On 11÷20÷15, I visited ‘A Christmas to Remember’ at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua NH. Since I saw no signs prohibiting holding the merchandise, in my hands, to examine it(which consumers are permitted to do in most stores), I picked up an item to admire it and possibly purchase it and was immediately chastised, rather rudely, by a woman who identified herself as the store manager. I explained that I saw no signs prohibiting picking up and examining the merchandise and was told, by her, that I my «common sense» should have kept me from picking up the item. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that almost all the stores in Nashua allow you to hold the merchandise in your hands and examine it prior to purchase. This store manager persisted in her unprofessional behavior and went so far to have a security guard escort me out of the store. I don’t believe I acted unreasonably, but it’s possible that dislike for my ethnicity(I’m half white and half Asian) might be the motivation behind her behavior. I will not be doing any business with ‘A Christmas to Remember’ and urge everyone else to follow suit. There is no excuse for behavior that is below the standards of common business practice and common courtesy.
