Seriously some of the best macaroons I’ve ever had. My boyfriend surprised me with them when I came to visit him in Philly and they were glorious. They don’t have a store front at the moment but if you contact them they are super friendly and will work with you on you French confectionary needs.

Wonderful Macarons! My search to find good authentic Macaron lead me to Au Fournil, and I was extremely happy with them. The owner was very helpful, very friendly, threw in a few extra of a limited temporary flavor just to try. A pleasure to deal with, and the Macaron were amazing. I received feedback of «this is the best Lemon confection I’ve ever had.» Owner takes customer service to heart. When Unilocal hid this because I’m an infrequent reviewer, he personally reached out to make sure I was happy with the product and service. I was! Highly recommended.

Everything I’ve had from Au Fornil has been downright delicious. This place makes the best macaron I have ever eaten — all of the flavors are are delicious and they are always incredibly fresh. The chocolate and pistachio are to die for. I recently tried a danish and it was also so fresh and soft and flavorful.
Philly Java Co. sells the macarons. There is a new café at 7 and Walnut that also has a wide selection.
I’m not sure if they sell any retail pastries but if I ever find myself in Narberth during business hours I plan on finding out!

Volo Coffee in Manayunk — they have the cheese croissants… hard to find elsewhere

Quite good pastries. Both Hub Bub, at 39th and Spruce and OCF in Fairmount carry their pastries.

Gia Pronto in Philadelphia is one of the sandwich shop that carries Au Fournil yummies. I can attest to the delicious macaroons and pain au chocolat. Always consistent in quality.
