Consistently delicious wild caught fish with very good sides. One of our favorite local spots to eat lunch or dinner. They also take reservations.

Delicious food,…so much to choose from and great service! Friends visiting from out-of-town wanted to eat at a local seafood restaurant. They loved Swan River!

We love this place for the outstanding raw clams and oysters! Usually when we land we, we go straight to the restaurant for a dozen clams before heading home to unpack! The food is not fancy, just super fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious. I just took friends there and we had steamer clams, the smoked fish dip, the tomato mozz salad and of course our raw clams. All excellent! Highly recommend the apple pie dessert. It is amazing. Had lobster last visit, perfectly cooked and delicious! Fish market attached is also excellent.

I Unilocaled it. I travel all over Florida and have had great seafood in many places. I ‘m happy to add Swan River Seafood to my top list. I ordered the fresh blackened Red Snapper. Starting with a micro brew and a small Ceasar salad which had rather ok dressing, it needed a bit of zip… so I was feeling good until the Red Snapper appeared. OMG it tasted great! First look was very appealing and well presented, perfect moist and eaten with just a fork. The blacken season is on the top of the spicy scale so be prepared. I took my first bite and closed my eyes and every care I had that day melted away… yes that good. I’ll be back.

Another Naples strip shopping center restaurant — in fact there are 2 seafood restaurants in this shopping center! A great thing about Swan is that it is ½ seafood market, ½ restaurant — so you can dine in and then take out your favorites for later. We were seated immediately(late lunch) and service was prompt. Really liked the menu — an actual iPad. If you tapped the items you were interested in, the screen would flip to show you a picture of what your meal will look like — made ordering fun and easy.(Also insured you remembered to add /delete sauces, l-t-m, etc.) Negatives first — crab cake. I am from Maryland, and this is not a Maryland crab cake. It doesn’t have a lot of filler, but that doesn’t make it a Maryland crab cake. Many people would like it, but at $ 15 it should’ve been larger and not look like scalloped potatoes. Second negative was Sangria — good taste, but not a particularly generous pour. Otherwise, very good meal. House salad was fresh and chilled. Hubs ordered fish and chips, hot and tasty. I ordered clam strips and they were Lightly tossed in cornmeal, then crisply fried. My side was chunky applesauce(which lots of restaurants have 66’d, and I don’t know why, it is a great accompaniment for seafood) which was chilled and flavorful. Meals were a nice size serving for the price, service was professional and friendly. We would return.

Just a visitor to Naples, so this week’s visit to Swan River Seafood was only my second dinner experience there. Quite memorable, and Hillary(our waitress) helped make it so. She’s friendly, attentive, answered questions and made helpful suggestions. She even tied my sister’s lobster bib! Yes, we had a lobster feast, but we started with a shared appetizer of Stone Crab claws, cold, with mustard wasabi sauce. First time I’d had them, and they were sweet, with the sauce complementing them very well. Each of us had a 2.5 lb. lobster, perfectly steamed. This is something not always the case, and there’s little worse than tough, overcooked lobster. Sides aren’t terribly important when you’re enjoying such a primal experience, but we both had pickled beets, and I tried the garlic smashed potatoes. They were good, but I didn’t/couldn’t do them justice… I was busy elsewhere. A nice glass of Pinot Grigio went down easy between bouts of dunking lobster in butter. Don’t be put off by its strip mall exterior; dress casual, make a reservation, and ask for Hillary!

This review is for the fish market at Swan River. It’s evident the owners take great pride in their products and service. Fresh and good selection of seafood at reasonable prices makes this a number 1 spot for the home chef.

I was at the beach for New Year Eve and came after the fireworks to Swan River. I wanted a sea food tower. I came with NO reservation. The restaurant was almost full and I have been very well welcomed by the staff. I have been seated at the bar and ask for a ‘sea tower’; nobody understood what I was asking but they made an effort and show me the menu to ask if I would like a ‘raw tower’(I was close…). I took this small sea food platter of 6 clams raw and 6 oysters. They were really really fresh. I enjoyed it and it was not at all expensive. The white wine was really good. The staff was FAST. The service perfect. Not smiling all the time but just effective and fast. Loved it. Great experience. I will come back with my miss.

For my last night of vacation last week I came here with my mom and girlfriend for dinner as I had been craving some oysters and fish(as a desert dweller I don’t get much fresh stuff). To start my oysters were really good they weren’t sandy or very briny but were sweet and flavorful. These were on the small-medium side which is about what I want in my oysters. For dinner I did the crab cake and swordfish combo. While the swordfish was just a tiny bit over done it was still tasty and paired well with the Cajun sauce that accompanied the plate. The crab cake was actually a different take on crab cakes as it was mostly just crab without any filler and some seasoning. I really liked it and again the cajun sauce was great. I also got the red potatoes that well cooked and flavorful without being overly buttered or seasoned. My girlfriend got the lobster salad roll and I was really impressed with how much meat was on there. It looked to me like it had a bit more mayo than I like on my lobster rolls she loved it. My mom had the chowder and something else but enjoyed them both. The ambiance is kind of a fisherman’s wharf type setting very casual and easy going. This isn’t where you go for a fancy night on the town but for a dinner when you want some good seafood and a relaxed atmosphere. Compared to another experience we had at another seafood restaurant in the area where it was a total disappointment Swan River exceeded expectations and was much more reasonably priced as well.

Sat for 20 minutes and left. No waitress no water not even a «I’ll be right with you». Prices online are WAY cheaper than on the menu. Sea bass $ 18.99 online $ 30.99 on menu. All other fresh fish same price difference. We were going to give it a try despite this but when you are ignored for 20 minutes with 3 wait staff chatting to bartenders that’s too much for me. Our party of 4 will dine elsewhere. USS Nemo next door was packed. Hmm…

I was dying to get to this place must say great service friendly bartender. I tried the lobster roll and came to terms with I really don’t care for cold lobster as much as I thought I did. Putting that aside I’m sure it was prepared correctly needed a little bit more seasoning in my opinion but the creamed spinach was excellent I would probably return to this place just try something different on the dinner menu.

I really have to take back my prior, local-yokel rant bemoaning the lack of Florida fish at this restaurant. Florida waters are a calm bathtub compared to the sometimes violent, cold water home of fish coming to table here. That makes for a different taste, a whole other sensibility about how fish are farmed or caught, and a proud silence on the merits of Maine & points north. My friend had plump shrimp on angel hair pasta. I chose blackened salmon, even though the sole was similarly tempting. Though we didn’t order it, the north/south chowder was intriguing. It’s lovingly pictured on the menu’s iPad screen as a ying yang shaped serving of white clam chowder spooned into a bowl next to rosey conch chowder.

So, i don’t know why this one hasn’t received better reviews or more traffic than the Randy’s place down the street. We were visiting Naples for a few days and wanted to try out different seafood places. The first night we went to Randy’s and was thoroughly disappointed. Though it is a seafood market, it didn’t seem too… fresh. Anyway, Swan river is also a seafood market and they note whether the fish on the menu is wild or farmed. I really appreciated that. I like to know where my food comes from and how sustainable they are. I try to stay away from farm raised seafood — and i didn’t have to guess anything. it was right on the menu which is on an ipad. We ordered oysters and clam chowder. I am allergic to shellfish, so i stayed away, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed them. They were fresh and as other reviewers have said about the chowder(N/S chowder), it is THAT good. I ordered calamari and my husband ordered grilled sword fish. The mashed potatoes were good — buttery and chunky. The honey mustard salad dressing was very mustard-y and tasted homemade not out of a bottle. I needed to watch my mercury intake, so i stayed away from fish but the calamari was good — not greasy, lightly battered and crispy. We didn’t drink that night and the check came out to be around 100. Not bad for the amount of food we had.

The host could’ve bee more attentive, but Hillary was phenomenal. Very attentive and friendly. Food delivery was swift despite not having ordered an appetizer. The pasta was well sauced and not overly oily. The shrimp were very fresh — a benefit of being part of a seafood market. Our leftovers were packaged at the table by Hillary which was much appreciated after too many times of having to do it ourselves.

I have been here a couple times in the past and it has always been great service and amazing food. BUT! This time we had Ben from Chicago as our waiter and it made the difference. He was absolutely phenomenal in both his suggestions and service. It was clear he has been in the business for a long time and knew what he was talking about. The biggest tip I can give anyone looking to have lunch or dinner here is REQUESTBEN. I also should add that the new electronic menus are both innovative and easy to you, definitely a plus. That being said, the food this time and all the other times in the past has been and was awesome. The immense freshness of the seafood that the kitchen is able to crank out is always astonishing to me. I understand the prices are relatively high but for the quality and even quantity of food you get I have no regrets for the amount you pay for a dinner. The saying«you get what you pay for» has never been so true when it comes to the food at this place. A++ and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for some of the freshest and tastiest seafood in Naples! And don’t forget to request Ben!

The name«Swan River» is supposed to make you float away on the Danube or somewhere light and delicate, but the name brings you into a casual upper east coast — slap a fish on a plate and call it a day. I’m slightly exaggerating, but the premise is to reiterate that it’s not too much of a fancy place like next door. The front entrance does not go directly into the restaurant. You are greeted not by a hostess, but a diverse array of seafood in which you can purchase some fresh fish and such afterward. I have been here a small handful of times for lunch and have had satisfactory experiences. When my husband and I decided to check this place for the first time together, we went in for lunch so I can gain fresh perspective. I ordered a smoked salmon panini with a side of creamed spinach. The panini had a certain heaviness to it, but I enjoyed the creamed spinach on the recommendation of the waitress. Also, as I recall, they had a good chowder.(Am I really a panini snob now???) We noticed that we came on a day where they started to implement their new iPad menu. The intent of interaction was good; in the sense that you can read about each menu item and see a picture of the items. However, the psychological benefits seem to be askew when you want to peruse the menu in its entirety when trying to discover new things. It’s a smedium(yes, small/medium) restaurant with a few number of iPads, so for the people who do not want to have the techy interaction can opt for a hard copy menu. My husband asked questions to see if it had opportunities to expand their capabilities, and they were a little on the defensive about it all. Perhaps, it was because they didn’t know much more about their technology than the input of menu copy. Valiant effort; however, I think there could be more interaction with the menu. With that said, this seems to be a good place for scrod and chips or any other fried accompaniment and casual intimate conversations, so I’m not knocking it entirely. This girl just wants to be wowed for its higher pricepoint and experience a little more friendly customer service.
