salad. We both agreed that they were the best Cuban sandwiches we had ever eaten.
The portions were bountiful and the sauces were both sweet and spicy.
The restaurant was clean. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service we received from Gina, our waitress, was excellent.

Every single dish pictured here was just amazing. Very very fresh and had a very nice taste. On top of that, the service we received was the best I’ve ever had from any establishment. I will definitely be coming back when I am in the area.

After seeing the 5 star rating I had to stroll in to see what the hype was all about. We were out around brunch time 10:30 and arrived to realize they were a lunch and dinner establishment only. Not a big deal we waited it out in the plaza and visited a local Latino grocery store in the same strip mall and had some great café con leche which fulfilled our breakfast craving.
A little background about my Cuban food knowledge: I was born in Dade county, although I did not grow up their Cuban food was very much a part of my childhood, and when it comes down to it I speak Cuban food. The interior of this place was nicely kept and in great order as they seemed ready as soon as the doors were open. The servers hustling and bustling to the quickly filling tables of the lunch crowd while Latino music played almost as if they were doing the rumba while serving their patrons.
A few glances at the menu and I searched out the lunch specials which in price range weren’t all that special in my opinion but we’re more affordable than what the rest of the menu offered. I opted for the half Cuban sandwich and black beans $ 9.99 add rice $ 1.00 and a side of (4) plantains $ 4.99. You see where I’m going with this? This is by far the most I have paid for these items so the expectations we’re high from the get go based on the price.
Our server took the opportunity to talk with us and we shared with him that we found them on Unilocal,he was very attentive in keeping our table needs met and delivered what was some very well executed Cuban food. Let’s face it if you can’t execute a Cuban sandwich the rest of what the menu offers probably follow suits, as this is typically what I order to base my first impressions on. It was well put together and had robust flavors in the pork, but it still left me seeking more for the price tag that was attached. The black beans and rice were the best I have ever had at any Cuban restaurant but again the portion not huge. I honestly think a full sandwich portion for the price paid would have left me a lot less to write about in this review. The full Cuban sandwich alone at $ 12.95 was just too much for me to even consider especially after adding sides. Again everything about it was good but just not priced for the market that this establishment resides in.

Great food and a great value.
Not what you would expect; off the beaten path and in a small strip mall.
Décor was nice and the service, excellent.
But the food. oh yes, the food was fantastic.
We started with some Croquetas de la Casa and Tamal en Hojas for appetizers, they were both flavorful and delicious the Croquetas with just the right amount of crisp!
The Ropa Vieja was an ample portion of tender, perfectly seasoned beef. absolutely my favorite part of the meal! Served with delicious sides of Yuca and Moros. yum!
We also ordered (did some sharing) and got the Roasted Pork. it was tender and packed with flavor (same sides.) it was so delicious that it was my favorite part of the meal!
As you can tell, I may be a bit conflicted. so if you are are confused about what I like best. just think about how I feel! When I go back to Rumba I’m going to have to order so many things!

First & foremost the service is outstanding. Very polite, kind, and humorous servers who made the experience very enjoyable. We tried the outstanding flounder which was tender but crusty on the outside. Hands down our favorite dish.
The roasted pork is moist and good flavor but I would have liked to have it served with a sauce as we felt something was lacking overall.
The Cuban sandwich was one of the best according to my friend. He wouldn’t even share with us! :(
Rice and beans accompanies each meal and the beans are good! It goes well with each of the dishes.
My only negative against the restaurant is that the server misled our group by saying a half pitcher of sangria wouldn’t be enough for 3 people and suggested we go for the full pitcher. He clearly was more interested in upselling & increasing the total bill as we could barely finish a pitcher. A whole glass was left behind b/​c it was too much. That didn’t leave a good impression with us.

What a pleasant surprise. This small clean restaurant is only 5 minutes from downtown & worth the drive! If you love Sangria, I dare you to find a better one on the planet. Yes! It’s that good.

Rosi, Chef Horge, and team made our experience outstanding. Rosi was professional, super friendly and offered great suggestions for food options. We had a party of 6 however the services was not compromised.
The majority of the food we had was super tasty and authentic Cuban cuisine. Our favorites were Fresh Mango Daiquiri, Sweet Plantains and Cubano Sandwich. All were packed with flavor and purely scrumptious.
It was a change of pace from the uppity restaurants located at our fancy resort. It felt like real comfort food. If I were a Naples resident the Rumba Café would be one of my favorite hot spots for sure.

Le service y est agréable et les conseils fort appréciables (en matière de yuca pochées /​frit ^^). Point négatif: le restaurant se trouve dans une petite zone commerciale et les terrasses donnent sur le parking… Bön j’avais vu sur de jolis 4×4 mais tout de même !
Mention spéciale pour les desserts. Le flan de la casa est à tomber :) vous savez ce qu’il vous reste à faire!
