This place immediately made me think of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The handcrafted chocolates are gorgeous and taste as good as they look! I loved the ghost pepper caramel – just the right ratio of spicy and sweet. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Every time I’m in the area, I stop by for chocolate. I love the way the smell of the chocolate greets you at the door. It’s affordable, it’s delicious, and I really enjoy the creative designs. I’ve sent a few friends this way and they really liked it. Also: my gf’s mother loved the mixed box of chocolates that I got her. Thanks, Andrea!

Omg, this chocolate is AMAZING! You can really taste the care and love that goes into each piece. Great gift boxes and assortment for any occasion too. The dark chocolate varieties are my favorite as my boyfriend really enjoys the ghost pepper. Seriously, Nashville peeps or visitors definitely mark this as a place to visit during your travels!

This is by far, the best chocolate I’ve ever had. Not only is it delicious, but it’s spectacularly gorgeous to look at. Hands down, the best chocolate in Nashville. The woman who owns and makes the chocolate is just as rad as the chocolate is sweet. You will be blow away! Try the Ghost Pepper Caramels and the Bacon Toffee. Two of my favorites.

Oh my! You walk right into chocolate making heaven. The store is small and the owner is right there up to her elbows in chocolate. She was so nice and encouraged all the customers to ask questions. They have awesomely beautiful chocolates. There was the Star Wars themed gift set(Storm Trooper, Darth Vader and Yoda) and the Day of the Dead set. All are in different flavors of chocolate. I asked if they sold the Star Wars individually and they don’t. Bummer. They also have individual chocolate pieces. There are some with Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre or skulls on them. Not all are horror fixated. There are flamingos too! I bought dark chocolate salted caramel, bacon seasoned dark chocolate and ghost pepper flavored chocolate caramel. All have been excellent. The ghost pepper does sneak up on you but damn it’s good! It’s an easy 5 star rating. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Nashville.

If these chocolates were a lady and I was a dude, I would ask them out on a date. I would buy her flowers and escort her to the fine dining restaurant where we would eat fancy small plates of food that cost too much. If these chocolates were a lady and I was a dude I’d tell her«I don’t need to see the dessert menu. I have you.» I would politely ask if she’d like to come back to my house and watch Purple Rain(because I heard that works on the ladies.) Then I would hold her chocolatey skull face, tell her I was madly in love with her. I would lay her down, touch her face, look deep into her eyes and slow bone her until day break. I mean… I liked the truffles and bacon toffee very much.

I’ve tried the best and a big fan of dark chocolate and pure cocao. Out of all the places in Nashville, Chocolate FX is the upper tier of chocolatiers. Andrea is a lovely person and a true artist. I recommend starting with a simple dark chocolate truffle, then venturing off into lavender and mint herbed pieces. They have something for everyone and competitively and appropriately priced. if you are looking for bargain chocolate? this is not the place.(see Gas Station counter)

I’ve been in 3 times in the short while that they’ve been open, and the chocolate is delicious, the flavors exciting, and the chocolatiers charming. Go there!

Chocolate F/X is a new addition to the Fatherland shoppes as of recent. as in reallllll recent. The chief chocolatier is Andrea Smith– a self proclaimed sci fi fanatic and a woman that will forever hold a special place in my heart… for she combined two of my loves… star wars… and chocolate. You can ask the cashier about the time some customer in a muumuu(a fashionable one mind you) almost had a seizure in store when she stumbled upon a chocolate taser gun and C-3PO. Seriously. A tear was shed, the heavens parted, angels sang and my side braid morphed into a padawan training braid. Eat you I must. The sci fi molds are PERFECT for gifts… psh. fo yoself. #treatyoself. And they are a steal for $ 10. They are a great size too. You would expect some tiny thing from a chocolatier as nice as this. No – its like the size of your palm plus some. The store also has a huge variety of truffles that are just gorgeous. And delicious. And $ 1.50 a piece. The ghost pepper caramel is a unique and must try flavor. You can guarantee that I will be back and will try every single flavor. But no. can we take a moment. A chocolate taser gun? Baby stun me.
