Came here for the music at night. Place kind of reminds me of what the Love Shack in the B52 song would look like. Gets a mixed crowd of folks. A plus is that it’s open 24 hours. A minus, is that the food and service are quirky.

Was here in 07 and loved the atmosphere. Always friendly people and cordial. Ate here many times and never left hungry. Not so much in 2016. Ordered French toast with a pretty healthy appetite. 2 pieces of French toast. 2 frickin pieces for 8 dollars? It’s bread how much does that cost? Bacon. 3 little scrawny pieces for 3 bucks? What an embarrassment for the staff that HAS to serve this. I will go back. But I won’t order anything other than ice water. Good place to hang with friends. NOTHINGMORE!

Stopped back by after a few months and CoCo is just as good as ever! It was pretty cold out and the friends that I meet there smoke, so we were happy to find that they had put up plastic and overhead heaters in one section of the patio. The setup worked well and we were nice and toasty. I decided to try something new and ordered the Italian Beef. The only way to describe it would be the hybrid of a Philly and a French dip. The bread was fresh and soft with just a bit of crunch to the crust, topped with beef, shrooms, peppers and onions smothered with cheese. Then you get a cup of au jus to dip it in and a side of corn chips. The sandwich was ridiculously good and I’ll definitely be having another one of those again soon! To top it off, even though they were very busy, everyone was extremely patient and courteous. Couldn’t have asked for better service!

We came here to study for the morning. The space is A ok, not too impressive. Maybe it has to do with the old interiors, the bland atmosphere(no music), or I dont know. The fact that it’s open 24⁄7 is already appealing enough I guess — my husband comes here a lot to write papers. Their drinks are mediocre too. I got a latte which is too sweet and milky(is that a word?) — not the kind of coffee I need for morning work. I wont come back since there are too many good other coffee stores in Nashville that i have yet gone to.

I love their sandwiches and coffee and the fact they are open 24 hours, i always reccommend for people visiting nashville to stop in. It’s a neat place to visit interesting atmosphere. Be careful where you park or you can get booted, just pay attention to the signs,. I’ve had mostly good experiences with the staff, I have had the occasional douche bag who acts like you are bothering them to place an order or ask a question, if it weren’t for that I would eat there more often when I venture up that way, instead of just occasionally.

Café Coco is open 24 hours a day, which means they have your back when you get out of a late show and are looking for some chow. They serve breakfast all day, which is perfect in so many ways. Our food of choice here is the BIGBRUTUS, which is essentially a egg and veggie scramble served on a bed of tater tots and with a side of toast. I’ve had better, and the tater tots tend to get a little steamed under the egg scramble, but some days only tots will do. Eating the Big Brutus and listening to open mic night(Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Backstage Bar) was one of my favorite experiences in Nashville. Their desserts always look delicious, so save some room. The OATMEALRAISINCOOKIE was cinnamon-y and delicious. Their coffee tends to be good as well. I tried the WARPEDDWARFDOUBLE, which is a mocha with a touch of cinnamon and cayenne pepper. It is only listed in their online menu, but they’ll make it for you and it is a great choice if you enjoy slightly spicy things. The CAFEAULAIT is good, although not quite as special. Café Coco is on our short list of places to go when we’re in downtown Nashville. If you can catch an open mic night, it’s even better.

Their slogan«be patient» is an under statement. Waited at least an HOUR to get our food, and it wasn’t until right before they were about to finally make my food did they then tell me that they were out of the meat, so «would it be okay if it was Ham instead of Turkey»… well, I’ve already paid AND tipped, and have waited this long so Yea, I guess I’m stuck with having ham. THEN food came 10 minutes after that, and they left things off, so I had to send it back. This was our first(and last) time going to this place, but it would have been a nice heads up warning that when they say«be patient» they mean«be prepared to wait a long ass time for some mediocre food» Kicker — the place wasn’t even busy, there were empty tables everywhere, so it wasn’t even like we came during a massive rush that backed up the kitchen. Ridiculous.

I’ve been here so many times and perhaps, I’m just ordering the wrong thing off the menu. Drinks: Very solid. Coffee, tea, or even the italian sodas are very good. Food: I’ve gotten chicken tenders, chicken salad sandwich and pasta here, not very impressed with it ever. Though I will say, my friend raves on and on about their chicken parm sandwich and loves it. One critique I have for them is their fries. I feel like they’re the frozen crinkly fries that you just put in the oven and it seems that they just sprinkle seasoning on them. I didn’t really think my fries were all that good. Service: It’s always very back and forth. Most of the time, the workers are very friendly, but last night in particular the guy who took my order was very rude. If I could give a 3.5 I would! It’s a great place to catch up with a friend or just to do some studying on your own!

So, you find yourself with a sickening hunger in the middle of the night, craving more than just a snack. perhaps a college atmosphere with a side of homeless stench? Café coco is the place for you. And what will really leave you satisfied and not annoyed at all are those 60 sweet sweet minutes it could have taken you to drive to about two other restaurants and eaten before you receive the BEST dry chicken in all of Nashville. Café slomo? I understand what you attend Café coco for is not supposed a fine dining experience but there’s a lot of ignorance and rudeness implied from all the staff and/or other customers. I appreciate the 24 hour aspect of it, but all in all I DONOT understand why I keep coming back

I went one morning just for a cup of coffee and was a really really good! Great selection of coffees and great service. I got the Rasputina wich is double mocha with sweet raspberry and spicy cinnamon and my husband got Warped DWarf, double mocha with sprinkling of cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Can’t wait to go back and try their food!

Oh the memories at Café Coco! I used to frequent this place in college to study in a cool atmosphere. I now come here to enjoy the delicious cold drafts, conversation, mixed demographic and cool décor. During my recent visit I came with a group and it was not the same Café Coco at all. When I got in line all I wanted was a nice cold Sweetwater. Needless to say forty actual minutes later, I got to the front of the line only to wait another 10 minutes while the Barista/cashier/bartender/food runner talked to a fellow patron(who was not in line) regarding his upcoming show. I still love this place but that will slowly die if they do not hire more people. I’ll give it another try due to the fact that school just started and update then! In the meantime you should ask Café Coco if they are hiring because they could use the help!

I only gave this one star because there isn’t an option of zero stars. DONOTATTEMPTTHISPLACE! We had a group of four at 2 in the morning and were the only people in the«restaurant». The«staff» seems annoyed by having customers. They all seemed stoned and kept going outside to hang out. We ordered at the counter, paid and found a dirty nasty seat. After a half hour had passed we started going up to the counter to ask for our waters that the guy promised to bring us. We finally ended up getting our own ten minutes later. After waiting over an hour for our eggs, fries, and chicken strips we started questioning the staff about our food only to be told it would come soon. Our friend’s food came but ours took another 15 minutes, at least. To say this place is all-around horrible is a huge understatement.

Great looking treats and drinks and coffee, there is also a menu to order food so that’s cool! This place is open 24/7, great seating inside with places to use laptops or read, and the outside patio area is not only spacious but beautiful with the plants and lights(at night). Too late for me to drink coffee but with their selection and atmosphere I’ll definitely come back. The drinks I’ve tried that my group got are all delicious!

Limited to very few late night vegan options, my friend and I placed and order for vegan chili and hippy dippy(a bagel with veggies). After a 55 minute wait, I asked to speak with a manager and very politely asked about our order. He quickly responded by telling me that it’s «normal for it to take 45 minutes and that it’s not Burger King.» The restaurant seemed to be slow, patron wise, so I feel that the excuse of being busy isn’t valid. I feel that as a manager, your responsibility is to make your customers(my friend and I) feel valued and important, not to right away, make us feel like our unexpected wait time is completely normal, thus making me question how I conduct other areas of my life. Point being, if you have an hour to wait for your food, Café Coco is a great option and you will be completely satisfied. Expect at least a 45min wait on your order. Service sucks but the food is good, once you get it.

Only coffee shop open 24 hours in Nashville, which is perfect for late-night studying. There is ample space, in the front and side outdoor patios, inside and in the middle and back annexes. I usually like the back annex because it’s quieter during the day and when they don’t have live bands. Oh! They have some awesome local and live bands weekly, which makes this my favorite acoustic café(obviously not while studying). They serve coffee, beer on draft and in bottles, and now WINE! As an advocate of balancing caffeine and alcohol, this is a great place to get both of your fixes. The food here is pretty decent, too. I like the personal sized pizza, vegan burger with sweet potato fries, but they also have a pretty decent brunch menu. The kitchen is small, so be prepared for a wait. Honestly, this is not a grab-and-go coffee place, there will always be a wait time from under 5 mins to sometimes 45 mins for food during rush times. Just be prepared. However, the wait time is decent if you’re looking for a casual place to hang out with friends, especially after the bars close.

This place is not for everyone. But if you need a 24 hour joint with wifi, your options are limited. The coffee is good, the staff is courteous, the menu has a lot of options for food that is reasonable, and the desserts are awesome! No food for me tonight, just coffee. But I’ve eaten here a few times before and never been disappointed. It’s a bit loud at times, but there are quieter periods if you want to read or study. If you need a place to eat late, or drink coffee, it’s the best choice in Nashville. Smoking is allowed outside, so if that bothers you too much, then go elsewhere. Inside is clean air, but seating is limited and they get busy sometimes! It doubles as a bar in the back, so if noise bothers you, this place isn’t for you. But for me, I love unique places, especially that are open 24 hrs. You never know who you might meet here, and I consider Café Coco to be a positive, fun experience every time I visit.

This is the loveliest, dirtiest, don’t-give-a-shitiest place on Earth. I’ve been in love with it since I was a Vanderbilt undergraduate. I haven’t lived in Nashville since 2009, but my first stop in town was here. The beer is good, the food is good, the desserts are superior. Big thumbs up for the cream cheese brownie. It’s almost exactly like I left it. I couldn’t be happier. It’s so junky. I love it so much. Even the slightly-less-than-comatose cashier might be the same! Life goal #4: start my own Café Coco business in retirement!

I have to say I was disappointed. I went early in the morning before work about 6:30 am, the place was dead, which I was good with because I wouldn’t have to wait long on my food. The worker was outside smoking a cigarette on the steps. He came in behind me and said«CAN I HELPYOU?» I asked for a menu while standing at the counter and he handed me one. He wasn’t friendly, he didn’t suggest anything even when I said it was my first time and I didn’t know what to order. So I ended up with a croissant with egg, cheese, spinach, jalapeño peppers with cheese and ham. It was a little dry but it was good. The restaurant was laid out. I enjoyed the old house being turned into a restaurant. I enjoyed that much. I liked the interior. The bathroom was very clean and so was the restaurant. The prices was high. for the sandwich and a soda $ 11 with taxes… too high for the food quality and services. I will not go back again… but I hope your experience is better than mine. I recommend you try it out and review with your own experience. I am sure others may like what they order.

I went here with some girlfriends who had been before. They both ordered the veggie rockefeller and I chose the skinny wrap with sweet potato fries because I wasn’t starving. The wrap I had was fresh and good but nothing to write home about honestly. I added hot sauce and it was better but I wish I would have ordered the same thing the girls ordered. Wow that thing was GOOD. Probably 1500 calories but so tasty. The sweet potato fries were really good too. I definitely want to go back and get that freakin rockefeller sammie. Cute spot. Paid parking so just park on the street for free.
