Myoptic

The shop is very nice and clean and easy to get to on Main St, Nashua. I went in for sunglasses and the selection was poor. The prices were expensive but I was expecting them to be… Just a very small selection. The owner offered opinions of things other than glasses and came off very uninformed, judgmental, and nosy. I won’t return to this store for any of my family’s eyewear because he is insulting.

Best eyeglass shop I’ve been to anywhere, which includes nearly a dozen from Virginia to Colorado. First of all, it’s super nice finding a place divorced from the optometrist, since you can shop on your terms without the pressure all-​too-​common with most optometrists/​optician shops. Unlike many comments here, I’ve only been going to Myoptic and Bob for just over two years. As someone with heavy astigmatism, frames and especially lenses are a major investment. As a result, I do a lot of research especially on lenses and the newest options, and Bob has the best of both worlds. He obviously loves carrying the newest and best quality frames – his enthusiasm is refreshing. He’s straightforward about different lens options and manufacturers. He’s also honest when he doesn’t know an answer and has to check with a supplier. I recently decided to try an office lens that would also block blue/​HEV light. After an exhaustive search I found two options I thought were the best – BluTech and TheraBlue. Both are relatively new and somewhat less-​known options. Of course, Myoptic provided both, when only a handful of shops in the state even offer BluTech. Some have written that he’s expensive and I have to say I’ve found him perfectly reasonable considering that he’s selling high-​quality options. If you want cheaper and essentially disposable options, go elsewhere.

First of all, this place is overpriced. Their selection are not as good as I expected (you can find more selections in LensCraft easily) and mostly are expensive.
I came here because of all these fabulous reviews on Unilocal but I was a little disappointed. It took me few visits to get my lens done right.

Went in today expecting to pay for an expensive repair. The owner fixed my frames in a couple minutes and didn’t charge me a thing. He was a very nice guy and made a great impression. Seems like a cool place and I’ll be back to buy my next pair.

We have done business with Bob (Myoptic owner) for over 25 years since he was located in the old Nashua Mall. Every pair of glasses since then for my wife and I have come through Myoptic. Like someone else, I got titanium frames that will last a lifetime and just need new lenses when my prescription changes. The frames are not cheap but they are absolutely top notch. If anything doesn’t work out, he’ll make it right. If you can’t find what you want and need at Myoptic, it doesn’t exist. This isn’t Lensecrafters, there are no $ 99 specials or «free» glasses. You pay for the quality you get.

Bob & Dan are really nice people and good at helping people choose frames that suit them. They are easy to work with and very customer friendly. They are patient, too, which is nice. You don’t fees rushed or pressured as you shop. The choice of frames are many and fashionable. Even though I have to drive from Manchester to get there, it is worth the trip. Thanks Bob & Dan.

I cannot rate this store and the customer service I received here high enough!
The brands were totally different than what you would ever find at a run-​of-​the-​mill eye glasses store. Although the glasses were different, there was a huge range including frames that many people would be comfortable picking to some that were very unique! The quality of all of the products offered at this shop is astounding. Keep in mind that does mean you may spend more than you would at other shops.
I was treated very personally without pressure. The men working were honest with me and pulled additional frames to see if I liked them. They picked better shapes and sizes for my face than I did!
I would recommend this shopping experience to anyone looking for excellent customer service and a great selection of frames.

This may be a big yawn because it’s another rave review for Myoptic. Last month when I stepped on my glasses and crumpled the arms beyond all recognition, I raced over to Myoptic to see about a quick repair for this pair of glasses that I would have sworn was beyond repair. But, I was wrong. Dan was able to massage those arms back into place and I was good to go. The difference between an inexpensive frame and a good frame – the good frame CAN be repaired.
But, I needed an eye-​check (so I wouldn’t step on my glasses again, maybe) and even though my frames are still in style, I decided I’d keep the old glasses as a back and get a new pair. Again, fantastic service and super selections.
I rated Myoptic’s prices as moderate because there are always sales on really stylish, yet high quality, frames. And, there are some high-​quality, high-​priced frames, as well. I’ve always been able to find something that fits the budget, but looks great. And, as before, I know I won’t see my frames on dozens of other people.
Myoptic just can’t be beat for great glasses!

Great selection of fun frames. Lines that I have never seen before and I have a lot of frames. He carries a wide range of top end lenses comparable to what is found in NYC. In addition, it a very dog friendly store. very good customer service. It’s a place where he will remember your name. I will be back!

i just looked up Myoptic on the internet, and decided to read their reviews. yes, i agree that the place to go for style on the edge is here. today was the second time i bought glasses from bob (the owner) and Max (the dog) and have been delighted with my choice on each occasion. i have worn glasses for years, and have NEVER before had people go out of their way to tell me what good-​looking glasses i had, and where did i get them? i am a walking testimonial for this little shop on main street, downtown nashua. keep up whatever it is you do to make the magic happen! kudos!

Awesome frames. If you want the utmost in style, this is the only place I can suggest in the Granite State (New Hampshire). Otherwise, it’s Boston or New York. The owner is awesome. The frames are awesome. The only complaint I have is that when I bought glasses there a few years ago, they didn’t take my eye care insurance. That may have changed since then… I just don’t know. I still bought my glasses from them. The insurance wouldn’t have saved me that much anyway and the edgy styles they have can’t be found anywhere else around here.

I bought a pair of lightweight, flexible, unbreakable titanium frames that I plan to wear the rest of my life — a good investment — just changing the lenses. They’re so comfortable I can nap in them.

Myoptic isn’t your typical eyeglasses store. Don’t expect to be able to get your prescription here as a one-​stop-​shopping experience, nor will they churn out your glasses in an hour.
What they do deliver is interesting and fabulous designer frames from all over the world. These are glasses that you won’t see everyone else wearing. There’s hardly-​there frames from Denmark, boxy ones from Japan, trendy frames from France, and even sparkly Betsy Johnson cat’s-eye frames with rhinestones. But admittedly, you’ve got to pay extra for style — many frames run from $ 200 to $ 400, and lenses are not included in that figure.
The sales process was relaxed. I visited the shop four times before deciding on my glasses, and at no point was I pressured to buy. (One visit, I was encouraged to wait to pick out my glasses, since the owner thought I might like a certain pair of frames coming in next week!)
Be sure to check out their clearance and discount case in the back where many frames are 50% off — a great value if you can find a pair you love.
Once I made up my mind, my glasses were delivered to me faster than promised (3 days instead of a week) and were of excellent quality. My only quibble is this — I don’t feel that the super-​high-​end lenses are necessarily any better than the mid-​grade ones I’d purchased on previous pairs of glasses at reducing visual glare at night.
Since I depend on my glasses every waking hour of the day, it’s worth it to me to spend a little more to get a unique and fun pair. I’m looking forward to my next visit — I’m planning on my second pair soon!

I live five hours away from this place. I’ve gotten several pairs of glasses here, and have never experienced anything but the most helpful, friendly people and an amazing selection of glasses. The next time I need glasses I’m going here. Even though I live five hours away.
