Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in the Merrimack Valley. I’m giving this 5 stars even though they only serve limited times and don’t have dine in seating. If you need a quick, delicious lunch in the north side of Nashua this is your spot. They also cater and I’m sure that’s fantastic as well. My favorite here is the okra, which is served every Thursday.

One of the best stocked Indian grocery stores in NH — found quite a few spices and dals that were not available at other places. It was much cheaper than the other Indian grocery stores in the area. The owners are warm and friendly.

Not much to add to the many other reviews. I just wanted to take the time to note my appreciation of the great food, made to order, and the friendly woman who helped me figure out what was what. I split an order of Saag Paneer, and it was creamy, spicy and excellent. I also split two of the Gulab Jabun(though, I had the ones not in syrup, so they might have had a different name), and they beat American doughnuts, hands down. I can’t wait to go back and try a bread basket, and some Dosa!

I just went to the market front of this establishment, didn’t try the cooked food. There is a huge selection of beans/lentils/legumes/rice. That’s probably like half of the store. Basically everything here comes in normal sizes as well as bulk. Good prices, very friendly & helpful owner(i asked her what something was & she went out back & got some for me to taste so i could decide if i wanted to buy it). They have a pretty good variety of foods(ready to eat meals that are microwaveable, dairy, meats, grains, spices, desserts, sauces, etc) & even have a few things like soaps, rose water, bindis. Small store, but overall a good find.

If you’re looking for delicious homemade Indian food in Nashua, Food and Fashion is where to go. I typically get either the Vada Pav or the Aloo Gobi, both of which are spicy and delicious. The service is great. The place is owned by a nice Indian family whose matriarch is the primary chef. She cooks everything from scratch, which means that you’ll have to wait anywhere from 15 – 45 minutes before your food is ready. This is not fast food by any means, and I’ll take it!(I’d rather have tasty, fresh food and wait a little longer than have mediocre buffet food«fresh» from the freezer any day.) F&F is 100% vegetarian friendly as they serve no meat whatsoever, and for the most part is also vegan friendly. Unlike me, my boyfriend is not a vegetarian, but he has said numerous times that he’s not missing anything when he eats at F&F. The prices are fantastic as well, especially since the meals usually feed me for 2 – 3 days, depending on how hungry I am(not the Vada Pav or similar items, but the curries definitely). But even if it only feeds you for one meal, the prices are great. The only downfall is that you have to spend a minimum of $ 10.00 if you want to use a debit or credit card, but that’s not a big deal usually. *WARNING! If you are not used to spicy Indian food, make sure to tell them! I learned the hard way that spicy Mexican food is NOT the same kind of heat as spicy Indian! :) In addition to home-cooked food, F&F offers a variety of grocery items, such as bulk spices, frozen meals, drinks, rice, and a lot more. And as they are called Food and *Fashion*, they also sell a collection of beautifully hand-made saris… and they also offer saris to-order. Overall Food and Fashion of India is a great place to go if you like Indian food, but also if you’d like to try it for the first time. Around the Nashua area there are mostly«fast food» or chains like India Palace, which don’t offer the best idea of how Indian food should taste, so I highly suggest checking out Food and Fashion.

I love this place, it’s like real home made food that I don’t have to make. It’s take out only and they only do 1 order at a time so make sure you call and see how long the wait is. The food is delish! I love it, ask for the special of the day. My go to take out place when the wait isn’t long!

The Indian lady at the counter was a sweetheart. She helped us select a variety of Indian sweets and was very helpful with all of our purchases. We were able to purchase several interesting items like popped sorghum and they had the usual grocery items you need for your Indian food night.

Very authentic! Some dishes were spicier then expected. Guys were’t very excited about the all vegeterian menu, but food was good overall. Recommend calling ahead though as it took a long time to get our takeout ready.

When you’re traveling for business this is the kind of spot you dream about finding on the road. Food was delicious. I ordered dinner to go and may haven over done it(the portions were large). So delicious and such a treat to meet the owner who I think definitely stayed late to prepare half the menu for me(at about 8:30 on a Tuesday). Added bonus: their selection of British chocolate and McVitte biscuits!

I love this place… It is a little hole in the wall and if you did not know that it existed you would walk right by it. However if you look past the décor the FOOD is out of this world. They make everything fresh… So you have to call in advance… But let me tell you… You will not be disappointed. The Food is fantastic and the people who run the place are wonderful. So weather you are wanting something spicy to warm up a cold night, or take it with you to the movies or bowling(both I have done) then this is the place for you.

Great place for vegetarian Indian dishes. I called ahead(20 mins) and got the Vegetarian Thali. A great deal for $ 15(2 vegetable dishes, roti bread, samosa, raita, rics and soup). Easily enough for 2 meals. Fresh and tasty.

What a gem. I was in New Hampshire on business for over a month and the prospect of living in a less than vegetarian-friendly place wasn’t exciting, but Food & Fashion of India was my savior. I cringed as I typed«Vegetarian» near Nashau, but thankfuly Unilocal sent me here(and it’s only a mile from our production office). On my first of many visits, I had an amazing lunch secial(2 dishes and white rice with raita) and threw in some samosas and plain lassi. While I wasn’t expecting a $ 12 bill for lunch up here, it was well worth it. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you are daring, then you’ll ask for your dish served spicy because they actually make it hot unlike many restaurants that think Americans can’t handle the heat… Be aware that all the food is cooked to order, so don’t come in expecting fast food. I promise it is worth the wait though!

This place looks a bit like a bodega. It’s untidy, dingy and smells a bit off. There’s one plastic table and some patrons come in just for lotto tickets. If I hadn’t had such good luck at these types of places in the past, I might have just walked out. A little nervous, we decided to eat, the food is spectacular. I’ve been a few times and I’ve had great luck getting whatever the owner(I assume, she is always there) tells me to. The owner usually has two or three dishes made up for quick ordering and other orders take a bit longer. It doesn’t really matter though because everything I’ve had is great. This place is ENTIRELYVEGETARIAN, so if meat is something that you require… go somewhere else. In closing, if you are ready for great(vegetarian) Indian food and are not afraid of an odd, cramped environment got to go to this spot. Don’t worry if the open sign isn’t on durring the day, just go in.

I had went to another store and happened to park in front of it. I saw the sign for cooking classes so I decided to go in and ask for information. We started talking and the smells from her kitchen were great so I went to go and get my family and we ate there for lunch. I have been a fan of Indian Palace for years now and her food changed my mind. Also they are vegetarian as well so if you are vegetarian and love Indian food you gotta come here. I have to say they are the best Indian food in the area now. I wish I had seen this hidden jewel a while back. I will be going for cooking classes next month and will be there for lunch and dinner again for sure!

Been a long time since I’ve written a review — and this one is my first one after a long Unilocal hiatus. We went to this place on Saturday 12th after getting a recommendation from a trusted source. I wasn’t so sure when we walked in but then we met the owner and her husband and looked at the menu. Everything looked appetizingly delish and our eyes were big with all the choice. We settled on the Navratan Korma and the Okra that the owner suggested. We also ordered a roti and got a puffed rice appetizer that was fingerlicking good! We also ended up getting a bunch of grocery items that are difficult to find anywhere else. We came home with a lot of stuff and some great advice from the owner on how to cook these Indian delights. By the way, they give cooking classes there as well and if you have any questions about ingredients and what goes with what the owners are so very helpful. I also love the fact that for a little strip mall restaurant, they offer healthy vegetarian/vegan food. I’ve found my new fave food place in Nashua~! Highly Recommended! Oh also the desserts are so delectable – please try these when you go — you will taste heaven in your mouth.

Although they do not have the fluff in decorations that your typical Indian food establishment has, the food FAR surpassed any I’ve had to date and I’ve tried them all over the USA! I reluctantly tried the place out the other night on the recommendation of a friend, and boy was I surprised! I went easy on the order as I did not know what to expect. I ordered Vegetable Byrani(American hot). It was home made and came with fresh raita and a small mango Lassi. It was so good I went back today and picked up lunch on my day off! Sometimes the little hole in the walls are the best!!!

The woman who runs this place IS a god-send, as Leisha B. mentioned(my sister). She not only made her blouse, but also did so for 2 other members of my wedding party. We had issues on missing fabric on all 3, and she went and picked up/found fabric that matched perfectly where we needed it for the blouses and petticoats. We received so many compliments from my new in-laws, and I really have this place to thank for so much of it… from the clothing, to the mehndi by Brianne. As a newly married woman, every time I visit a family member’s home for the first time, I am given a new sari(3 to-date), and I am waiting to have all the blouses made when I go back home to visit, because I want to give this woman the business. She did specially make jelebi for me for my dad for this past father’s day, which was very cool of her(my dad loves jelebi, and it is ONLY available by special order, as the way it has to be prepared). My husband sampled some vegetable samosa’s once while we were in there prior to the wedding, and he loved them(and, of course, he’s Indian). Every time I go in, the store becomes more put together. They’ve added racks and cases, so it’s really coming together. It’s a family-run business, so they’ve been very hard at work to pull it all together, & they come in early to do food prep.

Decided to give the rather curiously titled«Food & Fashion of India» on Amherst Street a try. Set in a strip mall with a Supercuts, 98 Chinese Restaurant, Thon Khao Thai restuarant, and Cuccina Italiana. The vibe on the inside feels like you’re in someone’s basement. There are a few display cabinets set up with Indian objects, and a disorganized sewing station set up in the front. Cardboard boxes of take-out containers are stuffed on top of all of the drink coolers. Now, as for the food — not very appealing. I’ve had better Indian food in a mall food court or even from a frozen dinner. They clearly didn’t make our food fresh — I deduce this from two things: 1. Completely ignored any request for spice level. 2. They pulled the Aloo Gobi out of a large plastic bin and reheated it in a microwave while I waited. Also wasn’t pleased to be told my order would be ready in 20 minutes, then when I get there I had to sit and wait another 10 because they hadn’t started to make part of the order. What we got: — vegetable appetizer. Probably would’ve been tasty had it been fresh — let fried food sit in a styrofoam container for 10 minutes while you wait for everythign else to cook and it deteriorates. — vegetable biryani. Nothing special here, rice was a little on the dry side like it had been sitting for a while. — aloo gobi — limp, lifeless, mushy cauliflower. not very appealing. If you’re considering stopping in for Indian food, just drive the extra 3 minutes down the road to India Palace…
