Lush

Love the products.
But the workers… I can see them from a mile away just waiting for their prey (me) to walk in. I get followed, asked questions, given suggestions… I get you have to make your sales but please stop your current marketing plan. It’s not woking– it actually scares me off. They watch every. Product. I. Pick. Up. And comment on it. I have now learned to pick up my ocean salt and bail. I’d love to look at the products but i can’t be followed and informed about every one of them — it says it on the container. You could sell this stuff in a kiosk and you’d make so much more money off of me.

I’ll make this short (ish. maybe) and sweet since having my phone in the bath tub is not kosher, and I need to get back to reading Amy Poehler’s reasons why Amy Poehler is a goddess.
Lush is the only store that I feel totally welcome in at the mall, especially one so small. The ladies there are super bubbly, friendly, and the kind of people I could see myself being friends with (blue hair girl, you da best). They have a passion for their products and know them inside out, and are experts at pointing you in the right direction. They’re out to make sales, of course, but they don’t pressure you into it. They genuinely want to find you things you will love. The Lush products sell themselves.
Rose Bombshell bath bomb is a must have. I know the bath bombs aren’t the cheapest things in the world for something you’ll use once, but I’ve tried bath products from far and wide (thanks, Etsy) and yet I keep coming back to Lush. My only issue with the company is that my husband and I live in Finland and we can’t the products as readily.
Thanks for making my shopping experience pleasant as always and I’ll be sure to stock up before we fly back to Europe!

This Lush store opened within the past few months, according to my friends. I finally went in this past week, and I was not disappointed. I have friends who swear by their products, and one who often posts pictures of her «bath bombs». Well, it was time for me to get one of my own, and to see what the fuss was all about!
The store itself is small, but don’t let its size fool you. There are shelves and displays chock full of handmade cosmetic products, ranging from these raved about bath bombs to shampoos, conditioners, and soaps. Lush also has a full range of cosmetics, too!
I had a very helpful employee named Shawn (or Sean? Forgot to ask the spelling!) who guided me through my first Lush experience. He was incredibly helpful, and started by asking me what I was looking for, and what scents I liked. He was able to explain what each product would do; down to the color my bathwater would turn during each step of the bath bomb working its magic; and even gave me a friendly warning that my «Big Blue» bath bomb contained seaweed, and to not be concerned if I started seeing seaweed in the water. I ended up leaving with both the Big Blue, and Fizzbanger bath bombs. I also got a handy catalog that outlined the products the company carries, some of the endeavors they are currently pursuing, and the mission of the company (like having vegetarian and vegan options for individuals who do not use animal products, and having a key to see «safe synthetics» and natural ingredients in the products you plan to purchase).
While this will have to be a once-​in-​a-​while splurge for me, I was absolutely impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the employee Shawn who helped me yesterday evening. Not only that, the mission of this company is amazing, and I am happy to support a company that is against animal testing, create recipes for handmade products that utilize many natural ingredients, and are active in community outreach and lessening their footprint in the environment.
