Having worked in the area for a while now, this seems to be my Starbucks of choice when I have that moment to stop and enjoy a coffee and/or conversation. The service is always friendly and consistent, and the location is ideal and lives up to being at Waterside Shops catering to the natural clientele. Despite the fact that the placement isn’t as convenient as having its own standalone business with a drive-thru, they created better work flow and added plenty more tables and chairs on the inside to match the easy seating outside. It was nice to see that in the summer months, people have been occupying the tables and coming in and out constantly. In season, Waterside Shops can be tough for nabbing a parking space, so placement is not ideal when you have to sometimes walk far just to grab a coffee. Unfortunately, there is also no room to leave your car standing, as it’s right in front of a valet station and tight lanes. At no fault to the hustle and bustle of Waterside in season, the Starbucks high standard seems to always be met at this location.

Small but gets to the point. Seating is very limited inside, lots of outdoor seating under umbrellas. Great people watcher location, in the beautiful, classy Waterside Shops.

I stopped into this Sbux twice to get drinks with my parents. Both times the register staff was friendly and attentive. They helped my parents get whatever they wanted(they are not avid SBux drinkers) and made a little conversation which was nice. One of the times I ordered a tall iced mocha and was presented with an iced caramel latte. The barista asked if I wanted whipped cream on it, which I did not because that was not what I ordered. I didn’t get a good vibe when she turned around, poured it down the drain and proceeded to make my order. When I got my coffee, she said«here you go» — no apologies, no excuses. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

I’m a pilot and have visited many Starbucks all over the country. This has to be one the worst I’ve been to in terms of customer service and drink quality. The staff was rude, and after a very long wait for a Mocha I was late for a breakfast meeting. Arriving at the meeting I discovered the drink was actually a hot chocolate, not mocha. It was labeled as a mocha and verbally presented as such, but actually a hot chocolate with no coffee in it whatsoever. I returned to the shop after the meeting with my half finished drink and asked for my money back. The staff was again rude and tried to refuse the refund because I had drank half of it(thinking I would hit coffee but never did). They finally changed their mind and refunded the money, rudely, never apologizing for their error. Never again will I visit this store. Train your freakin baristas and take a course on customer service! Previous Starbucks where my drink is messed up(rare but it happens, I understand) have promptly apologized, made me a new drink and given me a coupon for a free future drink… defintely not the case here…
