Loretta is a WONDERFUL, incredibly talented florist. I came to her several months before our big day with a bunch of unique ideas for our winter wedding, including DIY vases and a whole vision for centerpieces. I came back in a second time, and she actually created a sample table centerpiece for me to see! She consistently communicated with me, my mom, and even my maid of honor from the first consultation up until the morning of the wedding. She was on board for anything I wanted to do, and she kept true to our vision in every way. She incorporated pieces of my dress, suggested flowers and greens that would help the price, and took last minute requests in stride. Our personal flowers were gorgeous — matching in theme but unique in their own way — and they arrived on time to the church. Our centerpieces at the venue was set-​up meticulously; we received countless compliments. And the price? PERFECT. Other vendors wanted to charge so much more, and Loretta knew how to keep the plan within my budget. I am so grateful to have worked with her, and I will be going to Amaranth for any of my flower needs again!

Loretta at Amaranth Florist was great to work with as my wedding florist. I do not live in the Philadelphia area and she was more than willing to work with me via e-​mail to ensure that my wedding flowers were perfect. And the flowers were absolutely beautiful! She is also very reasonably priced, especially for being in the Philadelphia area. I would highly recommend Amaranth Florist to other brides or anyone looking for beautiful flowers. A great buying experience. I picked this place because it was near my mom’s office, and I wanted flowers delivered there. They were friendly and courteous on the phone. When I found out my mom wasn’t going to be at work that day, they quickly arranged to deliver to her home a half hour away. The arrangement was stunning. I highly recommend.

Great, no, the best florist. Easy to order, solid, easy-​to-​navigate, website, and did I mention, friendly, helpful, and responsive. Highly recommended, I’ll be using them again.

After having difficulty with Flower Express who refused to work within my price range (~$ 50) on a simple birthday bouquet for my sister, I was so lucky to find Amaranth. Loretta was incredibly friendly and helpful on the phone, and I really appreciated how easy it was to order exactly what I’d hoped for!

I used Amaranth for my wedding flowers. Loretta was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible in keeping with my budget and my preferences in the design. I was able to speak to her about the price for each item and I was able to pick the exact flowers I wanted. She told me what flowers were in season, which ones would be pretty and affordable during that time, etc. They don’t try to up-​sell you. I wish she could have offered more designs but I could have just come off as picky and she could have thought I knew what I was doing. They were on time and very professional.

I have been a customer of Amaranth for about a year as my boss orders flowers for delivery frequently for business related contacts. I’ve had excellent experiences with the staff and have received many compliments on the flowers, but I didn’t get the chance to see a finished bouquet until today. Absolutely stunning! I like this place. I think they are great florists and everything I’ve see is beautiful. For everyone who may have had a negative experience I’m very sure far more are pleased and very happy when they get their flowers. Stuff I’ve seem them do is lovely.

My daughter was in tears after we picked up her wedding bouquet. It was all the wrong colors and wilted. We had purchased a trial bouquet a month earlier which was stunning. What a disappointment. Our $ was refunded but she had no flowers. The staff could have cared less and although I asked to have the owner call me she never bothered. I guess we were too small thus unimportant! I will never go back.

The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because I’ve only been to the Philly area once and I haven’t seen the product first hand. They have amazing service and the special girl I sent flowers to was very pleased. I placed my order on Black Friday and it was delivered within 3hours. I even messed up and gave them the wrong address but they still made sure to deliver the flowers to the address with the right name!

I don’t recommend this florist at all. The proprietor talked me into white roses by insisting that she could get pure white. I cared mostly about color and was willing to go with daisies in order to get the white look, since I know many «white» roses are more of a cream color. What arrived on my wedding day was cream-​colored roses. The point isn’t that cream-​colored roses are terrible if that’s what you like, but that something other than what I ordered arrived on this incredibly important day, with no apology or explanation. I am sure her initial claim was only in hopes of getting me to pay for the higher-​cost flowers; daisies would have been less money.
Avoid this place.
Edit: The reason for there being no record of me at Amaranth Florist is that, like many, i do not use my real name on this site. I find it funny that the owner thinks my name might really be «Lime Lady» or «Dame Vegan.» My account of this experience is accurate. I was promised white roses, and got cream/​off-​white roses. As always, I strive to give an accurate account of my dealings with businesses, and in this case, the color really was off.
