Tried the stuffed shells & chicken parm tonight. Sad to say, the garlic that was on the bread was the powder kind– rather than real garlic & it left a dusty taste in your mouth. The pasta dishes were crazy salty. After a few bites, I gave up and let my bf try to eat the rest, even for him, it was just too salty. I love the pizza here and will definitely return for that, but no more pasta dishes for us.

Great pizza! Ignore the bad reviews. The staff is fast and friendly. Pizza is delicious! I highly recommend this pizza place to anyone who loves traditional New York style pizza.

Pizza here is decent. The reason for the 1 star review is the owner, or at least whom I assume is the owner. The guy that’s always at the counter is not friendly and out right rude. Will not return based solely on the lack of friendly customer service.

I can’t tell you if the guy who made my pizza was Italian, and for that matter, whether pizza is really Italian or not is open to speculation as well. I can tell you that this pizza was very good. The crust was crisp, sauce was fresh and lots of cheese. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely go back to Vesuvio’s again.

I really enjoy this Family owned pizza place. Top quality ingredients, and super fresh! I’m lucky to live close by. This guy knows how to make some quality ‘zza, from dough to sauce to toppings. Great subs, as well!

Great pizza! Visiting for the week and happened to come across while searching for dinner. Great ingredients and flavor, very fresh. Really recommend the Vesuvio’s Special or the Margarita

In town for the week, and it hit us one night that pizza might fit the bill for dinner. It’s really hard to judge pizza, even by photographs, so you really need to talk to friends to get an idea of what’s out there. Good thing for us, a friend knew immediately where to send us: Vesuvio’s. All I can say is, holy cow! What a FANTASTIC pizza. To feed the four of us, we ordered the 18″ Vesuvio Special, which is topped with pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers and some intoxicatingly fragrant blend of herbs and spices. It was CRAZYGOOD! Thin crust with soft, puffy edges, adorned with copious amounts of ingredients. Don’t think I’ll want to eat pizza anywhere else now!

Vesuvio’s gets five stars as I would give an A for effort. I’ve lived in Naples for 10 years and just last week discovered his hidden gem, located next to Sushi Thai on 103rd Ave in North Naples. A friend purchased their 28″ monster pizza and posted it on her Facebook. It’s size intrigued me. It’s like, circus big. So I called to order this monstrosity(as another reviewer called it) and showed up 20 minutes later to witness this steamy cheese pie being boxed up. The owner asked if I wanted it cut into squares or pie slices. Rectangular pie slices is the only way to eat a pizza, IMHO. I was super hungry and walking into this mom n pop pizzeria and seeing my pizza fresh from the oven elicited happy feelings. I’m a big fan of the random bubbles that sometime appear atop the crust. This pizza had at least 6 good bubbles in the body of the pie and some on the crust handle. I was soooo happy. The owner slanted the box to get it out the door and it barely fitting my trunk. I opened the box and had to devour a piece on the spot, tailgate style, by myself in the parking lot. It hit the spot and filled me up, the entire jumbo slice … down the hatch. I looked down and wondered what I was going to do with the remaining 15 slices. This is the biggest pizza I’ve ever seen, purchased and been responsible for. And it was only $ 33. A deal in my book. I ended up sharing the lot of it and freezing 2 slices for later. Here’s the thing, the crust is thick-ish. Not Chicago style bloat-you-up crust, but just a heavy thick chewy crust that is very substantial. My recommendation is for them to thin out the crust just a bit so as not to be so, doughy. My stomach was super full the rest of the night(after eating one more monster slice, my fault. So, in summary, the biggest pizza in town. Tomatoes sauce tastes nice and plenty of cheese. Buy one 28″ & have a pizza party. This size pizza can fill at least 8 adults!

Pizza was great! Also enjoyed the garlic knots(LOTS of fresh garlic!). We also had the antipasto salad, which fed 4 adults a very solid appetizer. Small dining room but it was okay because most of the business while we are there was carry out. Better pizza and better price than the other NY pizzeria less than a mile away.

Had the 28″. Cheese golden brown toppings covered whole pie. Taste divine! Would definitely go back for more pizza.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while now based on the reviews. I am all for supporting small family owned businesses but this place lacks a few things. Pizza was sub par with nothing really exciting about the taste or dough. Just felt like a very strange environment all together between the service and the people eating there.

My husband loves pizza and we thought we would give it a try. Pizza was excellent… Service was AWFUL! Yes we got there an hour before closing(even left the restaurant 10 minutes before they closed) but the owner was rude and had an attitude. He ruined our dinner and I would think twice before going back.

Holy moly… the moon hit my eye with a monstrous pizza pie last night. The hubster had a craving for pizza and salad, so to the Unilocal gods he went. We were traveling on 41, and I suggested Leoni’s and the Crust, but Unilocal proved us wrong. Vesuvio’s? 5 stars, what?! Never heard ot it. This beautiful gem was tucked away in the Sushi Thai plaza straight in the heart of Naples Park. We started off with an antipasto salad and shared between the three of us. Splitting it into three was pretty much an entrée salad for all of us. It screamed MANSALAD! The neanderthal came out because there was such a healthy portion of meats and cheese. We then had a large special pizza which had mushrooms, peppers, sausage, banana peppers and olives. Each piece was massive, but had that beautiful thin NY style thin crust that makes this unfolder raise her white flag and fold it and own it. The crust was airy and crispy but still had that bite and chew to it. The toppings were sliced thin and cooked well enough to not have everything slide off the pizza. I also would love to go back and try their canolis when I have enough room in my stomach. This pizza place is rather small with a few tables and a couple of tables outside. I’m just glad it wasn’t busy inside so we could enjoy our pizza coming right out of the oven. It definitely had a family vibe to it, and you can tell that some of the family pride rang through in the pizza. It’s worth checking it out. How about today? It’s Small Business Saturday. I wish I could go back today, but I already had leftovers for breakfast. Oh yeah…

Crazy delicious pizza, provided by smiling and friendly people! Support this small business instead of the chains. Not only will you feel good about your purchase, your stomach and tastebuds will thank you. PS — the cheese combo on the plain cheese pizza is heaven!

My boyfriend and I were in town for 2 days and our cruise got cancelled and we needed a fast meal to take back to our hotel, and i looked up pizza online in naples, Vesuvios was the best reviewed in naples for pizza that wasn’t a national chain. We only waited about 10 or 15 min even though they told us 20, pizza was great, we also got garlic knots which were great also. All around we will def. visit again when we come back to naples.

I’ve lived naples my whole life and never have I had italian food outside my home that I enjoyed. This place is tucked in a little strip mall near sushi thai. Local family owned. Delicious! Can’t wait till season to try the cannoli!

I consider myself to be somewhat of a pizza connoisseur. Originating from New York and New Jersey, I have experienced some of the best of the best regarding pizza. Recently indulging in the 28″ pizza, I instantly was in love. Not only was the pizza huge, but it was delicious! Defiantly worth trying and well worth the 30 dollars, not to mention it’s quite an attention grabber and crowd pleaser. Can’t wait to get a pie again :)

My dad and I(and whole family for that matter) love this place. We would rather support a small local business then any other. The Pizza is fantastic and the Vesuvio’s Special sub is super good. You can’t get a better deal for lunch and its beyond me why they aren’t packed every single day. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
